J.T. Realmuto C | PHI
Phillies' J.T. Realmuto: Collects three hits in loss
Realmuto went 3-for-4 with an RBI double in Saturday's 5-4 loss to the Padres.
Realmuto has posted a trio of three-hit efforts in July, going 14-for-33 (.424) across nine games this month. He's added three RBI and four doubles, but he hasn't hit a home run since May 21 in Colorado. The catcher is at a .264/.322/.376 slash line with five homers, 31 RBI, 35 runs scored, five stolen bases, 16 doubles and one triple across 78 games. While his power looks to be in full decline, he's still making steady contact overall.

Zack Wheeler SP | PHI
Phillies' Zack Wheeler: Allows four runs in no-decision
Wheeler allowed four runs on six hits and a walk while striking out six over six innings in a no-decision versus the Padres on Saturday.
Wheeler had given up one run or fewer in five of his previous six starts, posting a 0.68 ERA and 54:7 K:BB across 40 innings in that span. The Padres were able to get some revenge for the eight shutout innings he twirled against them June 30 in Philadelphia. This was also the first time all year Wheeler has given up multiple home runs in a start, as Jackson Merrill took him deep twice. Wheeler still has a superb 2.36 ERA, 0.86 WHIP and 154:26 K:BB through 122 innings over 19 starts this season.

Matt Strahm RP | KC
Phillies' Matt Strahm: Fires clean eighth inning Saturday
Strahm threw a clean eighth inning in Saturday's 5-4 loss to San Diego. He struck out two.
Even though Strahm hasn't seen a save chance since June 29, he's been excellent to start July. The veteran left-hander has fanned multiple batters in three of his first four appearances of the month, allowing a lone hit over four scoreless innings so far. It's worth noting Orion Kerkering has stumbled to a 6.23 ERA over his last 4.1 frames, which should give Strahm a leg up in Philadelphia's competition for save opportunities going forward.

Jackson Merrill CF | SD
Padres' Jackson Merrill: Breaks slump in big way
Merrill went 2-for-4 with two home runs and three RBI in Saturday's 5-4 win over the Phillies.
Merrill tied the game at 2-2 with his second-inning homer and then added a solo shot to even things up again at 4-4 in the sixth. The outfielder had gone just 3-for-35 (.086) during a brutal slump over the first 10 games of July, and his pair of homers Saturday ended a 34-game power drought dating back to May 28. The 22-year-old is slashing .263/.326/.417 with seven homers, 32 RBI, 33 runs scored, one stolen base, 12 doubles and two triples over 63 contests. Merrill's slump has seen him drop from the No. 2 spot in the order -- he's hit fifth or sixth over the last five games. The All-Star break should offer him a chance to get a mental reset ahead of the second half.

Jeremiah Estrada RP | SD
Padres' Jeremiah Estrada: Snags third save
Estrada struck out one in a perfect inning to earn the save in Saturday's 5-4 win over the Phillies.
Estrada was one of four San Diego relievers to have pitched three of the previous four days, but he was apparently deemed good to go for a save chance Saturday. Usual closer Robert Suarez had also seen a similar workload and was held back from pitching in this contest. Estrada is now second on the team with three saves, though he's no threat to Suarez's closer role, as he's instead functioned as a setup man throughout the year. Overall, Estrada has a 2.93 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 60:16 K:BB while adding 21 holds and three blown saves across 43 innings.

Yu Darvish SP | SD
Padres' Yu Darvish: Stretches out in second start
Darvish allowed four runs on five hits and three walks while striking out two over 4.2 innings in a no-decision versus the Phillies on Saturday.
Darvish upped his pitch count to 83 (46 strikes) in his second start after returning from an elbow injury. The results weren't any better than in his season debut, and he's still having some trouble establishing his control -- in addition to the three walks, he also had a wild pitch in this contest. Darvish has allowed six runs over 8.1 innings while adding a 7:6 K:BB. He should continue to build up his workload, and having some time off during the All-Star break will be a benefit as well. His next start will be on the road following the break, either against the Nationals or Marlins, both of whom make for favorable matchups.

Landen Roupp SP | SF
Giants' Landen Roupp: Pitches well but takes loss
Roupp (6-6) took the loss against the Dodgers on Saturday, allowing two runs (one earned) on seven hits and one walk while striking out eight batters over six innings.
The first run against Roupp came on a pair of infield singles, a throwing error and a groundout in the second inning. The right-hander yielded another run on two singles sandwiched around a walk in the sixth, which proved to be his final frame. The Dodgers managed just one extra-base hit (a double) against Roupp, and he racked up an impressive 16 whiffs along with eight punchouts, but San Francisco gave him only one run of support, causing him to take a tough-luck loss. Still, this was another promising start by the 26-year-old hurler; he's now given up two or fewer runs in five straight outings, posting a 1.37 ERA with a 26:12 K:BB across 26.1 innings during that span.

Jack Suwinski RF | LAD
Pirates' Jack Suwinski: Hits first homer
Suwinski went 1-for-4 with a solo home run during Saturday's 12-4 loss to the Twins.
Suwinski delivered a 26-homer, 74-RBI season in 2023, but it's been a really tough campaign for him in 2025. The 26-year-old has gone back-and-forth between Triple-A Indianapolis and Pittsburgh plenty, and just now hit his first home run of the season in his 21st big-league game. He enters the All-Star break without much of a guaranteed role, slashing just .120/.241/.200.

Tanner Scott RP | LAD
Dodgers' Tanner Scott: Rebounds for 19th save
Scott earned a save against San Francisco on Saturday, striking out two batters in a perfect inning.
Scott entered Saturday in the midst of a small rough patch, as he blew his previous save opportunity Wednesday versus Milwaukee and gave up three runs over two innings across his past two outings. He got back on track against the Giants to help the Dodgers snap a seven-game losing streak, fanning two of the three batters he faced in a 12-pitch ninth inning. Scott has had some struggles this season -- he's tied for the MLB lead with six blown saves -- but the lefty remains Los Angeles' primary closer and has collected 19 saves while posting a 3.77 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 49:7 K:BB over 43 innings.

Michael Burrows SP | HOU
Pirates' Mike Burrows: Chased early at Target Field
Burrows (1-3) earned the loss after lasting just 1.1 innings, allowing six runs on five hits and three walks while striking out one during Saturday's 12-4 loss to the Twins.
After posting five shutout innings with six strikeouts his last time out, Burrows had perhaps his worst start as a pro Saturday. The 25-year-old set a couple of career marks that pitchers don't really like to set, allowing a career-high six runs in 1.1 innings, the shortest start of his young career. The right-hander will enter the All-Star break with a 4.83 ERA, 1.46 WHIP and 42 strikeouts in 41 innings pitched.
