Bailey went 1-for-3 with a run scored in Saturday's 2-1 loss to the Dodgers.

Bailey singled on a line drive to right field in the eighth inning before coming around to score the Giants' only run. The 26-year-old catcher has recorded at least one hit in four of his last six games, slashing .316/.350/.526 with four runs scored, three RBI and a home run across 20 plate appearances during that span. Overall, he owns a .202/.267/.298 slash line with 26 RBI, 24 runs scored and two homers in 246 plate appearances this season.

Kelly (calf) will start Sunday's game against the Angels in Anaheim.

Kelly dealt with some right calf discomfort in his most recent start Tuesday but still covered seven innings and 77 pitches before he was lifted. Afterward, manager Torey Lovullo downplayed the issue, and Kelly validated his skipper's optimism. The right-hander will head into his final appearance before the All-Star break having turned in quality starts in five of his past seven outings.

Atlanta optioned Cox to Triple-A Gwinnett on Sunday.

Cox's latest stint with the big club lasted just under two weeks. He made four relief appearances following his July 2 call-up from Gwinnett, giving up one earned run on four hits and one walk over five innings. Cox will cede his spot on the active roster to right-hander Davis Daniel, who was recalled from Triple-A to either start or pitch in bulk relief Sunday in St. Louis.

Daniel was recently placed on Gwinnett's temporary inactive list earlier this week for the birth of his child, but he's ready to return to action and will end up joining the big club for the second time this season, and the right-hander will start Sunday in St. Louis. Atlanta has a pair of open spots in its rotation, so with a respectable showing, Daniel could begin the second half in a starting role. Over 14 appearances (13 starts) at Gwinnett this season, Daniel owns a 3.27 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 59:31 K:BB across 71.2 innings.

Vesia notched a hold against the Giants on Saturday by retiring both batters he faced in the eighth inning.

Vesia entered the contest in a huge spot, inheriting a bases-loaded, one-out situation with the Dodgers holding a 2-0 lead. The lefty was able to keep Los Angeles ahead, allowing a Rafael Devers sacrifice fly before getting Matt Chapman to ground into a fielder's choice. Vesia has been outstanding across the past six weeks, posting a 1.23 ERA, 0.48 WHIP and 18:2 K:BB over 14.2 frames while recording six holds and two saves across 18 appearances. He's been one of Los Angeles' top high-leverage arms throughout the campaign, and his 17 holds have already a established a new career high.

Fraley (shoulder) drew a walk as a pinch hitter in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Rockies.

Though the Reds faced a right-handed starter (Bradley Blalock) on Saturday, the left-handed-hitting Fraley wasn't included in the lineup in his first game back from the 10-day injured list. Instead of Fraley, the Reds went with another left-handed hitter in Will Benson in right field. The Reds face lefty Austin Gomber on Sunday, and manager Terry Francona could go with the right-handed-hitting Connor Joe in right field over Fraley and Benson.

Benson started in right field and went 1-for-4 with a triple, an RBI and a run scored in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Rockies.

Benson's triple drove in a run, and he then scored the game-winning run in the bottom of the ninth of Cincinnati's walk-off win. He remained in the starting nine against a right-hander (Bradley Blalock), despite the return of Jake Fraley (shoulder), who was activated off the injured list Saturday. Fraley has traditionally started against righties when healthy, and he could eventually overtake Benson as the Reds' preferred option at the position.

Perdomo batted ninth and went 0-for-3 in Saturday's 10-5 loss to the Angels.

For the last month, Perdomo made a home in the upper third of the batting order, but he was back down hitting ninth Saturday, which is where he started the season. It's unclear if this will be a permanent shift, but the shortstop has been productive no matter where he's been slotted.

Morillo allowed four runs on five hits while striking out one over one inning in Saturday's 10-5 loss to the Angels.

Morillo, who entered the game to begin the eighth inning with a 0.82 ERA over his previous 14 outings, let a one-run deficit balloon to five by the time he was done. In the wake of several bullpen injuries, the rookie's name was recently floated for high-leverage situations, but he was not up to challenge Saturday. Although walks didn't play a role in Saturday's performance, control has been a challenge for Morillo, who owns a 5.3 BB/9.

Singer did not factor into the decision Saturday, allowing three runs on seven hits and one walk over 6.1 innings against the Rockies. He struck out nine.

Singer worked around plenty of traffic Saturday but limited the damage to three runs before exiting. The right-hander has been serviceable, though unspectacular, in his first season with the Reds, carrying a 4.32 ERA and 1.35 WHIP across 100 innings in 19 starts.
