Burleson (foot) will start in left field and bat third Tuesday against the Rockies, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
Burleson was originally set to miss Tuesday's game after fouling a ball off his right foot Monday, but he evidently is feeling well enough to return to the lineup without missing a start. Brendan Donovan will shift to second base as a result, moving Thomas Saggese to the bench.

Miller (forearm) threw 16 pitches to live hitters Tuesday, but the session was cut short when his lower back tightened up, Alex Weiner of ArizonaSports.com reports.
Miller has been working his way back from a right forearm strain, throwing a bullpen session Saturday before facing live hitters Tuesday. The right-hander's arm felt good, but with the back issue popping up, the team opted to play it safe with Miller. The team will reportedly see how he's feeling Wednesday and go from there with his recovery plan.

Brewers' Sal Frelick: Expects to return Friday
Frelick (hamstring) expects to be back in the Brewers' lineup Friday, but he has some tests to pass first, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
Frelick suffered a left hamstring strain in Milwaukee's final contest before the All-Star break, ultimately being placed on the 10-day injured list Friday, retroactive to July 15. The outfielder is eligible to return to action Friday at home versus the Marlins, and he appears confident that he will do so. Frelick will participate in batting practice prior to Tuesday's contest versus the Mariners, which will provide more clarity on his timeline to return.

Marlins' Jack Winkler: Back in majors
The Marlins recalled Winkler from Triple-A Jacksonville on Tuesday, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.
The 26-year-old has spent the past three weeks in the minors but will rejoin the Marlins on Tuesday with Derek Hill (finger) landing on the injured list. Winkler has appeared in nine MLB games this season and has gone 1-for-11 with a stolen base, a run and four strikeouts.

Marlins' Derek Hill: Lands on IL
The Marlins placed Hill on the 10-day injured list Tuesday due to a sprained left middle finger, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.
Hill apparently suffered the injury in the batting cage Saturday and will be sidelined for at least the next week-plus. Jack Winkler was added to the big-league roster in a corresponding move.

Hernandez isn't in the lineup for Tuesday's game versus Minnesota.
Hernandez will take a day to regroup Tuesday after going 1-for-15 with an RBI and five strikeouts since the All-Star break. Michael Conforto, James Outman and Andy Pages will start across Los Angeles' outfield while Hernandez sits.

Gordon is expected to be called up from Triple-A Albuquerque to start Wednesday versus the Cardinals at Coors Field, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.
Gordon is set to join the rotation as a replacement for German Marquez (biceps), who is headed to the 15-day injured list. The 27-year-old righty has previously made three starts for Colorado this season, logging a 4.24 ERA and 1.35 WHIP in 17 innings.

Rockies' German Marquez: Likely to go on IL
Marquez said Tuesday that he has been diagnosed with right biceps tendon inflammation and is likely to land on the injured list, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.
Marquez sustained the injury in his start in Sunday's loss to the Twins. The Rockies haven't provided a timeline for Marquez's return, but he'll likely be out for longer than the minimum 15 days. The Rockies plan to recall Tanner Gordon from Triple-A Albuquerque on Wednesday to replace Marquez on the 26-man active roster and in the rotation.
