The Mariners recalled Wilcox from Triple-A Tacoma on Tuesday, Adam Jude of The Seattle Times reports.

Wilcox was sent down to Triple-A in early May and has since turned in a 5.03 ERA and 1.30 WHIP alongside a 24:6 K:BB over 19.2 innings. Despite his subpar performance, he'll return to the big leagues to replace Josh Simpson and add a fresh arm to the Mariners' bullpen.

Wells is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Tigers.

With an ace lefty (Tarik Skubal) on the bump for Detroit, Wells will be one of the four left-handed Yankees batters who will head to the bench. Jazz Chisholm (head), Cody Bellinger and Spencer Jones will also exit the starting nine.

Guerrero was scratched from the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Mets due to back tightness.

The star first baseman departed Friday's contest against the Cubs due to a back issue, but he didn't miss any additional time until being scratched from Tuesday's starting nine. Guerrero should be considered day-to-day as he continues to be evaluated. Sean Keys will shift to first base for Toronto.

Canzone is not in the lineup versus Angels on Tuesday.

Canzone is absent from the lineup after starting in Monday's 6-2 win against the Angels, in which he went 1-for-4 with a home run. Randy Arozarena has the start as the designated hitter while Victor Robles gets the start in left field Tuesday.

Loftin (groin) will start at third base and bat eighth in Sunday's game against the Rays.

After sustaining a groin bruise late in Saturday's 2-1 loss to the White Sox, Loftin ended up sitting out Sunday's series finale. The game off plus Monday's team off day appears to have provided sufficient recovery time for Loftin, who will step back in at third base, where he's been serving as the Royals' primary starter since Maikel Garcia (hand) landed on the injured list. After producing a 1.006 OPS through his first 17 games of June, Loftin went hitless in 14 at-bats over his last four starts before exiting the lineup Sunday.

The Royals transferred Kolek (personal) from the paternity list to the family medical emergency list Tuesday.

The right-hander was scratched from his start Friday against the White Sox in order to be placed on the paternity list, and this transaction will allow him to spend more time away from the team. It's unclear if Kolek is expected to be back with the Royals for his next turn through the rotation, which lined up for Thursday versus Tampa Bay.

Diaz (shoulder) is batting leadoff as the designated hitter Tuesday against the Royals.

The 34-year-old departed Sunday's game against the Diamondbacks due to a left shoulder strain, but he's good to go for Tuesday's series opener following Monday's team off day. Diaz has carried a scorching bat in June with a .391/.468/.489 slash line in 25 games, though he has just seven extra-base hits (six doubles and one homer).
