Burrows (elbow) will make a rehab start for Triple-A Sugar Land on Friday, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

Burrows tossed 55 pitches over three innings at Houston's complex Saturday, and as previously reported, he'll make his next appearance at Triple-A. He figures to need at least a few rehab starts for Sugar Land, and he may remain in the minors once deemed healthy, as the Astros had optioned him to Triple-A Sugar Land on July 7 before later placing him on the injured list, which nullified the demotion.

Bachman (forearm) played catch out to 60 feet Monday, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

Bachman landed on the 15-day injured list Wednesday due to right forearm radial nerve inflammation, though it's a positive sign that he's already been cleared to resume throwing. Assuming he checks out fine after tossing Monday, he'll likely be asked to throw again later in the week and could resume mound work in the near future.

Rivero (hand) was returned from his rehab assignment Monday after suffering a setback, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

Bollinger notes that Rivero's hand wasn't responding as well as the team had hoped while out on his rehab assignment. He'll likely be shut down for at least the next few days before being re-evaluated. Rivero has been on the shelf since June 10 after suffering a left hamate fracture.

Jung (calf) hasn't participated in baseball activities in over a week, Shawn McFarland of The Dallas Morning News reports.

The team reported last Wednesday that Jung would miss at least another 10 days, though the fact that he's yet to be cleared to resume baseball activities presumably means he's in store for a lengthier absence. He was placed on the 10-day injured list July 25 with a left calf strain and has done some running, but not much else to this point.

Diaz is absent from the lineup for Monday's game in San Francisco.

Diaz started at catcher in Sunday's contest versus the Padres, but he will exit the lineup Monday for the second time over the last three games. Christian Vazquez will be behind the dish and will bat ninth for the Astros.

Hicks is not in the lineup for Monday's contest versus the Athletics.

Lefty Jacob Lopez is starting for the Athletics, marking the first time the Rays have faced a southpaw since the left-handed-hitting Hicks joined the club. Nick Fortes will grab a start at catcher while Hicks rests.

Mullins is absent from the lineup for Monday's game against the Athletics.

The left-handed-hitting Mullins starts against some lefties, but he'll take a seat Monday as the A's send southpaw Jacob Lopez to the bump. Jonny DeLuca will patrol center field.

Rivero (hand) was returned from his rehab assignment Monday.

Rivero appeared in five minor-league games as part of his rehab assignment, going 1-for-14 in that span. It's unclear whether he's suffered a setback or is ready to return to action. If he's cleared to be taken off the IL, then Rivero would likely be optioned to Triple-A Salt Lake, given that the Angels carry three catchers on the 26-man roster in Tyler Heineman, Travis d'Arnaud and Moises Ballesteros.

The Angels placed Anderson on the 15-day injured list Monday due to right shoulder inflammation.

The injury may have cropped during his last appearance Sunday, when he allowed six runs on six hits and one walk while striking out two in one inning of relief against the Marlins. A minimum stint on the IL would have Anderson back in action in late August, though he'll undergo more tests on his throwing shoulder to help shape a recovery timeline. The Angels selected Sammy Peralta's contract from Triple-A Salt Lake in a corresponding move.

Peralta signed a minor-league contract with the Angels in late June and will now work out the team's bullpen after Shaun Anderson (shoulder) was placed on the 15-day injured list in a corresponding move. The left-hander's numbers across 15 games with Salt Lake haven't been great, as he has a 9.37 ERA and 2.05 WHIP over 16.1 innings.
