The Angels selected Candelario's contract from Triple-A Salt Lake on Tuesday.

Candelario earned a spot on the Angels' Opening Day roster after slashing .245/.339/.612 with four homers, 10 RBI and eight runs scored over 56 plate appearances in the Cactus League. He will provide infield depth for the big club to begin the season while Vaughn Grissom (wrist) is on the injured list.

Gray will make the Twins' Opening Day roster barring any last-minute trades, the Minnesota Star Tribune reports.

Gray will be a utility infielder and primary backup at shortstop to Brooks Lee. He's hit just .207/.264/.369 over parts of three big-league seasons, so he's on the roster for his glove and not his bat. It's also possible the Twins may shuffle their bench early in the season or make a last-second waiver claim since they lack a true backup shortstop.

The Angels designated Sandridge for assignment Tuesday.

Sandridge posted a 4.55 ERA across 31.2 innings with the Yankees' Triple-A affiliate last season, and he gave up five earned runs in just two innings during his brief time in major-league camp this spring. His poor performance will now cost him his place on the Angels' 40-man roster, making room for Joey Lucchesi, who signed a major-league deal with the team Tuesday.

Kent will make the Twins' Opening Day roster in the bullpen barring any last-second trades, the Minnesota Star Tribune reports. He had a 3.52 ERA and 8:1 K:BB in 7.2 innings this spring.

Kent wasn't thought to be a candidate to win a job in the bullpen, but he turned heads this spring with a strong performance. He'll likely be one of the last options in the bullpen, but the relief corps is unsettled, especially for right-handed relievers, so there's an opportunity for Kent to work his way into high-leverage situations.

The Angels placed Stephenson (elbow) on the 60-day injured list Tuesday.

Stephenson had been working his way back from a nerve issue and thoracic outlet syndrome symptoms during camp, but he suffered a setback in mid-March and has now been ruled out for at least the first two months of the regular season. A timeline for his return may begin to form once he's cleared to resume a throwing program.

The Angels placed Rendon (hip) on the 60-day injured list Tuesday.

After reaching an agreement over the winter with the Angels to restructure the final year of the seven-year, $245 million contract he signed in December 2019, Rendon won't join the Angels for 2026 and will miss a second straight season after undergoing hip surgery prior to the 2025 campaign. However, he will remain on the team's official roster and presumably spend the entire season on the 60-day IL. Once he becomes a free agent following the season, Rendon is expected to formally retire from professional baseball.

Laweryson will make the Opening Day roster in the bullpen barring any last-minute trades, the Minnesota Star Tribune reports. He had a 1.17 ERA and 7:1 K:BB in 7.2 innings this spring.

Laweryson was claimed off waivers by the Angels from the Twins in November, but he was later released and re-signed with Minnesota. He's likely the last man in the bullpen, but roles in the Twins relief corps remain in flux, so he could find his way into higher-leverage situations if he pitches well.

The Orioles designated Ramos for assignment Tuesday.

Ramos slashed .316/.381/.474 with a homer, three RBI and four runs scored across 42 plate appearances in the Grapefruit League, but his attempt at making Baltimore's Opening Day roster was still unsuccessful. The 24-year-old doesn't have minor-league options remaining, so he'll also have to forfeit his place on the 40-man roster.

Paez will be included on the White Sox's Opening Day roster, Ari Alexander of 7 News Boston reports.

Paez joined the White Sox via the Rule 5 Draft, and although he posted a 6.35 ERA in the Cactus League and has never pitched an inning above High-A, he will break camp with the big club. The 22-year-old right-hander has worked primarily as a starter in the minors but will most likely take on a long-relief role with the South Siders. He will need to remain on the active roster all season or else be offered back to the Red Sox.

The Angels placed Joyce (shoulder) on the 15-day injured list Monday.

Joyce is still on the mend from a shoulder procedure he underwent last May, so the Halos will stash him on the injured list to begin the regular season. The 25-year-old never made an appearance in the Cactus League but has been throwing off a mound, so he may not need much more than a minimum-length IL stint before he returns to the Angels bullpen.
