Richard Fitts SP | STL
Red Sox's Richard Fitts: Impresses in MLB debut
Fitts did not factor into the decision in Sunday's loss to the White Sox, allowing two runs (zero earned) on six hits and one walk while striking out two in 5.2 innings.
Fitts pitched well in his MLB debut, cruising through five scoreless innings before allowing two unearned runs in a rocky sixth inning that included a Triston Casas error. Fitts used just 66 pitches in 5.2 innings, pitching to contact against an inept White Sox offense. Fitts struck out only two batters Sunday, but he has shown adequate strikeout potential in the minor leagues -- in 24 starts for AAA-Worcester this season, Fitts compiled a 4.17 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 111:37 K:BB in 116.2 innings. If Fitts sticks around in the rotation, he will face a much stiffer test next weekend against the Yankees.

Luke Raley RF | SEA
Mariners' Luke Raley: Doubles twice in win
Raley went 2-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, two runs scored and a walk in Sunday's win against St. Louis.
Raley got started early with a two-run double and a run scored in the first inning. He later doubled and scored again in the ninth. He's smacked four doubles over his last four games and has produced six multi-hit performances in his last 19 appearances. During that stretch, Raley has gone 16-for-54 (.296) with nine extra-base hits. He owns a .763 OPS with 49 RBI through 399 plate appearances this season.

Chris Flexen RP | CHC
White Sox's Chris Flexen: Notches quality start
Flexen did not factor into the decision in Sunday's win over the Red Sox, allowing two earned runs on six hits and one walk while striking out six in six innings.
The only runs allowed by Flexen came on a pair of solo home runs -- a second-inning blast by Connor Wong and a Wilyer Abreu long ball in the sixth. Flexen has now recorded a quality start in three of his last four appearances, logging a respectable 4.15 ERA, 1.62 WHIP and 20:7 K:BB in 21.2 innings during that stretch. Even with the recent uptick in performance, the 30-year-old is well off the fantasy radar. He's tentatively scheduled to take on the Athletics next weekend.

Randy Arozarena LF | SEA
Mariners' Randy Arozarena: Knocks 19th home run
Arozarena went 2-for-5 with a two-run homer and two runs scored in Sunday's win over the Cardinals.
Arozarena singled and scored a run in the first inning before ripping a two-run shot in the second. After going deep just once in his first 25 games as a Mariner, he's belted three home runs over his last 12 contests. During that stretch, he's gone 14-for-47 (.298) with nine RBI. For the year, Arozarena is slashing .221/.332/.396 with 47 extra-base hits and 71 runs scored through 137 games.

Duke Ellis RF | NYY
Yankees' Duke Ellis: Optioned to Triple-A
Ellis was optioned to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre following Sunday's 2-1 loss to the Cubs.
Ellis was called up last Sunday, securing a hit in his only at-bat while with the team before being sent down. The outfielder's departure from the major-league roster opens a spot for Jon Berti (calf), who's set to return from the 60-day injured list.

Jonny DeLuca RF | TB
Rays' Jonny DeLuca: Slugs decisive homer
DeLuca went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in Sunday's 2-0 win over Baltimore.
DeLuca launched his sixth home run of the season off Corbin Burnes in the sixth inning, the only runs scored in the 2-0 victory. The 26-year-old DeLuca has now started nine of the past 10 games for Tampa Bay, batting .361 with four extra-base hits, three stolen bases and eight runs scored in 38 plate appearances. On the year, the speedy outfielder owns a disappointing .623 OPS with 27 runs scored, 30 RBI and 16 stolen bases in 93 games.

Edwin Uceta RP | TB
Rays' Edwin Uceta: Dominant in five-out save
Uceta notched his second save of the season Sunday against Baltimore, allowing one hit and one walk while striking out four in 1.2 innings.
Called upon to preserve a 2-0 lead with two runners on and one out in the eighth, Uceta promptly struck out the next two batters to escape the jam. Uceta then worked around a single and a walk in the ninth to pick up his second save of the season. Save opportunities have been few and far between, but Uceta has been dominant since Pete Fairbanks (lat) landed on the injured list on Aug. 19, throwing 7.1 scoreless innings with a sparkling 15:2 K:BB during that stretch. The 26-year-old Uceta hasn't allowed a run since July 31 and owns an impressive 0.75 ERA, 0.69 WHIP and 50:6 K:BB in 36 innings this season.

Corbin Burnes SP | ARI
Orioles' Corbin Burnes: Tough-luck loser in quality start
Burnes (13-8) took the loss Sunday against the Rays, allowing two earned runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out three in six innings.
Burnes scattered five singles throughout the first five frames, holding the Rays scoreless until Jonny DeLuca launched a two-run home run in the sixth, which turned out to be the only runs scored in the low-scoring affair. It wasn't Burnes' most dominant outing, but he managed to notch his 20th quality start of the season and his first since Aug. 10. On the season, the 29-year-old sports a 3.18 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 157:43 K:BB in 175 innings (29 starts). He will look to get back in the win column his next time out, scheduled for next weekend in Detroit.

Alimber Santa RP | HOU
Astros' Alimber Santa: Injured at Double-A
Double-A Corpus Christi placed Santa on its 7-day injured list Aug. 30 with an unspecified injury.
The 21-year-old righty made 14 starts for Single-A Fayetteville in 2023, but he's made the full-time move to the bullpen in 2024. Before landing on Corpus Christi's IL, Santa had produced an 8.69 ERA, 2.14 WHIP and 16:16 K:BB in 19.2 innings for the Double-A club.

Zack Littell RP | ARI
Rays' Zack Littell: Five shutout innings in win
Littell (6-9) threw five scoreless innings to pick up the win Sunday against Baltimore, allowing three hits and one walk while striking out four.
Littell was sharp, limiting a potent Orioles offense to just three singles to earn his first win since Aug. 3. The 28-year-old has been excellent over his past six starts, allowing one or fewer runs in five of those outings, pitching to a 1.99 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 18:10 K:BB in 31.2 innings. Littell doesn't offer gaudy strikeout totals, but his superb command has allowed him to maintain consistency. On the year, the right-hander owns a 3.89 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 122:31 K:BB in 138.2 innings (26 starts). He will look to stay hot in his next start, currently scheduled for next weekend in Cleveland.
