Lucas will start Tuesday's game against the Red Sox, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Lucas was initially slotted in to start Monday's series opener against the Red Sox, but it'll be Jose Berrios who toes the rubber Monday, pushing Lucas to Tuesday. The 28-year-old performed well in his first outing of the 2025 season Wednesday against Washington, hurling five scoreless frames while striking out three on 74 pitches in the win.

Wong left Monday's game against the Blue Jays due to a bruised left hand, Ian Browne of MLB.com reports.

Wong appeared to suffer the injury on a catcher's interference call and left the game shortly after. He's presumably headed for further testing and can be considered day-to-day until the team provides another update on his availability moving forward. Carlos Narvaez replaced Wong behind the dish and would be in line for more chances if Wong is forced to miss additional time.

Polanco (side) will start at designated hitter and bat second in Monday's game versus the Astros, Adam Jude of The Seattle Times reports.

Polanco missed the previous two contests with side soreness that was originally reported as knee soreness but is feeling well enough to give it a go in the series opener against the division rival Astros. The switch hitter sports a scorching .450/.476/.750 batting line with two home runs in the early going this season.

The Orioles transferred Suarez (shoulder) from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Monday, Matt Weyrich of The Baltimore Sun reports.

Suarez was placed on the 15-day IL in late March with what the team had referred to as shoulder inflammation. However, the Orioles are now labeling his injury as a right subscapularis strain, and Suarez's absence will be much longer than initially anticipated, likely costing him months, per Jake Rill of MLB.com. Baltimore acquired left-hander Grant Wolfram via trade Monday and shifted Suarez to the 60-day IL to clear a spot on the 40-man roster.

The Orioles acquired Wolfram from the Brewers on Monday in exchange for outfielder Daz Cameron and cash considerations, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

Milwaukee designated Wolfram for assignment earlier Monday, but the left-hander will regain a 40-man roster spot as he moves on to a new organization. Wolfrman has yet to make his MB debut and will begin his time in the Baltimore organization at Triple-A Norfolk. Wolfram appeared in 44 games for Triple-A Round Rock in the Rangers organization last season and finished with a 3.34 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and six saves across 56.2 innings.

The Mariners recalled Canzone from Triple-A Tacoma on Monday.

Canzone will take the spot on the Mariners' 26-man roster vacated by Victor Robles after he was placed on the 10-day injured list due to left shoulder dislocation. Canzone has gone 7-for-13 with four runs scored and two solo home runs over his last three outings with Tacoma, and the 27-year-old will look to carry that momentum into the big leagues. He appeared in 67 games for the Mariners in 2024 and slashed .196/.271/.381 with eight home runs and 17 RBI across 188 plate appearances.

Taylor (lat) will make another rehab appearance with Triple-A Tacoma later this week before being evaluated for a potential return to the Mariners' bullpen, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.

Taylor has already made two appearances with Tacoma, allowing two runs with a 2:0 K:BB over 1.2 innings. If he gets through his next rehab outing without any hiccups he could be ready to rejoin the active roster for the weekend series against the Rangers. Taylor has been working his way back from a right lat strain.

Mariners general manager Justin Hollander clarified Monday that a sore side is what has kept Polanco out of the lineup for the past two games, Shannon Drayer of SeattleSports.com reports.

Manager Dan Wilson had said it was soreness in Polanco's surgically repaired left knee that had sidelined the infielder, but evidently the skipper misspoke. Hollander expects Polanco to be back in the lineup for Monday's contest against the Astros.

Mariners general manager Justin Hollander said Monday that Kirby (shoulder) "felt great" while throwing a bullpen session over the weekend, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.

Kirby is set to throw two more bullpen sessions this week before beginning a game progression. While Hollander wouldn't divulge a timetable for when the right-hander will be ready for his season debut, signs are pointing to it being sometime in May. Kirby was diagnosed with right shoulder inflammation back on March 7 but has made steady progress since then.

Triple-A Norfolk placed Basallo (hamstring) on its 7-day injured list Saturday.

Norfolk deactivated Basallo one day after he was removed from a game due to left hamstring discomfort. The severity of Basallo's injury isn't yet known, but the catching prospect will need at least a week off to move past the issue. Basallo had already been slowed down in spring training after suffering from elbow inflammation, which had resulted in him being limited to designated-hitter duties over his first seven games this season with Norfolk.
