Martinez started in center field and went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI in Saturday's 6-3 win over the Royals.

Martinez started a second straight game in place of the injured Lane Thomas (wrist) and made an impact in both. Following Friday's three-hit performance, Martinez belted a bases-loaded, ground-rule double Saturday that increased Cleveland's lead to 5-1 in the bottom of the eighth inning. With Thomas day-to-day and the Guardians getting a mere .388 OPS (29th) out of their right fielders, there appears to be path to more at-bats for Martinez.

Miranda will head to Triple-A after slashing an abysmal .167/.167/.250 over his 36 plate appearances on the season while offering little value in the field or on the basepaths. The Twins reinstated infielder Brooks Lee (back) from the 10-day injured list in a corresponding move.

Minnesota optioned Jose Miranda to Triple-A St. Paul to open up a spot on the active roster for Lee, who began the season on the shelf while recovering from a lumbar strain. After going 4-for-13 with a walk over four rehab games between Single-A Fort Myers and St. Paul, Lee looks healthy again and could push Edouard Julien for an everyday role in the Minnesota infield. At the very least, the switch-hitting Lee will be an option to replace the left-handed-hitting Julien when the Twins face left-handed pitching.

Baz will no longer start Sunday's game against Atlanta as planned and will instead make his next turn through the rotation Monday versus the Red Sox in Tampa, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

The Rays are in the midst of a busy period in their schedule, so the team has elected to temporarily add a sixth man to the rotation. Joe Boyle was recalled from Triple-A Durham and will take the hill Sunday, and he will either shift to the bullpen or head back to the minors after the game. Baz now lines up for two starts during the upcoming week, with his second turn potentially coming next Saturday at home versus the Yankees.

Sulser's stint with the big club lasted just two days, with the right-hander making his lone appearance in a 5-4 loss to Atlanta on Saturday, when he was the pitcher of record after giving up two earned runs on four hits and one walk over one inning of relief. In a corresponding move, Tampa Bay recalled right-hander Joe Boyle from Triple-A in advance of his start in Sunday's series finale.

The Rays recalled Boyle from Triple-A Durham to start Sunday against Atlanta, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Tampa Bay doesn't have an opening in its rotation, but Boyle will be called upon to take the hill Sunday in order to provide the team's other five starters with an additional day of rest. The right-hander was unable to secure a roster spot with the Rays coming out of spring training, but he'll get a call-up after allowing two earned runs on five hits while striking out 10 over eight innings across his two starts with Durham. However, the control problems that plagued him during his 13 appearances (10 starts) with the Athletics last season once again cropped up at Durham, as Boyle has walked six of the 35 batters he has faced in the minors.

Raleigh went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, a double, a walk and three total runs in Saturday's 9-2 win against the Rangers.

Raleigh homered for the second straight day, blasting a 420-foot solo shot in the fifth inning. The powerful backstop is up to four home runs on the season, tied for second most among MLB catchers. Raleigh is a good bet to finish near the top of the homer rankings among catchers after reaching 30 long balls each of the previous two campaigns.

Rocker (0-2) took the loss against Seattle on Saturday, allowing four runs (three earned) on five hits and two walks while striking out two batters over 3.1 innings.

Rocker began his outing with two scoreless frames, but he was torched for four runs in the third. The right-hander returned for the fourth inning but was pulled after giving up a one-out single. Rocker has struggled in two of his three outings so far this season, resulting in a poor 7.94 ERA and 1.94 WHIP overall. He hasn't been able to miss many bats, tallying just six strikeouts while issuing four walks through 11.1 frames.

Woo (2-0) earned the win over Texas on Saturday, allowing one run on six hits and one walk while striking out seven batters over seven innings.

Woo gave up a run in the first frame, but he put the clamps on the Rangers' offense thereafter and didn't allow another player to cross the plate. The right-hander impressed by racking up 15 whiffs and throwing 61 of an efficient 91 pitches for strikes. Woo has gone at least six innings in all three of his starts this season, and this was his second quality start of the campaign. He's been ace-like to begin 2025 with a 2.84 ERA, 0.95 WHIP and 18:4 K:BB through 19 innings.

Long allowed three runs on two hits and two walks while striking out one over an inning Saturday against the Guardians.

Long has struggled to begin the season, giving up 12 runs (10 earned) with five walks in seven innings. He was a productive reliever for the Royals last season with a 3.16 ERA and 44:17 K:BB in 42.2 regular-season innings, so he may get some time to turn his season around. However, he may be limited to low-leverage situations for a while.
