Abreu batted cleanup and went 0-for-3 with a walk and a run scored in Sunday's 3-1 win over the White Sox.

Abreu, who has batted sixth or seventh early on, was given a promotion to cleanup in place of a slumping Triston Casas. Abreu cooled off after a scorching start and was due for a correction, but he still ranks among the league leaders in on-base percentage (.468) and OPS (1.068).

Torkelson went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 5-1 loss to the Twins.

While Detroit couldn't muster much offense as a team, Torkelson still managed to continue his hot stretch. The 25-year-old went deep for the second straight game against Minnesota, and he has four home runs in his last eight contests overall. Torkelson appears to be putting a down 2024 behind him and could be poised for some big power numbers in 2025.

Casas batted sixth and went 1-for-3 with a walk in Sunday's 3-1 win over the White Sox.

Red Sox manager Alex Cora trotted out a reconfigured batting order Sunday, dropping Casas, who had batted cleanup behind Alex Bregman in all 12 of his starts, to sixth. The hot-hitting Wilyer Abreu was promoted to cleanup. "Willy is swinging the bat well," Cora told Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com. "Triston put some good swings two nights ago but I felt like today was a good day to have this configuration." Casas entered Sunday's contest batting .176 (9-for-51) with a .530 OPS.

Munoz earned the save Sunday against the Rangers after giving up one hit in a scoreless ninth inning. He struck out two.

Munoz gave up a one-out base hit to Josh Smith and followed that up with back-to-back punch outs to seal the deal. Munoz now sits by himself in second with six saves on the year and has yet to allow a run in eight innings while posting a 12:4 K:BB.

Gilbert (1-1) allowed one run on three hits and a walk while striking out seven in five innings in a win over the Rangers on Sunday.

Gilbert had to work hard to get through the first two frames, needing 46 pitches to do so. His one big mistake came in the second inning after allowing a solo home run to Dustin Harris. Gilbert went on to retire 12 of the next 13 hitters following the long ball. He's allowed a home run in three of four starts thus far but also has allowed just 11 hits while punching out 32 batters in in 22.2 innings. Gilbert will look to continue his success in a road start versus Toronto this coming weekend.

Raleigh went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer in Sunday's win over the Rangers.

Raleigh got the Mariners on the board quickly with a two-run blast off Nathan Eovaldi in the first inning. The switch-hitting catcher has now slugged a home run in three straight games and is up to five on the season. The batting average remains low (.220), but Raleigh is tied for second among all catchers with two steals through 16 games after stealing six bases in 153 games last year.

Hendriks (elbow) walked one and struck out one over a scoreless inning for Triple-A Worcester on Sunday.

Hendriks made his second rehab appearance for the WooSox and looked sharp in both. He's allowed one hit and one walk while striking out four over two innings. Red Sox manager Alex Cora told Lauren Campbell of MassLive.com that the organization will assess where Hendriks is at before considering potential next moves.

Eovaldi (1-2) allowed three runs (two earned) on five hits while striking out five in five innings in a loss to the Mariners on Sunday.

Eovaldi got off to a rough start by allowing a two-run homer to Cal Raleigh in the opening frame. From there, he was able to settle in and retire 14 of the next 15 hitters he faced. Eovaldi was sent back out for the sixth but failed to record an out and was eventually replaced by Hoby Milner with the based loaded. Eovaldi has now failed to go more than five innings in consecutive starts. He's also hit four batters and has just seven strikeouts after compiling a 17:0 K:BB in his first two starts of the year. Eovaldi will look to bounce back his next time out when the Dodgers come to town for a weekend series.

Severino (0-3) allowed one run on four hits and three walks while striking out six in 5.2 innings in a loss to the Mets on Sunday.

Severino blanked the Mets through five innings while allowing just two hits. He began the sixth by walking Pete Alonso and was knocked out of the game after an RBI-single by Luis Torrens. Sunday was the first time Severino has not reached six innings in four starts this season, but it was an excellent bounce back performance against his former team after allowing 11 runs (10 earned) in his prior two starts. The 31-year-old owns a 4.01 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 21:10 K:BB in 24.2 innings and lines up for a road start against the Brewers this week.

Hader allowed two hits and struck out one in a scoreless ninth inning Sunday against the Angels.

Hader had a four-run lead, but he hadn't pitched since Tuesday, so he entered the game in a non-save situation. He allowed a pair of singles but still managed to record his fifth straight scoreless appearance. Hader hasn't recorded a save since April 3, but that hasn't been a result of his performance.
