Cousins (elbow) has begun throwing off a mound, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.

Cousins has been nursing a right elbow flexor strain since February, but he recently received the green light to begin throwing bullpen sessions again. Assuming he doesn't experience any setbacks, the plan is for him to graduate to throwing live batting practice in a few weeks before beginning a rehab assignment in the minors. The 30-year-old righty will be eligible for activation from the 60-day IL in late May

Torkelson went 1-for-3 with a walk and a solo home run in Wednesday's 5-1 loss to the Brewers.

As was the case Sunday when the Tigers fell 5-1 to the Twins, Torkelson provided all of the team's offense with a solo shot. The slugger is now up to six home runs through 18 games, and if he keeps up this level of production and stays relatively healthy, Torkelson has a good shot to surpass the career high of 31 long balls he posted back in 2023.

Montero (0-1) allowed five runs on eight hits across five innings to take the loss Wednesday against the Brewers. He walked one and struck out eight.

Montero, who was recalled from Triple-A Toledo earlier Wednesday for the spot start, struggled to keep the ball in the park during his 2025 MLB debut. The righty was tagged for home runs by Christian Yelich, Rhys Hoskins and Sal Frelick. The eight strikeouts were a bright spot for Montero, as he recorded only a 7.0 K/9 during his 2024 rookie season. He could now return to the minors, as the Tigers were simply giving their other starters a bit of extra rest and don't have any injuries in the rotation.

O'Hoppe (illness) is not in the Angels' starting lineup against the Rangers on Wednesday, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

O'Hoppe will be out of the lineup for a second straight game while battling an illness, but he could be available as a pinch hitter during Wednesday's contest. Travis d'Arnaud will work behind home plate and bat fifth against Rangers southpaw Patrick Corbin.

Wilson is not in the Athletics' starting lineup against the White Sox on Wednesday.

Wilson has started the 2025 season strongly, slashing .333/.333/.485 with 11 runs scored, two home runs and eight RBI in 66 plate appearances while starting in every single game. It appears he's just getting the day off Wednesday, with Max Muncy shifting to shortstop and Luis Urias receiving the start at second base against White Sox right-hander Jonathan Cannon.

Misner is not in the Rays' starting lineup against the Red Sox on Wednesday, Ryan Bass of FanDuel Sports Network Sun reports.

With the Red Sox sending southpaw Sean Newcomb to the mound for Wednesday's series finale, Misner will be on the bench to begin the game while Christopher Morel, Jake Mangum and Jose Caballero man the outfield. Misner has reached base safely in each of his last five games, going 7-for-17 with two walks, one stolen base, five runs scored, two home runs and four RBI over that span.

Manager Alex Cora said Wednesday that there's a "chance" Dobbins is recalled from Triple-A Worcester to start Friday against the White Sox, Gabrielle Starr of the Boston Herald reports.

The right-hander made his MLB debut in early April with five innings of two-run ball in a doubleheader against the Cardinals, and his second career start could come this week. Dobbins has given up eight earned runs (including four homers) in his two outings with Worcester this season, but he could still be on the streaming radar Friday with the White Sox ranking 29th in the league with 53 runs scored.

Anderson is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Rangers, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Anderson will give way to Kevin Newman at shortstop after starting at the position in seven of the Halos' previous nine games. Both players will soon see their opportunities in the middle infield dry up, as Zach Neto (shoulder) looks poised to return from the 10-day injured list to make his season debut as soon as Thursday.

Cabrera is not in the Yankees' starting lineup against the Royals on Wednesday.

The switch-hitting Cabrera has gone 4-for-6 with a walk versus southpaws this season, but he has yet to receive a start against a lefty as he is working in a platoon with Oswald Peraza, who is starting Wednesday at the hot corner and batting ninth against Royals left-hander Kris Bubic. Cabrera is slashing .278/.333/.278 with four runs scored and 10 RBI across 39 plate appearances to start the season.

Taylor is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Athletics.

Taylor will take a seat after he had drawn starts in the outfield in each of the last six games, with five coming in left field. Brooks Baldwin will man left field Wednesday, but Taylor could settle in as the primary option at the position while Andrew Benintendi (adductor) is on the injured list.
