Montero remains on the Tigers' active roster following Wednesday's start against the Brewers and is expected to pitch again in 4-to-5 days, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.

It was anticipated that Montero would be sent back down to the minors following what was expected to be a spot start. However, manager A.J. Hinch said "there was a lot we liked" about Montero's start in Milwaukee, and "we're hoping to get another outing of him." Whether that's another start or perhaps an extended relief appearance isn't clear. Montero permitted five runs on eight hits across five innings against the Brewers, but he also walked just one and struck out eight.

Arozarena went 2-for-4 with a home run, a double, three total RBI and an additional run scored in Thursday's 11-7 win over the Reds in 10 innings.

Arozarena proved to be the difference-maker in Seattle's dramatic victory, homering off Emilio Pagan to tie the game 7-7 in the ninth inning before extending the Mariners' lead to 10-7 in the 10th with a two-run, two-out double. Arozarena has gone 5-for-11 with three extra-base hits and three stolen bases in his last three games. He's now slashing .212/.381/.485 with four homers, 14 RBI, eight runs scored and six steals through 84 plate appearances this season.

Adell is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against Texas.

After going just 1-for-13 over his last four games, Adell will grab a seat on the bench Thursday. Kyren Paris will cover for him in center field, moving Luis Rengifo to second base while J.D. Davis starts at the hot corner.

O'Hoppe (illness) will start at catcher and bat fifth Thursday against the Rangers.

O'Hoppe missed two games while fighting off an illness, but he seems to be fully healthy entering Thursday's contest. The 25-year-old has been scorching out of the gate with a .327/.340/.653 slash line and five homers through his first 50 plate appearances.

Hancock (0-1) did not factor into the decision Thursday against the Reds, allowing two runs on five hits over five innings. He struck out four.

Hancock got off to a rocky start, surrendering a two-run homer to Austin Hays in the first inning. However, the right-hander would settle in and blank Cincinnati over his final four frames, giving up just three more hits. It's certainly an encouraging effort from Hancock, who was sent down to Triple-A after allowing six runs in just two-thirds of an inning in his first start this year. Hancock should get another chance to stick in Seattle's rotation -- he currently lines up for a road matchup with the Red Sox next week.

Langford (oblique) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Round Rock on Thursday, Shawn McFarland of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Langford will play with Round Rock on Thursday and Friday and, barring a setback, will be activated from the 10-day injured list this weekend, likely on Saturday when he's first eligible. The young outfielder has been shelved since earlier April due to a right oblique strain.

Wells is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Rays.

The Yankees will give Wells a chance to regroup after the 25-year-old managed just one hit -- a solo home run -- in 11 at-bats during New York's previous series against Kansas City. J.C. Escarra will fill in behind the plate Thursday and bat seventh.

Rodriguez (elbow) was scratched from a scheduled bullpen session Thursday and sent for imaging due to right shoulder soreness, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.

The injury is separate from the elbow/triceps issue that's kept Rodriguez out all season. It's an especially worrisome setback given that the right-hander missed nearly the final two months of last season with a right lat strain. The Orioles should be able to provide more information on Rodriguez's status after the MRI results come back, but certainly he's not going to be rejoining the big-league rotation anytime soon.

Smith (thumb) is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Angels.

Thursday will mark the third straight game Smith has missed while he continues to nurse a bruised thumb. Dustin Harris will pick up another start in left field as a result, and the Rangers may consider placing Smith on the IL if he's unable to return to action soon.

Heim isn't in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Angels.

After going just 2-for-14 with a run scored and five strikeouts over his last four games, Heim will give way behind the plate to Kyle Higashioka on Thursday.
