Kurtz went 1-for-4 with an RBI single in Wednesday's win over Texas.

Making his major-league debut, Kurtz delivered a two-out RBI single to drive in the third run of the Athletics' four-run first frame. The 2024 No. 4 overall pick has a fairly clear pathway to reps at first base in the majors, as Tyler Soderstrom moved to left field to accommodate for the arrival of Kurtz on Wednesday. Kurtz slashed .321/.385/.655 with seven home runs, seven doubles and 24 RBI over 97 plate appearances with Triple-A Las Vegas this year, and his power profile makes him an intriguing add in most mixed fantasy leagues for teams needing some pop.

Langeliers went 4-for-4 with a double, an RBI and a run scored in Wednesday's win over Texas.

It was the third career four-hit game and the first of 2025 for the hard-hitting backstop, who's enjoying a productive month at the plate in April. Through 66 at-bats this month, Langeliers is hitting .273 with four home runs, four doubles and nine RBI. He's also added 11 runs and a stolen base during this span, and Langeliers should continue to serve as a key cog in the Athletics' lineup.

Miller collected the save in Wednesday's win over the Rangers after allowing one hit in a scoreless ninth inning, striking out three.

The hard-throwing right-hander overwhelmed the first two batters he faced, retiring them on just seven pitches, but a slumping Joc Pederson did tag him for a double Wednesday. Miller has still been spectacular to open the season, producing a 0.62 WHIP and 17:1 K:BB across eight scoreless frames. Miller has also gone a perfect 7-for-7 on save opportunities, giving him a strong grip on the closer's role for the Athletics.

Rocker (1-3) took the loss against the Athletics on Wednesday after allowing five runs on seven hits and one walk in 1.2 innings. He struck out two.

Fresh off establishing a career-high mark in strikeouts during his last start, Rocker was ambushed Wednesday in the shortest appearance of his career in terms of innings pitched. Although he threw 42 of his 63 pitches for strikes and managed to induce six whiffs in an abbreviated outing, the hard-throwing right-hander struggled mightily with his command while giving up three extra-base hits. Rocker will get another chance to face these same Athletics in his next scheduled start, this time in a more favorable setting at home and away from hitter-friendly Sutter Health Park. Overall though, he's shaping up as a risky fantasy option while holding an 8.10 ERA, 1.75 WHIP and 16:5 K:BB over 20 innings (five starts) so far.

Sears (3-2) grabbed the win against the Rangers on Wednesday after allowing two runs on five hits and one walk in five innings. He struck out five.

Staked to an early 5-0 lead, Sears hurled five solid innings but did struggle a bit with hard contact. The left-hander allowed a pair of doubles Wednesday and a solo home run to Wyatt Langford in the fourth frame, throwing a season-low 86 pitches as well. Sears still hasn't given up greater than three runs in any of his first five starts of 2025, and he'll carry 3.21 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 23:6 K:BB over 28 innings into his next scheduled outing against these same Rangers, this time in Texas.

McCullers (forearm) will make a rehab start with Double-A Corpus Christi on Saturday, MLB.com reports.

McCullers was scratched from a scheduled rehab outing last week due to a stomach bug, but he's since thrown a 33-pitch bullpen session. He was able to work four innings in a rehab outing April 12, so he is nearing a traditional starter's workload and potential activation from the injured list.

McCormick went 1-for-2 Wednesday against the Blue Jays.

McCormick appeared to be splitting with Jake Meyers in center field to begin the season, but his role has faded significantly of late. He was in the lineup for just the sixth time this season Wednesday, and he was removed for a pinch hitter in the sixth frame.

Wilson came away with the no-decision in the White Sox's 6-3 loss to the Twins on Wednesday. He allowed one run on five hits and three walks while striking out two in 2.2 innings.

The right-hander made his first start of the season Wednesday with Martin Perez (elbow) going on the 60-day injured list earlier in the week. Wilson wasn't able to make it out of the third inning, tossing 55 pitches (30 strikes) before being lifted for Brandon Eisert. Wilson started the season in the bullpen, but he could be used in the rotation unless the White Sox make a move to add a starter via the minor leagues or trade. If he sticks in the rotation, Wilson is tentatively slated to start next week at home against the Brewers.

Coulombe earned the save in Wednesday's 6-3 win over the White Sox, striking out one batter without allowing a walk or hit in a scoreless ninth inning.

Usual closer Jhoan Duran needed 32 pitches to collect the save Tuesday, so Coulombe got the call for the ninth inning of Wednesday's game to preserve a three-run lead. Coulombe needed just 12 pitches (seven strikes) to get through the frame, highlighted by a six-pitch strikeout of Bobby Dalbec. Coulombe hasn't allowed a run over his first 11 outings of the season and has an 0.41 WHIP and 6:1 K:BB across 9.2 innings.

Festa did not factor into the decision in Wednesday's win over the White Sox. He allowed two runs on four hits and three walks while striking out five across four-plus innings.

Festa was able to get through the first four innings with relative ease, but he was pulled in the fifth frame after putting the first two batters on base, both of which came around to score. He tossed 80 pitches (52 strikes) with 13 first-pitch strikes, and he has steadily increased his pitch count in his three starts since being recalled from Triple-A St. Paul on April 11. Festa will likely return the minors as Pablo Lopez (hamstring) is set to return during the Twins' weekend series against the Angels.
