Arozarena is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Marlins.

Arozarena started in left field for Seattle's first 25 games of the season, but he'll take a seat Friday after going 4-for-21 with 11 strikeouts in the past five contests. Miles Mastrobuoni will replace him in left field for the series opener versus Miami.

Rodgers is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Royals, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.

It's the second straight game on the bench for Rodgers, who has gone 3-for-21 while striking out nine times in his past eight contests. Jose Altuve will come in to play second base while Zach Dezenzo picks up a start in left field.

Diaz is not in the lineup for Friday's contest in Kansas City, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Diaz caught all three games of the Astros' previous series against the Blue Jays, so he'll get a breather Friday. Victor Caratini is behind the dish and batting seventh for Houston.

Perez is not in the lineup for Friday's contest versus the Astros.

It's the first day off this season for Perez, who played both legs of a doubleheader Thursday (one at catcher, one at designated hitter). Freddy Fermin will catch and bat eighth for the Royals in Friday's series opener.

Paris is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Twins, Erica Weston of Bally Sports West reports.

Paris is hitless with 12 strikeouts in his past seven games and will get a day to regroup Friday. The 23-year-old still has an .874 OPS for the season since he clubbed five homers in his first 12 contests, but his offensive performance has fallen off drastically over the past couple weeks. Tim Anderson is starting at the keystone and batting ninth in Friday's series opener.

Cousins (elbow) is targeting a return in early-to-mid June, Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports.

Cousins will throw another bullpen session Friday and is about two weeks away from facing hitters. He'll need a rehab assignment at some point after that. The reliever is recovering from a right elbow flexor strain.

The Royals optioned Sisk to Triple-A Omaha on Friday.

The left-hander was called up from Omaha on April 13 and made his first two MLB appearances while up with the Royals, striking out five with two hits and two walks across 2.1 scoreless innings. Sisk had a 1.56 ERA in 59 outings for Omaha last season and is likely to receive another look with the Royals at some point this year.

Roden is absent from the lineup for Friday's game against the Yankees.

It's a routine day off for Roden, who had started the previous three contests and eight of the last nine. Nathan Lukes is in left field and batting ninth for the Blue Jays in Friday's series opener.

Basallo (hamstring/elbow) is starting at designated hitter Friday for Triple-A Norfolk.

As expected, Basallo is back off the injured list as the DH, with the expectation he will be ready to get back behind the plate in May. He had a .250/.318/.550 slash line with two home runs and four strikeouts in seven games before landing on the IL.

The Royals optioned Bowlan to Triple-A Omaha on Thursday.

Bowlan was up as the 27th man for Thursday's doubleheader against the Rockies but didn't make an appearance. He's permitted four runs with a 12:5 K:BB over 12 innings at Omaha this season.
