Langford is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Giants.

The 23-year-old started the past six games after recovering from an oblique injury, and he'll receive a day off after going 12-for-23 with three doubles and two homers during that span. Dustin Harris will pick up a start in left field and bat eighth in Sunday's series finale.

Tellez (hand) is starting at first base and batting sixth Sunday against the Marlins.

The 30-year-old exited Saturday's contest after being hit by a pitch on the left hand, but he's back in the lineup Sunday after X-rays came back negative. Tellez has found his power stroke over the past couple weeks and has a .316/.435/.842 slash line with three homers in his past nine games.

The Astros activated Ort (oblique) from the 15-day injured list Sunday, Julia Morales of AT&T SportsNet Southwest reports.

The right-hander will take the roster spot of Forrest Whitley, who was placed on the IL due to a knee sprain. Ort has been sidelined since the start of spring training but is ready to join the Astros after allowing two earned runs with a 5:5 K:BB in seven minor-league rehab appearances.

Whitley was placed on the 15-day injured list Sunday due to a left knee sprain, Julia Morales of AT&T SportsNet Southwest reports.

The right-hander was activated from the injured list last weekend after missing the first few weeks of the season with a bone bruise in the same knee, but he felt something was off while playing catch Saturday and is now back on the shelf after making just one appearance. A return timeline could come into focus Monday once Whitley is further evaluated.

The Royals placed Tolbert (personal) on the bereavement list Sunday.

Tolbert has primarily operated as a pinch runner this year and has recorded six stolen bases, but he'll step away from the team for a few days. Nick Loftin was called up from Triple-A Omaha to take his place on the big-league roster.

The 26-year-old missed out on the Opening Day roster despite posting a 1.052 OPS during spring training, but he'll join the Royals a month into the season. Loftin had a .189/.282/.236 slash line in 171 plate appearances in the big leagues last year, but he's been hitting well for Omaha this season with a .938 OPS. It could be a short stay in the majors since the corresponding transaction was Tyler Tolbert being placed on the bereavement list.

Leiter (finger) was reinstated from the 15-day injured list to start Sunday's game at San Francisco.

The right-hander has been sidelined since early April due to a blister on his right middle finger, but he's ready to rejoin Texas' rotation after covering 4.2 scoreless frames in a rehab outing with Triple-A Round Rock. Prior to the injury, Leiter was dominant in his first two starts of the campaign with one earned run allowed and a 10:1 K:BB across 10 innings.

The Mariners selected Evans' contract from Triple-A Tacoma ahead of his start against the Marlins on Sunday.

The 23-year-old gets a favorable matchup for his big-league debut after posting a 3.86 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 23:4 K:BB in his first five starts of the year at Triple-A. Logan Gilbert sustained an elbow strain Friday and joined George Kirby (shoulder) on the injured list, so Evans should get multiple turns through the rotation if he has a decent showing in his debut.

Meyers is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Royals, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Meyers is hitless with 10 strikeouts in his past 14 at-bats and will sit Sunday after starting the first two games of the series. Chas McCormick is receiving the start in center field and batting ninth for the finale.

Renfroe is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Astros.

Renfroe started the first two games of the series and will head to the bench Sunday after going 1-for-5 with an RBI, which gives him a .450 OPS through 68 plate appearances this year. Cavan Biggio will replace him in the lineup at designated hitter while Drew Waters shifts to right field.
