Pasquantino fell a triple short of the cycle Sunday, highlighted by a solo homer in the seventh inning. The first baseman has been heating up over his past 10 games, slugging four home runs with eight RBI and seven runs scored. While his overall slash line remains underwhelming at .197/.252/.386 across 143 plate appearances, he's provided some pop with six long balls and 22 RBI on the year.

The 33-year-old will carry a 4.23 ERA, 1.41 WHIP and 33:14 K:BB across 38.1 innings into a home matchup with the Red Sox next weekend.

Gusto recorded two outs and allowed three unearned runs on two hits and two walks in his relief appearance Sunday in the Astros' 5-4 loss to the White Sox in seven innings.

With the Astros bringing back Lance McCullers (forearm) from the injured list to start Sunday, Gusto shifted to the bullpen after starting in each of his last four appearances. Prior to the game, manager Joe Espada suggested that Gusto's move to a relief role would likely be temporary, as the Astros plan to deploy a six-man rotation once they begin a stretch of 17 games in a row beginning next Friday, per Chandler Rome of The Athletic. Gusto could be available out of the bullpen for a few more games, but he'll likely be back in the rotation by the middle of the month after submitting a 3.79 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 20:4 K:BB in 19 innings over his first four starts.

Robert went 2-for-3 with two steals, one RBI and a walk in Sunday's rain-shortened 5-4 victory over the Astros.

The White Sox center fielder overtook Oneil Cruz for the MLB lead in stolen bases in this contest, upping his season total to 15. Robert pilfered second base in the opening frame before adding another steal in the sixth inning. The 27-year-old has been running wild over his last eight games, going 8-for-9 on the basepaths while hitting .345 (10-for-29). Through 136 total plate appearances, Robert is slashing .195/.313/.354 with five homers, 19 runs scored, 15 RBI and a 20:43 BB:K.

Taveras was placed on outright waivers by the Rangers on Sunday, Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports.

Taveras has produced a .241 average with one home run, eight RBI, seven runs scored and six stolen bases over 79 at-bats with Texas this season. If he gets claimed off waivers by another team, that team will assume the balance of the outfielder's $4.75 million contract this season. Taveras can continue playing for the Rangers until a claim happens.

Holliday went 3-for-4 with two solo home runs in Sunday's 11-6 loss to the Royals.

Holliday tied the game with a solo shot in the second inning and later knotted things up again with a 422-foot blast in the fourth. The 21-year-old has hit safely in eight of his last 10 contests and is currently riding a five-game hit streak. While his tendency to sit against lefties limits his ceiling for now, he's slashing a solid .273/.340/.443 with four homers, 11 RBI, 11 runs scored and two steals across 97 plate appearances.

Wilson took a no-decision in Sunday's rain-shortened 5-4 win over Houston, allowing four runs on nine hits and two walks over 4.2 innings. He struck out four.

The Chicago right-hander struggled in this 89-pitch performance, conceding a season-worst nine hits (eight singles and one homer). Through 22.2 innings, Wilson sports a 5.56 ERA, 1.90 WHIP and 15:11 K:BB. The 27-year-old should continue to garner turns in the rotation either as a starter or an opener while Martin Perez (elbow) is slated for an extended absence until September. Wilson currently lines up to make his next appearance at home against Miami next weekend.

The Yankees promoted Lombard from High-A Hudson Valley to Double-A Somerset on Sunday, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.

Lombard earned the bump up to Double-A after slashing .329/.495/.488 with one home run, 11 stolen bases and a 21.9 percent walk rate over 111 plate appearances for Hudson Valley. The 19-year-old shortstop is considered to be among the top prospects in the Yankees organization, with his advanced plate approach being his most appealing trait.
