The Mariners acquired Jones, right-hander Seranthony Dominguez and catcher Boston Smith from the White Sox on Saturday in exchange for right-hander Luis Castillo, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.

Jones will be on the move for the second time in less than two months after the White Sox acquired him in a trade with the Guardians on June 11. Between those two organizations, Jones has spent the entire 2026 season at Triple-A, where he has an .807 OPS with 14 home runs and 11 steals across 382 plate appearances. The 28-year-old outfielder will likely report to Triple-A Tacoma.

The Mariners acquired Dominguez, outfielder Nolan Jones and catcher Boston Smith from the White Sox on Saturday in exchange for right-hander Luis Castillo, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.

Dominguez opened the season as the closer for the White Sox but lost his grip on the job in late June. He'll now head to Seattle, where he'll presumably operate in a middle relief for the Mariners, with Andres Munoz locked in as the closer. Dominguez has a 4.10 ERA, 1.37 WHIP, 12 saves (in 17 chances), four holds and a 45:23 K:BB over 37.1 innings this season.

The White Sox acquired Castillo from the Mariners on Saturday in exchange for right-hander Seranthony Dominguez, outfielder Nolan Jones and catcher Boston Smith, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.

The 31-year-old righty will head to Chicago and bolster a rotation that's received excellent results from Davis Martin and Sean Burke but uneven production from Anthony Kay, Noah Schultz and Erick Fedde at the other three spots. While the three-time All-Star easily becomes the White Sox's most battle-tested starter, Castillo has endured a career-worst 2026 campaign. After submitting a 3.54 ERA and 1.18 WHIP in 32 starts for Seattle a season ago, Castillo turned in a 5.06 ERA and 1.39 WHIP in 20 appearances (17 starts) in 2026 prior to being dealt. Castillo showed signs of righting the ship in May and June, but he went 0-3 with a 5.48 ERA and 1.52 WHIP while serving up seven home runs in 23 innings over four July outings. He last pitched Tuesday, so Castillo could be ready to make his White Sox debut during the team's series in Boston early next week.

Munoz (4-4) picked up the win Saturday in a 4-3 victory over the Twins, giving up a hit and striking out two in a scoreless ninth inning.

The closer worked a clean ninth inning in a 3-3 tie and was rewarded for his efforts when Seattle walked it off in the bottom of the frame. It was Munoz's first win since April 22, but he's been plenty effective of late. Over nine appearances and nine innings since the beginning of July, Munoz has produced a 1.00 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 14:3 K:BB while converting all four of his save chances.

Arozarena went 2-for-4 with a walk, a double, a solo home run and two additional runs scored in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Twins.

The 31-year-old outfielder crossed the plate in the first inning after a walk, took Connor Prielipp deep in the second to give the Mariners a 3-0 lead, then dashed home with the winning run in the ninth on a Cal Raleigh groundout. Arozarena has gone yard three times in the last seven games, giving him 14 homers on the year, and since the beginning of July he's batting .283 (26-for-92) with six home runs, one steal, 12 RBI and 20 runs in 25 contests.

Gilbert didn't factor into the decision in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Twins, giving up three runs on six hits and a walk over seven innings. He struck out six.

Solo homers by Luke Keaschall in the fifth inning and Trevor Larnach in the sixth helped cost Gilbert his ninth win of the season, as he squandered an early 3-0 lead and had to settle for his 11th quality start. It's the first time he's served up multiple long balls in a start since June 2, but the right-hander has been tagged with at least three earned runs in five of his last six trips to the mound, leaving him with a 3.86 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and 39:6 K:BB over 39.2 innings during that span. Gilbert will look to get back in the win column in his next outing, which lines up to come at home next weekend against the Rays.

Prielipp didn't factor into the decision in Saturday's 4-3 loss to the Mariners, giving up three runs on four hits and four walks over 5.1 innings. He struck out five.

The rookie left-hander tossed 58 of 88 pitches for strikes in a shaky performance and found himself in a 3-0 hole after two innings, but Prielipp avoided his sixth loss of the season when his offense rallied to tie it up once he's hit the showers. Despite missing time in June due to a blister problem, Prielipp has given up three earned runs or fewer in five straight outings dating back to June 19, posting a 3.86 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 30:10 K:BB over 28 innings during that stretch. He'll look to tighten things up in his next start, which is scheduled to come on the road next weekend in Milwaukee.

Gausman (5-10) picked up the win Saturday, allowing one run on nine hits and one walk over 5.2 innings in a 5-1 victory over the Cardinals. He struck out four.

In what could be his final start as a Blue Jay, Gausman blanked the Cards for five frames before running out of steam in the sixth and falling just short of his 12th quality start of the season. It was the veteran righty's best performance since June 30, after he'd stumbled to a 6.10 ERA in 20.2 innings over four outings in July. He also secured his first win since May 22. If he remains with Toronto past the trade deadline, Gausman is set to take the mound on the road next week against the Cubs.

Baker secured the save Saturday against the White Sox, throwing a clean ninth inning. He struck out one.

Baker made things look easy Saturday, landing each of his six pitches for strikes to dispatch the White Sox bats. The All-Star closer extended his scoreless streak to 12 innings as well, and he's given up just two runs in 26 appearances while recording 20 saves since his last blown chance May 13 in Toronto. Through 43.1 frames, Baker boasts a 1.45 ERA, 0.85 WHIP and 46:15 K:BB with an MLB-high 31 saves in 34 chances.

Rasmussen (10-5) earned the win Saturday against the White Sox, allowing no runs on four hits and one walk in six innings. He struck out 10.

Rasmussen had the White Sox bats out of sorts Saturday, generating an impressive 18 whiffs en route to registering his second-most punchouts of 2026. The right-hander coughed up 11 runs over his first two outings of July but has since steadied the ship, giving up just a pair of runs across his last three appearances (18 innings) while producing a 14:3 K:BB during that span. Rasmussen will bring a stellar 2.91 ERA, 0.93 WHIP and 122:20 K:BB over 117.1 frames into his next scheduled start at pitcher friendly T-Mobile Park in Seattle.
