Bautista (0-1) allowed one run on one hit and two walks in the ninth inning Friday versus Washington and came away with the loss. He did not record a strikeout.

Bautista was brought in for the ninth inning to keep the game tied at 3-3. He was one out shy from escaping the inning after issuing back-to-back walks, but he wasn't able to beat out Nasim Nunez to cover first base, and Bautista's late throw to home plate allowed Jose Tena to score from second. Bautista has given up one earned run in each of his last two outings and is now up to a 2.77 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 15:8 K:BB across 13 innings this season.

Duran went 2-for-3 with a triple, a walk and a stolen base in Friday's 4-2 loss to Atlanta.

Duran legged out his American League-leading fifth triple, tallying his 15th multi-hit game of the year as well. The 28-year-old outfielder has been quite productive despite a lack of power over his last 23 outings (102 at-bats), during which he's batting .284 with six doubles, 12 RBI, 14 runs scored and six stolen bases. As long as he's consistently leading off for the Red Sox, Duran should have plenty of run-scoring upside going forward.

Laureano went 4-for-4 with an RBI double and a run scored in Friday's 4-3 loss to the Nationals.

Laureano reached base safely in all four plate appearances and smacked an RBI double in the third inning, though he crossed home plate only once. His four hits tied a career that he set three previous times, with the last instance taking place with the Athletics in May of 2021. Laureano could see a fair amount of starts in the outfield if Tyler O'Neill (shoulder) is on the shelf for an extended period of time.

Povich did not factor into the decision against the Nationals on Friday, allowing two runs on three hits and two walks while striking out nine across 5.2 innings.

Povich had extra rest entering Friday's game after his original start Tuesday against the Twins was postponed due to rain. The time off appeared to help the 25-year-old southpaw, as he registered a season-high nine strikeouts and was one out shy from logging his third quality start of the season. Povich has a 5.23 ERA, 1.45 WHIP and 38:14 K:BB across 41.1 innings, and he is lined up to face the Brewers on the road next week.

Brieske worked around two hits to pitch a scoreless ninth inning and earn the save in Friday's 5-4 win over Toronto. He did not record a walk or strikeout.

Tommy Kahnle was dispatched in the eighth inning, and rather than bring Will Vest to close things out the Tigers opted to call in Brieske for the ninth inning to protect a one-run lead. Brieske got the first two batters out, and after issuing consecutive singles he closed things out by getting Ernie Clement to ground out. It was Brieske's first save of the season, but he still has a 6.59 ERA and 1.54 WHIP over 13.2 innings.

Francis (2-6) took the loss against the Tigers on Friday, allowing four runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out six across 4.2 innings.

Francis gave up solo home runs to Riley Greene and Zach McKinstry in the second and fourth innings, respectively. Francis has given up a league-worst 14 home runs through nine starts this season and has a 5.63 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 36:13 K:BB across 46.1 innings. He'll look to bounce back in his next start, which is tentatively slated for next week at home against the Padres.

Greene went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a two-run double in Friday's 5-4 win over the Blue Jays.

Greene put the Tigers on the board in the second inning with a solo shot off Bowden Francis, and he extended the Tigers' lead to 4-0 in the fifth on a two-run double. It was Greene's third multi-hit game in his last four outings, and the 24-year-old has reached base safely in 16 straight contests. Over that span, he has slashed .371/.435/.758 with one steal, seven home runs and 17 RBI in 69 plate appearances.

Flaherty (2-5) earned the win against the Blue Jays on Friday, allowing two runs on five hits and one walk while striking out six across 5.2 innings.

Flaherty had a 6.66 ERA and 1.44 WHIP over his last five starts (all losses), but he was much better in Friday's outing. He kept the Blue Jays off the board through the first five innings and struck out the first two batters he faced in the sixth, but he yielded a two-run home run to Daulton Varsho and was one out shy from logging his second quality start of the season. Flaherty will look to make it two wins in a row in his next start, tentatively slated for next week on the road against the Cardinals.

Goldschmidt went 2-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored in Friday's 6-2 win over the Mets.

Goldschmidt got the Yankees on the board in the third inning on an infield RBI single and drove in a second run in the fourth. The veteran first baseman has tallied at least one RBI in five of his last seven games, and over that span he has gone 11-for-28 (.393) with one stolen base, seven runs scored, two home runs and seven RBI. Goldschmidt's .349 batting average is second-best in the majors behind teammate Aaron Judge (.414).

Ragans exited Friday's game against St. Louis due to left groin tightness.

Ragans gave up four runs in five-plus innings before an athletic trainer took him out of the game. The left-hander is tentatively scheduled to make his next start Wednesday in San Francisco, though it's unclear if he'll be able to do so.
