Giolito will not pitch Thursday after Boston's game against Baltimore was postponed due to inclement weather.

The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader Friday. Giolito will start the second of those games, while Brayan Bello will take the ball in the afternoon contest.

Povich and the Orioles won't play the Red Sox as scheduled Thursday, as the game was postponed due to rain.

The two clubs will make up Thursday's contest during a doubleheader Friday, and Povich will start the earlier of the two games, per Jake Rill of MLB.com. The 25-year-old lefty has already faced the Red Sox once this season, giving up three earned runs and punching out eight batters in 4.1 innings during his season debut March 31.

Rangers manager Bruce Bochy said Wednesday that it will be another 7-to-10 days before Seager (hamstring) is activated from the 10-day injured list, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Seager has resumed running and is doing "very well" in his recovery from a right hamstring strain, per Bochy. However, this is his second hamstring-related IL stint this season, his third since 2023 and fourth in his career, so the Rangers want to be cautious with the shortstop. Seager has been sent to be "further evaluated by somebody else," Bochy said, to see if there might be something the team and Seager can do differently with his rehab to prevent future hamstring problems. Seager has been limited to just 26 games this season because of his recurring hamstring issues, but he's been productive when on the field, slashing .300/.346/.520 with six home runs.

Lopez is likely to be called up from Triple-A Las Vegas to start Saturday's game against the Phillies in Sacramento, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

While he has not yet been officially recalled, Lopez already has a locker in the Athletics clubhouse. The left-hander will be sliding into the rotation in place of the injured J.T. Ginn (quadricep). Lopez has made one start and three relief appearances at the big-league level this season, collecting a 3.86 ERA and 9:7 K:BB over seven innings. He could earn additional starts while Ginn recuperates.

Adell went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and a walk Wednesday in a 10-5 win against the Athletics.

Adell entered Wednesday in a prolonged slump at the plate -- over his previous 26 games, he batted .155 with a 4:21 BB:K. The outfielder was able to get going a bit Wednesday, swatting a 416-foot solo homer in the fourth inning for his first long ball in his past 10 contests and later taking a walk. Adell did strike out twice, though, and his K rate on the season is a poor 27.2 percent. He's still getting regular opportunities, starting in four of the Angels' past five contests, but his value in fantasy has been mostly limited to his power -- he's slugged six home runs but has just one stolen base and a .190 batting average over 136 plate appearances.

Lugo is absent from the lineup for Thursday's game versus the Athletics.

After a stretch with five straight starts -- four of them coming in center field -- Lugo has now been on the bench twice in three games. It will be Kyren Paris in center field and batting ninth for the Angels in Thursday's series finale.

Rengifo is not in the lineup for Thursday's contest against the Athletics.

It appears to be a routine day of rest for Rengifo, who had started each of the previous six tilts. Tim Anderson is at second base and batting seventh as the Halos try to run their winning streak to seven games.

Moncada is not in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Athletics.

Moncada has now been absent from the lineup two days in a row, and that's come after he hit a three-run homer Tuesday. The infielder has dealt with a nagging thumb issue, although there's no indication that that's the reason for his exclusion from the Angels' lineup. Kevin Newman is at third base and batting eighth Thursday.

Rocker (shoulder) will begin a rehab assignment with Double-A Frisco on Friday, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Rocker has been sidelined since late April with a right shoulder impingement but has been cleared for rehab games after getting through a live batting practice session earlier this week. He will need multiple rehab starts, assuming the Rangers intend to bring him back as a starting pitcher, but Grant raises the possibility that the club could accelerate Rocker's return by having him pitch in relief.

The Twins are expected to activate Correa from the 7-day concussion injured list Friday, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.

There was no corresponding move announced with Ryan Fitzgerald's demotion to Triple-A St. Paul, pointing to Correa being ready to roll on the first day he's eligible to be activated. He's missed the past week of action after experiencing concussion symptoms as a result of a collision with teammate Byron Buxton, but Correa's symptoms have dissipated and he will skip a rehab assignment and go directly back onto the Twins' active roster.
