The Twins are expected to activate Correa from the 7-day concussion injured list Friday, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.

There was no corresponding move announced with Ryan Fitzgerald's demotion to Triple-A St. Paul, pointing to Correa being ready to roll on the first day he's eligible to be activated. He's missed the past week of action after experiencing concussion symptoms as a result of a collision with teammate Byron Buxton, but Correa's symptoms have dissipated and he will skip a rehab assignment and go directly back onto the Twins' active roster.

The Twins optioned Fitzgerald to Triple-A St. Paul on Thursday, Bobby Nightengale of The Minnesota Star Tribune reports.

The Twins haven't yet announced a corresponding move, which could point to Carlos Correa (concussion) returning from the 7-day injured list when first eligible Friday. Fitzgerald went hitless in three plate appearances this week in his first stint in the big leagues.

Butler is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Angels.

Butler will receive his first day off since May 11, ending a stretch of nine consecutive starts during which he went 8-for-36 (.222 average) with one home run, two stolen bases, seven RBI and four runs. With Butler on the bench, second baseman Max Schuemann will serve as the Athletics' leadoff hitter.

Urias is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Angels.

Max Schuemann will get the nod at the keystone Thursday, but Urias had manned second base in each of the last six games and still appears to be the Athletics' preferred option at the position while Zack Gelof (wrist/rib) remains on the injured list. Since moving into an everyday role in late April, Urias has slashed .272/.358/.457 with five home runs and one stolen base in 28 games.

The Athletics recalled Duran from Triple-A Las Vegas on Thursday.

Duran was with the big club briefly earlier this season but didn't make an appearance. He's collected a 7.71 ERA and 21:15 K:BB over 21 frames with Las Vegas and will be making his major-league debut when/if he gets into a game.

The Athletics optioned Krook to Triple-A Las Vegas on Thursday.

Krook made three appearances during his short time with the big club, yielding two runs over 3.1 innings. Carlos Duran was called up from Triple-A in a corresponding move and will take Krook's spot in the bullpen.

Langeliers is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Angels.

With the Athletics and Angels wrapping up their series with a day game after a night game, Langeliers will get a well-deserved respite. Jhonny Pereda will step in behind the plate in place of Langeliers, who had started each of the Athletics' last 12 games at either catcher or designated hitter.

Dominguez went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a 4-3 win against the Rangers on Wednesday.

Dominguez ended the game with his first career walk-off home run, a solo blast to right field off Rangers closer Luke Jackson. The long ball was Dominguez's first since he blasted three homers against the Athletics on May 9. He's up to six home runs on the campaign along with 22 RBI, 25 runs, four stolen bases and a .778 OPS through 159 plate appearances.

Wilson (forearm) will start at shortstop and bat second in Thursday's game against the Angels.

After getting plunked on the left forearm in Tuesday's 7-5 loss, Wilson sustained nothing more than a bruise, but the Athletics still elected to keep him out of the lineup for Wednesday's 10-5 loss. The rookie infielder looks like he'll be ready to go following a day of rest and will slot back to his usual spot in the two hole. Wilson enters Thursday's contest with a .341 batting average, good for third in the majors among qualified hitters.

The Twins optioned Gasper to Triple-A St. Paul on Thursday.

Gasper was up for one day as the 27th man during Wednesday's doubleheader versus the Guardians, and he did not make an appearance. The utility player has slashed only .176/.282/.206 during his time in the majors this season.
