Hancock (2-2) recorded the win Friday against the Astros after allowing three runs on nine hits and no walks in six innings. He struck out three.

Friday marked Hancock's first win since his third start of the season back in late April, and it was also his fourth qualify start in 2025. The 2020 first-rounder has surrendered six runs or greater on two occasions this year, but he's thrown five innings while conceding two runs or fewer in five other instances among his eight outings. Hancock's next turn in the rotation arrives next week versus the Nationals, and he owns a 5.95 ERA, 1.65 WHIP and 28:12 K:BB over 39.1 innings.

Tonkin (shoulder/biceps) resumed playing catch this week after two cortisone shots for tendinitis in his right biceps, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.

Tonkin started the season on the 15-day injured list due to a right shoulder strain. He was cleared for a rehab assignment in mid-April and made six appearances in the minors, but his throwing program was paused due to right biceps tendinitis. It's encouraging that he's making progress, but he's likely out until the All-Star break or later.

Lopez didn't factor into the decision Friday against the Royals after allowing one run on seven hits and no walks in 5.2 innings. He struck out five.

It was Lopez's sixth consecutive start of at least five innings and his eighth such effort this season. Although the right-hander has fanned more than six just one time this year, he's now thrown at least five frames while giving up two runs or fewer in seven of his nine appearances. Lopez will next carry a steady 2.31 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 54:9 K:BB over 50.2 innings into a favorable matchup against the Rays, who have a weak .635 OPS over their last 25 games.

Tauchman went 1-for-3 with a walk and a run scored in Friday's 4-1 win over Texas.

Tauchman made his return to the White Sox's lineup Friday after being reinstated from the 15-day injured list. The veteran outfielder smacked a single in his first plate appearance in the first inning, and after being walked in the third he came around to score on a Luis Robert RBI single. Tauchman has been limited to four major-league games this season due to a right hamstring strain that resulted in two separate stints on the IL.

Cameron didn't factor into the decision Friday against the Twins after allowing one run on four hits and one walk in 6.2 innings. He struck out eight.

Cameron entered Friday with six punchouts on the season, so he more than doubled that total by fanning eight Friday. The rookie left-hander has been impressive in the major leagues so far, having fired at least six innings while giving up one run or fewer in each of his first three career starts. Cameron will tote a sparkling 0.93 ERA, 0.67 WHIP and 14:6 K:BB through 19.1 innings into his next scheduled outing against the Reds, who have a .623 OPS versus left-handed pitching through their first 51 games.

Wilson earned the save in Friday's 4-1 win over Texas. He issued one walk without allowing a hit and didn't record a strikeout in a scoreless ninth inning.

With Cam Booser and Jordan Leasure dispatched for the seventh and eighth innings, respectively, the White Sox turned to Wilson to close things out in the ninth. Wilson needed 17 pitches (11 strikes) to maneuver through the frame and came away with his first save since 2022 as a member of the Padres. The 30-year-old right-hander has a 1.72 ERA, 0.89 WHIP and 13:8 K:BB across 15.2 innings this season.

Burke (3-5) came away with the win against the Rangers on Friday, allowing one run on three hits and three walks while striking out six across six innings.

Burke faced the minimum number of batters in three of the first five innings of Friday's game. His lone blemish came in the sixth on a Jake Burger RBI double, but Burke came away with the win and quality start after generating 10 whiffs and 19 first-pitch strikes on just 89 pitches (54 strikes). Burke has a 4.33 ERA and 1.46 WHIP across 54 innings this season, but he leads the majors with 30 walks. He's in line to make his next start on the road against the Mets next week.

Manager John Schneider said Friday that he expects Santander (hip) to be back in the starting lineup Saturday, Keegan Matheson of MLB.com reports.

Santander appeared as a pinch hitter during the ninth inning of Friday's game and drew a walk, which supports the idea that he's healthy enough to play. The 30-year-old hasn't started a game since injuring his hip Wednesday and is slashing .216/.286/.353 across 56 plate appearances since the start of May.

Giolito won't pitch Friday, as the second game of Boston's doubleheader against the Orioles has been postponed due to rain.

Originally scheduled to pitch Thursday, Giolito will now presumably look to take the mound during Saturday's doubleheader after having his start rained out on back-to-back days. The 30-year-old righty will be looking to get back on track after posting a 7.08 ERA and 1.52 WHIP in 20.1 innings across his first four starts.

Devers went 4-for-6 with two home runs, three runs scored and eight RBI in the first game of Friday's doubleheader against the Orioles.

The eight RBI were a career high for the 28-year-old, as Devers took Gregory Soto deep for a three-run blast in the sixth inning before punctuating a massive 13-run eighth by the Red Sox with a grand slam off position player Emmanuel Rivera. The huge performance sent Devers soaring into the major-league lead with 47 RBI, three ahead of Aaron Judge, and the Boston slugger sports a .299/.415/.557 slash line through 52 games with 12 homers and 34 runs.
