The Guardians recalled Enright from Triple-A Columbus on Saturday, Tim Stebbins of MLB.com reports.

Cleveland placed Hunter Gaddis (personal) on the bereavement list in a corresponding move, opening up a spot in the bullpen for Enright. The 28-year-old righty turned in a 2.00 ERA, 1.44 WHIP and 7:7 K:BB across nine innings at Triple-A this season.

The Guardians placed Gaddis on the bereavement list Saturday, Tim Stebbins of MLB.com reports.

Gaddis will be required to miss at least three games while he steps away from the team to tend to a personal matter. The 27-year-old is off to a terrific start this season with a 0.86 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 29:8 K:BB across 21 innings. Nic Enright was recalled from Triple-A Columbus in a corresponding move to take Gaddis' spot in the bullpen.

Dingler is not in the Tigers' starting lineup against the Guardians on Saturday.

Jake Rogers will start behind home plate and bat ninth in Saturday's contest. Dingler is in the midst of a seven-game hitting streak, going 11-for-26 (.423) with two RBI over that span.

Vierling is starting in center field and batting seventh against the Guardians on Saturday.

Vierling was activated from the 10-day injured list Friday and pinch hit in the ninth inning. He's fully recovered from a right rotator cuff strain that caused him to begin the season on the 10-day injured list, and he'll make his first start of the 2025 campaign Saturday. Vierling slashed .257/.312/.423 with six steals, 16 home runs and 57 RBI across 567 plate appearances during the 2024 regular season.

The Tigers optioned Baddoo to Triple-A Toledo following Friday's game against the Guardians.

Baddoo was called up to the majors May 14 and appeared in seven games for the Tigers, going 2-for-17 with one steal and an RBI over that span. He'll head back to Triple-A and could receive another promotion should Detroit be in need of depth in the outfield. The move makes room on the 26-man roster for Casey Mize (hamstring), who was reinstated from the 15-day injured list.

Mize landed on the 15-day injured list due to a hamstring strain a couple weeks ago, but the 28-year-old right-hander has been cleared to make his return. Mize went 6-1 across seven starts with a 2.53 ERA, 1.01 WHIP and 35:9 K:BB over 42.2 innings prior to landing on the IL. To make room on the 26-man roster for Mize, the Tigers optioned Akil Baddoo to Triple-A Toledo following Friday's game.

Walls (groin) is not in the Rays' starting lineup against the Blue Jays on Saturday.

Walls will be out of the starting lineup for a third straight game due to groin soreness, though he did enter Friday's game as a pinch runner. Jose Caballero will start at shortstop and bat sixth in Saturday's contest.

The Red Sox are expected to place Bregman (quad) on the 10-day injured list Saturday, Jen McCaffrey of The Athletic reports.

Bregman was removed from Friday's game with right quad tightness while running to first base. That the Red Sox are planning to promote Marcelo Mayer in time for the second game of Saturday's doubleheader against Baltimore indicates Bregman, who was held out of the first game, appears destined for a stint on the injured list. Bregman's loss will be a blow to Boston, as he was hitting .299 with a .938 OPS through 51 games, but it gives the organization a chance to get a look at its top infield prospect.

Mayer is expected to be called up by the Red Sox on Saturday, Gabrielle Starr of the Boston Herald reports.

Mayer was not included in Triple-A Worcester's lineup against Durham on Saturday and was seen getting congratulations from his teammates in the clubhouse, per Katie Morrison-O'Day of MassLive.com. Mayer has spent most of his time at shortstop in Triple-A this season, though he's played 10 games at second base and four at the hot corner, and that infield versatility should give him a chance at regular playing time with Alex Bregman (quadriceps) facing a stint on the injured list. Per the official Red Sox broadcast, Mayer could be available to make his major-league debut in the second game of Saturday's doubleheader against the Orioles. The 22-year-old prospect is slashing .265/.342/.465 with two steals, 31 runs scored, nine home runs and 43 RBI in 193 plate appearances in Triple-A this season.

Gilbert (elbow) completed a simulated game ahead of Friday's game against the Astros, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.

Gilbert, who is recovering from a right elbow flexor strain, threw approximately 35 pitches in addition to 20 warmup pitches. The right-hander's next steps could be another simulated session before then starting a minor-league rehab assignment to further build up, which could include multiple starts. Although it sounds like Gilbert is unlikely to rejoin Seattle's rotation prior to the end of May, he still has a chance to return at some point in early June if all continues to go well in his throwing progression.
