Gilbert (elbow) completed a simulated game ahead of Friday's game against the Astros, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.

Gilbert, who is recovering from a right elbow flexor strain, threw approximately 35 pitches in addition to 20 warmup pitches. The right-hander's next steps could be another simulated session before then starting a minor-league rehab assignment to further build up, which could include multiple starts. Although it sounds like Gilbert is unlikely to rejoin Seattle's rotation prior to the end of May, he still has a chance to return at some point in early June if all continues to go well in his throwing progression.

Garcia is starting in right field and batting eighth against the White Sox on Saturday.

Garcia has operated out of the cleanup spot in the Rangers' order for much of the season, but he will bat eighth for the second straight game. Since the beginning of May, Garcia has slashed .192/.235/.315 with one steal, two home runs, nine RBI and a 25.9 percent strikeout rate across 81 plate appearances. Wyatt Langford, Josh Jung, Jake Burger and Joc Pederson will operate in the heart of the Rangers' lineup for Saturday's contest.

Vivas is not in the Yankees' starting lineup against the Rockies on Saturday.

Vivas will begin Saturday's game on the bench after going 0-for-3 with a strikeout in Friday's 3-2 loss to Colorado. Oswald Peraza will start at the hot corner and bat ninth.

The Orioles placed Laureano on the 10-day injured list Saturday with a left ankle sprain, retroactive to Wednesday.

Laureano suffered the injury while making a sliding attempt at a catch during Tuesday's game against Milwaukee. He was originally expected to miss a minimal amount of time, but he'll now be sidelined for at least another week upon moving to the IL. Terrin Vavra will come up from Triple-A Norfolk to fill the open roster spot and could see time in the outfield until Laureano returns.

The Orioles selected Vavra's contract from Triple-A Norfolk on Saturday.

With Ramon Laureano (ankle) headed for the injured list, the Orioles will bring up Vavra to help replenish their bench depth. The 28-year-old utility man has had a fair amount of success in the minors this season, slashing .317/.388/.450 with seven RBI and 11 runs scored through 70 plate appearances.

Garcia (elbow) threw a bullpen session Saturday, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Saturday appears to be the first time Garcia has done any sort of mound work since he was shut down with elbow inflammation at the start of the season. While getting back to throwing bullpens is a major step forward, he's still likely several weeks away from beginning a rehab assignment.

Quero isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Rangers.

After a strong start to his big-league career, Quero is now just 1-for-16 in his last six games and will take a seat Saturday to regroup. Matt Thaiss will fill start at catcher and bat seventh.

Diaz isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Mariners, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

Diaz will grab a seat on the bench Saturday after going 2-for-7 with two walks and three strikeouts through the first two games of the series. Victor Caratini steps in behind the plate, batting fifth.

Correa isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against Kansas City.

Correa went 2-for-4 with a homer and two runs scored in his return from the injured list Friday, but the Twins will keep him on the bench Saturday to ease him back into action from his concussion. Brooks Lee will get the nod at shortstop and bat third.

Wilson will start Saturday's game against the Rangers, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.

The 27-year-old will be taking the place of Jonathan Cannon, who was scratched from his start due to lower-back tightness. Wilson hasn't pitched in a game since May 15, and he owns a 6.00 ERA and 1.79 WHIP through 33 innings this season.
