O'Neill (shoulder) resumed baseball activities and is expected to begin a rehab assignment soon, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

O'Neill has been shelved since May 16 due to a left shoulder impingement but has been making progress in his recovery. The 30-year-old has begun doing baseball activities and is on track to return in early June, since he shouldn't require a lengthy rehab assignment.

Heim is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Blue Jays.

Heim will yield to Kyle Higashioka behind the dish Wednesday. Heim is 2-for-18 (.111) with eight strikeouts over his last six appearances.

Kjerstad is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Cardinals.

Kjerstad is hitless in his last 11 at-bats and has struck out four times during that stretch. He'll get the night off Wednesday to reset. Dylan Carlson, Cedric Mullins and Ryan O'Hearn will fill the outfield from left to right.

Rave isn't part of the Royals' starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Reds.

Rave started in both of Kansas City's games since being brought up from Triple-A Omaha on Monday, but he'll be on the bench to start Wednesday's contest. Rave went 0-for-6 with a walk and two strikeouts in those two appearances. Dairon Blanco will fill right field Wednesday.

Walker was removed from Wednesday's game against the A's after being hit by a pitch on his right hand, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.

The first baseman initially stayed in the game after being struck by a 96-mph fastball during the fourth inning, but he was replaced by a pinch hitter two frames later. The specifics of the injury remain unclear, and Walker will likely undergo medical imaging to determine the severity of the issue.

Isbel is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Reds.

Isbel started back-to-back games after battling an illness earlier this week, and he'll get the night off Wednesday despite the Reds starting a right-handed pitcher (Hunter Greene). Michael Massey, Drew Waters and Dairon Blanco will fill the outfield from left to right.

The Royals optioned Sisk to Triple-A Omaha on Wednesday.

Sisk appeared in three games out of the Royals' bullpen during his MLB stint, allowing one run with a 6:3 K:BB over three innings. Andrew Hoffmann's contract was selected from Triple-A in a corresponding move.

Mullins (rest) is starting and playing center field for Wednesday's game against the Cardinals, Jacob Calvin Meyer of The Baltimore Sun reports.

The Orioles rested Mullins in back-to-back games to begin the week, but he'll be back in the lineup for Wednesday's series finale against St. Louis. Mullins is slashing .226/.320/.446 in 203 plate appearances this season.

Manager Tony Mansolino said that Rutschman will be in the lineup at designated hitter for Wednesday's game against the Cardinals, Jacob Calvin Meyer of The Baltimore Sun reports.

Rutschman missed back-to-back games after taking a foul tip to the mask Sunday, but the catcher will avoid a stint on the IL and has been cleared to return to the lineup. It's unclear if Rutschman will need multiple games at DH before being put back behind the dish.
