Bieber (elbow) will make a rehab start with Double-A Akron on Thursday, Zack Meisel of The Athletic reports.

The right-hander struck out five over 2.1 scoreless frames during his first rehab outing in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League on Saturday, and he'll continue his rehab assignment at the Double-A level. Now nearly 14 months removed from Tommy John surgery, Bieber will need a handful of starts in the minors before making his 2025 MLB debut for the Guardians.

Ginn (quadriceps) will begin a rehab assignment Thursday with Triple-A Las Vegas, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

The right-hander landed on the shelf May 20 due to a quadriceps strain, but he's been cleared for game action and will pitch in a minor-league game this week. Ginn returned from the injured list May 19 after missing most of the previous month due to an elbow issue, so the A's could look to get him a couple starts in the minors before activating him this time around.

Vest threw a perfect ninth inning to earn the save in Sunday's 1-0 win over the Royals.

Vest needed just nine pitches to secure his second save of the weekend. The right-hander has allowed only two earned runs over his past 10 appearances and has now converted five straight save chances. On the season, he's 9-for-11 in save opportunities with a 1.93 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 29:9 K:BB across 28 innings.

Peraza will start at third base and bat ninth in Sunday's game against the Dodgers.

Peraza will make his seventh start in eight games at third base and appears to have moved ahead of Jorbit Vivas on the depth chart, but both players are likely to see their playing time decrease in the near future. Jazz Chisholm (oblique) has been playing third base during his rehab assignment and is expected to be activated from the injured list Tuesday, at which time he should take over as the Yankees' everyday option at the position. Once Chisholm is back in the fold, Peraza and Vivas will have to vie with DJ LeMahieu for starts at second base.

The Yankees optioned De Los Santos to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Sunday.

The right-hander pitched the first two games of the series versus the Dodgers and will be sent down Sunday in favor of a fresh bullpen arm. De Los Santos has given up just four earned runs across 12 innings with the Yankees this season, but his 1.92 WHIP and 9:6 K:BB provide a less optimistic outlook.

The Yankees selected Carrasco's contract from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Sunday.

Saturday's starter Will Warren lasted just 1.1 frames in a blowout loss to the Dodgers on Saturday, so Carrasco will join the Yankees as a potential long-relief option for Sunday's series finale. The 38-year-old made eight appearances (six starts) for New York before being DFA'd in early May and had a 5.91 ERA, 1.53 WHIP and 25:20 K:BB across 32 innings.

Cousins (forearm/pectoral) is expected to begin a rehab assignment Tuesday, Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports.

Cousins has been on the shelf for the entirety of the 2025 season after suffering a forearm strain in February. The right-hander was on the cusp of returning to action in mid-May, but he sustained a pectoral injury, which slowed his progress. Considering the amount of time Cousins has missed, he'll likely require a handful of appearances on his rehab assignment, and it's currently unclear what level of the Yankees' minor-league system he'll report to.

Vivas is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Dodgers.

Vivas will take a seat for the fifth time in eight games, with two of those absences coming against right-handed pitching. Oswald Peraza appears to have supplanted Vivas as the Yankees' preferred option at third base, and the latter could be at risk of a demotion to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre in the near future with Jazz Chisholm (oblique) close to a return from the injured list.

Bellinger is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Dodgers.

Bellinger had started in each of the Yankees' last seven games, but he went just 6-for-27 (.222 average) during that stretch and now finds himself on the bench Sunday. With Bellinger sitting, the Yankees will roll out a starting outfield of Jasson Dominguez, Trent Grisham and Aaron Judge from left to right.

Manager Mark Kotsay said after Sunday's 8-4 loss to the Blue Jays that Andujar (oblique) is likely to be placed on the injured list, Jessica Kleinschmidt of Baseball America reports.

The 30-year-old was removed during the fifth inning of Sunday's contest due to oblique discomfort, and he's expected to be sidelined for at least the next 10 days. Andujar is scheduled to undergo medical imaging Monday to determine the severity of the injury.
