Mattison (elbow) made the second appearance of his rehab assignment Sunday with High-A West Michigan, striking out a batter and allowing one hit over a scoreless inning of relief.

Mattison has been on Triple-A Toledo's 7-day injured list all season while recovering from March 2024 Tommy John surgery, but he appears to be closing in on his 2025 debut with the Tigers' top minor-league affiliate. After tossing a scoreless inning in his first rehab appearance with Single-A Lakeland on Wednesday, Mattison bumped up a level Sunday. He could make a few more appearances with West Michigan or Double-A Erie before slotting into Toledo's bullpen.

Triple-A Sugar Land placed VanWey on its 7-day injured list Wednesday due to an unspecified injury.

After being optioned to Triple-A on May 11 following a brief stint in the big leagues, VanWey made three appearances out of the Sugar Land bullpen before being shut down with an injury. He's without a clear timeline to return to game action.

Matthews (concussion) has gone 11-for-23 with two home runs, three doubles, four walks, 10 RBI and five runs in six games since being activated from Triple-A Sugar Land's 7-day injured list May 24.

Matthews missed about a week and a half of game action after sustaining the concussion on a slide during a May 13 game. He's exhibited no signs of rust since returning to action and is now maintaining a .272/.401/.450 slash line with six home runs and 16 steals over 43 games on the season with Sugar Land. The 23-year-old infielder doesn't possess a spot on Houston's 40-man roster but nonetheless stands a good chance at making his MLB debut later this season.

Yankees manager Aaron Boone said that Weaver wasn't available out of the bullpen in Sunday's 7-3 win over the Dodgers after experiencing hamstring discomfort while warming up, Erik Boland of Newsday reports.

Weaver was gearing up for a save chance with the Yankees entering the top of the ninth inning up 6-3, but he ultimately never entered the contest after New York expanded its lead to 7-3 before the bottom of the frame. The Yankees went with Tim Hill in the bottom of the ninth to finish out the game. Boone noted that Weaver "felt something" while stretching in the bullpen, prompting the Yankees to err on the side of caution and stay away from him. At this time, the Yankees haven't indicated that Weaver is at risk of landing on the injured list, but he could be subject to further testing before the team provides an update on his status. If Weaver is forced to miss out on any save chances moving forward, former closer Devin Williams would likely be the top candidate to assume the ninth-inning role.

Double-A Corpus Christi placed Nezuh on its 7-day injured list Friday due to an unspecified injury.

A 23-year-old righty, Nezuh compiled a 4.98 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 40:12 K:BB over 34.1 innings in his eight appearances (seven starts) with Corpus Christi before being deactivated.

Double-A Corpus Christi placed Fleury on its 7-day injured list May 18 due to an unspecified injury.

The Astros have yet to provide information on the nature of Fleury's injury, but he's now been sidelined since mid-May and remains without a clear timeline for a return. Before being shut down, Fleury made seven starts for Corpus Christi and delivered a 2.25 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 34:9 K:BB across 32 innings.

Baez has gone 2-for-6 with two doubles and a walk in two games since being assigned to the rookie-level Florida Complex League on Monday.

Though he hasn't been listed on the injured list at any point this season, Baez didn't make his 2025 debut until this past week. He spent the entire 2024 season in full-season ball with High-A Asheville and Double-A Corpus Christi, but he appears set to stockpile at-bats in the FCL before moving back to a higher-level affiliate.

The Royals plan to call up Caglianone from Triple-A Omaha ahead of Tuesday's game in St. Louis, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.

Caglianone will complete his rapid ascent to the big leagues after getting selected with the No. 6 overall pick in the 2024 First-Year Player Draft and beginning the 2025 campaign with Double-A Northwest Arkansas. The 22-year-old combined to slash .322/.389/.593 with 15 home runs and two stolen bases over 50 games between Northwest Arkansas and Omaha. Though he's expected to settle in at first base or designated hitter in the long term, Caglianone's initial big-league playing time may come in either corner-outfield spot, where the Royals have struggled to generate production this season. Caglianone looks to be a must-add option in nearly every redraft league due to his power potential alone.

Kochanowicz (3-7) yielded four runs on five hits and three walks over 3.2 innings Sunday, striking out four and taking a loss against Cleveland.

Kochanowicz delivered two scoreless frames to open the game before coughing up a run in the third inning. The Guardians then scored three in the fourth inning, including one on a solo shot by Jose Ramirez. Kochanowicz has given up four runs in three straight outings, raising his ERA from 4.71 to 5.34 in the process. He threw just 48 of 84 pitches for strikes Sunday in his shortest outing of the year. Kochanowicz is currently slated to face the Mariners at home next weekend.

Clase struck out two batters in a perfect inning and earned a save against the Angels on Sunday.

Clase fired nine of 10 pitches for strikes and had no issue retiring the Angels' 5-6-7 hitters in order to close out the 4-2 win. He picked up saves on back-to-back days for the first time since May 3 and 4 and has now converted nine straight chances. Since his last blown chance, Clase has posted a 17:2 K:BB with a 1.23 ERA over 14.2 frames. He owns a 3.96 ERA and has converted 13 of 15 saves this season.
