Cowser went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 5-1 win over Seattle.

Making just his fifth major-league appearance of the season and his first since March 30, Cowser made an immediate impact in his return to action with his second homer of the year. The 25-year-old outfielder was on the injured list for over two months due to a fractured left thumb, but he's primed to play nearly an everyday role in Baltimore's outfield going forward. Through his first 22 plate appearances, Cowser is slashing .150/.227/.450 with the aforementioned two long balls, three runs scored and a walk.

Taylor went 1-for-2 with a home run, four RBI, two runs scored and one steal in Tuesday's 8-1 victory over the Tigers.

​​Taylor played a pivotal role in Tuesday's win, drawing an RBI walk in the fourth inning and later launching a three-run homer in the sixth. The 34-year-old's overall season slash line of .206/.277/.374 with 14 RBI isn't impressive, but his .250/.338/.464 line with 12 RBI over the past 30 games is an encouraging sign. The 2021 Gold Glove winner will always provide value with his defense, but an offensive surge is a welcome development.

Tellez went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 5-1 loss to Baltimore.

Tellez snapped a 12-game homerless cold spell, also plating just his second run since May 18. The veteran slugger has functioned as Seattle's primary first baseman this season, although it appears that pitcher-friendly T-Mobile Park is severely hampering his fantasy appeal. Tellez boasts a .915 OPS over 67 at-bats on the road, but he owns a dismal .483 OPS across 68 at-bats at home.

Smith (2-3) earned the win Tuesday, allowing three hits and two walks over 5.1 scoreless innings against the Tigers. He struck out six.

Smith neutralized the Tigers' offense, recording his fourth scoreless outing of the season. The right-hander has impressed in his rookie campaign, posting a 2.45 ERA and 1.14 WHIP across 62.1 innings. While the White Sox remain at the bottom of the AL Central, Smith has been a clear bright spot.

Sugano (5-3) picked up the win Tuesday against the Mariners after surrendering one run on five hits and one walk in seven innings. He struck out five.

Sugano continues to provide length for the Orioles, working at least five innings in his ninth straight start while walking one or fewer for the eighth time during that span. Additionally, the 35-year-old right-hander has tossed at least six frames on seven occasions during that period, and he posted his sixth quality start of the year Tuesday. Sugano sports a solid 3.04 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 40:11 K:BB through 71 innings ahead of a tough assignment versus the hard-hitting Athletics, who rank fifth in the majors with a .417 slugging percentage in 2025.

Manager Dan Wilson said after Tuesday's game that he expects Kirby to be fine after getting hit in the face by a line drive, Andrew Destin of the Associated Press reports.

Seattle's skipper added that Ramon Urias' 103-mph line drive in the fifth inning initially struck Kirby's hand before deflecting off his jaw, which likely lessened the impact. The 27-year-old righty is slated to be further evaluated Wednesday, at which point the Mariners will have more information about his condition, though Wilson's comments suggest Kirby still has a good chance to make his next start -- tentatively scheduled to come Sunday against the Angels. Kirby ended up taking the loss Tuesday -- dropping to 0-3 on the year -- after giving up two earned runs on eight hits and a walk while striking out three batters in five innings.

McCullers (1-1) allowed two hits and a walk over six shutout frames Tuesday, striking out seven and earning a win over Pittsburgh.

McCullers didn't face much of a threat as he cruised through six scoreless innings Tuesday. He threw 61 of 96 pitches for strikes and earned his first MLB win since September of 2022. Since coughing up seven runs while recording just one out against the Reds on May 10, McCullers has posted an impressive 2.21 ERA with a 29:6 K:BB across 20.1 frames. He dropped his season ERA to 4.44 across 24.1 innings. McCullers' next start is projected to be in Cleveland.

Hader struck out two batters in a perfect inning to earn a save against the Pirates on Tuesday.

Hader tossed 12 of 15 pitches for strikes as he cruised to his 16th save of the year. He's perfect in save chances this year and owns an active seven-inning scoreless streak. Hader dropped his ERA to 1.38 with a 39:6 K:BB through 26 frames this season. He's posted a 12:1 K:BB since he last allowed a run May 16.

Brieske did not factor into the decision Tuesday, allowing no hits and one walk over 1.1 scoreless innings against the White Sox. He struck out two.

The right-hander got the bullpen game off to a solid start, handing things over in the second inning to Brant Hurter, who ultimately took the loss. Brieske has been highly effective recently, recording a 1.17 ERA and 1.04 WHIP over 7.2 innings across his last seven outings. He's expected to resume his usual role in the bullpen moving forward.

Lopez was removed from Tuesday's game against the Athletics due to right shoulder tightness, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.

Lopez took the mound in preparation to begin the sixth inning but motioned to come out of the game after throwing a few warmup pitches. It's unclear if his shoulder will force him to miss his next start, but the Twins should provide an update on his status in the near future. Before exiting, the 29-year-old had surrendered two earned runs on four hits and three walks while striking out four batters across five innings.
