Dominguez (thumb) will start in left field and bat seventh Thursday against the Guardians.

Dominguez missed each of New York's last two contests while recovering from a jammed thumb he suffered Sunday. Now that he's comfortable swinging a bat again, he'll rejoin the starting nine Thursday and aim to stay hot after collecting a base hit in each of his last four games.

Orioles interim manager Tony Mansolino said that Westburg (hamstring) will play another rehab game with Triple-A Norfolk on Thursday, Andy Kostka of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports.

Westburg was set to be re-evaluated after Wednesday's game with Norfolk, and the decision has been made to give him another contest as the club's designated hitter Thursday. He will continue to be evaluated on a day-to-day basis, with a return to the Orioles' active roster considered imminent. Westburg has been shelved since late April with a strained left hamstring.

Urias is absent from the lineup for Thursday's tilt in Seattle.

It's a routine day of rest for Urias, who had started each of the previous 12 contests. Emmanuel Rivera is at third base and batting seventh for the Orioles.

Cowser is absent from the lineup for Thursday's game in Seattle.

Cowser started the first two games of the series after returning from the 60-day injured list, but he'll get some rest for this one. Jorge Mateo is in center field and Dylan Carlson is in left as the Orioles try to complete the sweep.

Raley (oblique) hopes to begin a minor-league rehab assignment early next week, Adam Jude of The Seattle Times reports.

Raley felt good after taking max-effort swings Wednesday for the first time since going on the injured list, which looks to be one of his final steps before returning to game action on an assignment. The 30-year-old slugger has been recuperating from a right oblique strain since the end of April, and he's tracking toward rejoining the Mariners at some point in mid-to-late June. Seattle is using a combination of Leody Taveras and Dylan Moore in right field in Raley's absence, while Rowdy Tellez and Donovan Solano have worked in a platoon at first base.

Mayo is not in the lineup for Thursday's contest in Seattle.

Mayo started the first four games for the Orioles upon his promotion from Triple-A Norfolk last week, but he'll get some rest during Thursday's series finale. Ryan O'Hearn is at first base and Adley Rutschman is in the designated-hitter spot.

Basso (shoulder) will begin a rehab assignment with Single-A Stockton on Sunday, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

Basso has been sidelined all season with a left shoulder strain and made just two appearances during spring training before the injury, so it will take time for him to build back up. There are spots in the Athletics' rotation to be had, however, so Basso could grab one if he pitches well and gets sufficiently stretched out.

Interim manager Tony Mansolino said Wednesday that Mountcastle (hamstring) will be sidelined "a while" after the Orioles received his MRI results, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

It's not an encouraging sign for Mountcastle, who remains without a definitive timetable for a return and appears to be out indefinitely due to a right hamstring strain. Baltimore recalled Coby Mayo from the minor leagues after Mountcastle hit the injured list, and the former looks to have a fairly clear pathway to at-bats either at first base or designated hitter for the time being. Ryan O'Hearn is also likely to be needed to handle additional reps at first base as opposed to the outfield while Mountcastle is on the shelf.

Coulombe (forearm) will begin a rehab assignment at Triple-A St. Paul on Friday, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.

Coulombe has been on the shelf since mid-May due to a left forearm strain, though he appears to be nearing the final stretch of his recovery. He'll likely only need a few minor-league outings to build back up and could be back in action for Minnesota within the next week. Before hitting the IL, Coulombe had yet to allow a run on the season and turned in an 0.60 WHIP and 19:2 K:BB in 16.2 innings.

The Athletics optioned Sterner to Triple-A Las Vegas on Thursday, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

Sterner will head to the minors just one day after he made his first MLB start. While serving as an opening pitcher in front of bulk reliever Jeffrey Springs, Sterner took his third loss of the season after giving up a solo home run in his lone inning. The Athletics reinstated T.J. McFarland (groin) from the injured list in a corresponding move.
