Baez went 3-for-4 with a home run, a double, a walk, two RBI and three runs scored in Friday's 11-5 win over the Reds.

Baez was a thorn in the Reds' side all game, falling a triple short of the cycle while homering for the first time since May 16. Though the 32-year-old entered Friday without an extra-base hit in June, he's now hit safely in nine of 11 games this month. He's slashing .284/.314/.443 with seven home runs, 33 RBI, 29 runs scored and one stolen base in what continues to be a surprisingly resurgent campaign.

Greene crushed a 426-foot homer in the third inning before adding a bases-loaded double in the sixth. While the home run was his first in June, the 24-year-old has tallied six multi-hit efforts and eight RBI through the month's first 12 games. On the season, he's slashing .279/.334/.498 with 14 long balls, 48 RBI, 34 runs scored and one stolen base across 287 plate appearances.

Lewis suffered a left hamstring strain during Friday's loss against the Astros, Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

Manager Rocco Baldelli said after the game that Lewis' hamstring "tested relatively well upon examination," but the team plans to run more tests on him Saturday. The oft-injured Lewis missed the first month-plus of the season due to a strain in the same hamstring, and it remains unclear if his latest flare-up will send him back to the injured list.

Torres went 2-for-4 with two home runs and three RBI in Friday's 11-5 win over the Reds.

Torres opened the scoring with a leadoff homer in the first inning and went deep again in the seventh. It was a much-needed power surge for the 28-year-old, who hadn't homered since May 12 and entered Friday with just one extra-base hit over 12 June games. On the season, he's slashing .271/.373/.414 with seven home runs, 33 RBI, 32 runs scored and four steals across 249 plate appearances.

Manager Bruce Bochy said after Friday's win over the White Sox that he believes Carter's wrist injury isn't anything too serious, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports.

Carter was pulled from Friday's game in the seventh inning after injuring his wrist on a diving catch in the fourth. Bochy added that the team will likely look to give the 22-year-old outfielder a day off to recover Saturday, but he shouldn't need much more time than that before returning to the lineup. Josh Smith and Sam Haggerty are the most likely candidates to take Carter's place in center field while he sits.

Melton was diagnosed with a right ankle sprain after Friday's win over Minnesota, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.

Melton is set to undergo testing Saturday to determine the severity of his injury, but manager Joe Espada noted that early indicators aren't favorable. If Melton ends up needing an IL stint, it could open up a spot for Taylor Trammell (calf) to make his Houston debut.

Montero (3-1) earned the win against the Reds on Friday, allowing two runs on seven hits and one walk with four strikeouts over five innings.

Montero entered with two outs in the first inning and tossed five solid frames despite surrendering two solo home runs. The 24-year-old has now allowed three earned runs or fewer in seven of his 10 outings this season, split between starts and bulk-relief appearances. He owns a 4.24 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and 34:18 K:BB across 51 innings and lines up to face the Pirates next week, though his role for that outing remains uncertain.

Paredes was diagnosed with a strained left hamstring Friday, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.

After Paredes injured his hamstring during Thursday's contest, manager Joe Espada said Friday that the 26-year-old infielder may need to miss a few additional games while he recovers, but the team is hopeful that he will be able to avoid spending time on the injured list. Mauricio Dubon is likely to pick up starts at the hot corner until Paredes is ready to rejoin the starting nine.

Lewis was removed from Friday's game against Houston due to an apparent injury, Audra Martin of FanDuel Sports Network North reports.

Lewis pulled up while running to first base on his ninth-inning single and was immediately lifted for a pinch runner, ending his night after he'd gone 2-for-4 with a solo home run. The severity of his injury isn't immediately clear, but Minnesota should have more details on his status after they take a closer look at him. If the 26-year-old ends up needing to miss any amount of time, there would be room in the lineup for Willi Castro and Brooks Lee to play every day.

Yarbrough did not factor into the decision in Friday's 2-1 extra-inning loss to the Red Sox, allowing one run on four hits and three walks with three strikeouts over 4.2 innings.

Yarbrough allowed just one run in the second inning but tossed only one clean inning while throwing only 45 of 78 pitches for strikes. It was a solid rebound after the Red Sox tagged the 33-year-old for eight runs Saturday, though he's now failed to complete five frames in back-to-back outings. He'll carry a 3.96 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 46:16 K:BB across 50 innings into a home matchup with the Angels next week.
