Rice will start at catcher and bat sixth in Wednesday's game versus the Angels.

Rice saw most of his playing time at catcher in the minors, but he'll be making his first-ever start and seventh career appearance behind the dish at the major-league level. While Rice's starts at catcher moving forward are expected to be few and far between, it offers an additional path to playing time and also gives him a chance to gain eligibility at the position for fantasy purposes.

The Yankees reinstated Brubaker (ribs) from the 60-day injured list Wednesday.

Not only will Brubaker be making his season debut when he gets into a game, but he'll also be making his Yankees debut. After being acquired from the Pirates last March, Brubaker was limited to just a handful of rehab appearances in 2024 while he recovered from April 2023 Tommy John surgery and an oblique strain. He was fully healthy heading into spring training, but Brubaker sustained three rib fractures when he was struck by a comebacker in late February. The right-hander proved his health over a month-long rehab assignment and ended it in impressive fashion this past Friday, when he gave up one earned run on no hits and two walks in a five-inning start for Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. Though Brubaker built up as a starter during his minor-league assignment, the Yankees are initially expected to use him in long relief.

The Orioles optioned Wolfram to Triple-A Norfolk on Wednesday.

The transaction frees a spot on the active roster for lefty Trevor Rogers, who was recalled from Triple-A to start Wednesday versus the Rays. Wolfram's latest stint with the Orioles lasted only one day, and he did not make an appearance.

Rogers will start Wednesday's road game against the Rays. The left-hander was terrific in a spot start for Baltimore back on May 24, tossing 6.1 scoreless innings with five strikeouts in a no-decision against the Red Sox. However, Rogers has not pitched well at Norfolk, collecting a 5.46 ERA and 26:8 K:BB over 29.2 innings. Rogers could receive multiple starts for Baltimore while Cade Povich (hip) is on the shelf, but he's a risky proposition in fantasy.

Young is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Red Sox.

Though he will hit the bench while the Red Sox send star southpaw Garrett Crochet to the mound, the lefty-hitting Young appears to have built up some job security as the Mariners' top second baseman against right-handed pitching. The rookie has slashed .379/.419/.483 with four runs and four RBI over his previous eight starts.

Canzone is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Red Sox.

The lefty-hitting Canzone will exit the lineup while southpaw Garrett Crochet toes the rubber for the Red Sox, paving the way for Miles Mastrobuoni to pick up a start in right field. Canzone had been included in the starting nine in each of the previous five contests, going 5-for-19 with a double, a walk, two runs and two RBI. He should continue to see regular starts versus right-handed pitching until Luke Raley (oblique) is ready to return from the injured list.

Crawford is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Red Sox.

The left-handed-hitting Crawford typically starts against opposing southpaws, but he'll take a seat for the day game after a night game while the Red Sox send ace lefty Garrett Crochet to the bump. Dylan Moore will fill in for Crawford at shortstop and bat leadoff.

Double-A Portland placed Monegro on its 7-day injured list Saturday due to right elbow inflammation, Josh Ball of Beyond the Monster reports.

According to Ball, the same injury resulted in Monegro being scratched from a start earlier this month and cropped up again in his most recent appearance Friday, when he was lifted midway through the second inning. The 22-year-old righty had posted a 2.67 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 49:8 K:BB in 33.2 innings with Portland on the season before landing on the shelf.

Double-A Portland placed Romero on its 7-day injured list June 4 due to an unspecified injury.

Romero was slashing .246/.335/.457 with five home runs and three steals across 159 plate appearances before being shut down with the injury. The Red Sox haven't provided a timeline for the 21-year-old infielder's return to the Double-A lineup.

The Red Sox reinstated Garcia (knee) from Single-A Salem's 60-day injured list June 10 and assigned him to High-A Greenville.

Garcia has played in five games since joining Greenville, making three starts at catcher while going 5-for-18 with a double and three walks. While playing with Salem in 2024, Garcia sustained a knee injury that required season-ending surgery. He was held out of action for just over a year before he began a rehab assignment in the rookie-level Florida Complex League on May 20. The 20-year-old backstop slashed .316/.333/.632 with three home runs in 12 games in the FCL before he was cleared to join Greenville.
