Jose Berrios SP | TOR
Blue Jays' Jose Berrios: Sharp in second rehab start
Berrios (elbow) struck out five over four shutout innings Wednesday in a rehab start with Single-A Dunedin. He scattered three hits and didn't issue a walk.
Per Mitch Bannon of The Athletic, Berrios topped out at 94.6 miles per hour and averaged 93.5 mph with his fastball, a tick above his average from the 2025 season. Berrios now has two outings under his belt with Dunedin and will likely join a higher-level affiliate for his next start as he continues to get stretched back out after opening the season on the shelf due to a minor stress fracture in his elbow. The right-hander tossed 55 pitches Wednesday, so he may need two more starts in the minors before potentially returning from the injured list and joining the Toronto rotation.

Jack Leiter P | TEX
Rangers' Jack Leiter: Fans five in five innings
Leiter didn't factor into the decision Wednesday against the Pirates, allowing four runs (three earned) on five hits and two walks across five innings. He struck out five.
Leiter tossed 57 of his 84 pitches for strikes, and while he didn't factor into the decision, this was far from his best outing. The right-hander has been struggling of late, and this was his third consecutive start in which he allowed at least three earned runs while failing to pitch six complete innings. He hasn't earned a quality start since his first start of the season, when he tossed six innings of two-run ball against the Orioles on March 30. Leiter, who has seen his ERA increase all the way up to 4.97, is scheduled to make his next start at home against the Yankees next week.

Roman Anthony OF | BOS
Red Sox's Roman Anthony: Will remain out of lineup Thursday
Red Sox manager Alex Cora said in an interview on the WEEI Sports Radio Network that Anthony (back) will remain out of the lineup Thursday against the Yankees.
Anthony missed Wednesday's contest with a sore back and has evidently not improved enough to avoid a second straight absence. He is considered day-to-day. Andruw Monasterio started at designated hitter in Anthony's place Wednesday, but it's unclear who will slot in at DH on Thursday as the Red Sox try to avoid being swept.

Taylor Rogers RP | MIN
Twins' Taylor Rogers: Tagged with loss in relief
Rogers (0-1) took the loss in relief Wednesday against the Mets after allowing one run on one hit and a walk over two-thirds of an inning.
Rogers came to pitch in the eighth inning in a tied game, but he gave up what ended up being the deciding run on an RBI single by Mark Vientos that scored Brett Baty. Rogers has given up runs in three of his last seven appearances, posting a 4:4 K:BB and a 5.68 ERA across 6.1 frames over that stretch.

Connor Prielipp SP | MIN
Twins' Connor Prielipp: Fans six in MLB debut
Prielipp didn't factor into the decision Wednesday against the Mets. He allowed two runs on four hits while striking out six across four innings.
Prielipp tossed 52 of his 82 pitches for strikes in his major-league debut, but he gave up runs in the first and fourth innings via an RBI single from Francisco Lindor (calf) and an RBI double from Francisco Alvarez. With Mick Abel (elbow) sidelined, Prielipp could stay in the Twins' rotation for more than one start. If that's the case, he tentatively lines up to make his next start next week at home against the Mariners.

Jarren Duran LF | BOS
Red Sox's Jarren Duran: Supplies offense in loss
Duran went 3-for-4 with two doubles and an RBI in Wednesday's 4-1 loss to the Yankees.
Duran's RBI single in the ninth inning snapped a string of 17 consecutive scoreless innings for the Red Sox the last two days and a 29.2-inning scoreless stretch against New York dating back to last year's postseason. The one positive takeaway for Boston is that this was the best game of the season for Duran, who entered the contest slashing .162/.240/.250 over 18 games. A major difference for Duran on Wednesday was that he replaced a leg kick with a toe tap, Ian Browne MLB.com reports.

Ezequiel Duran 2B | TEX
Rangers' Ezequiel Duran: Remains in left field
Duran started in left field and went 0-for-3 in Wednesday's 8-4 loss to the Pirates.
Duran, who replaced an injured Wyatt Langford (forearm) during Tuesday's game, stayed in the lineup after the Rangers placed Langford on the injured list Wednesday. Duran has been a nice source of production -- he entered Wednesday batting .298 with one home run, eight RBI and three steals in 47 at-bats -- and should receive the bulk of the starts in left field while Langford is shelved.

Cole Winn SP | TEX
Rangers' Cole Winn: Tagged with loss
Winn (0-1) took the loss against Pittsburgh on Wednesday, allowing three runs on two hits while striking out one over one-third of an inning.
Winn entered the ninth inning of a 4-4 game and gave up hits to the first two batters before allowing a run on a fielder's choice. The rest of the damage came after he was removed, as Jalen Beeks surrendered a three-run shot to Oneil Cruz. Winn is part of the Rangers' late-game crew but has recently hit a rough patch; he's allowed three runs in two of his last four outings. After a scoreless 7.2 innings to start the season, Winn has pitched to a 16.20 ERA over 3.1 subsequent frames.

Josh Jung 3B | TEX
Rangers' Josh Jung: Extends RBI streak in loss
Jung went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in Wednesday's 8-4 loss to the Pirates.
Jung gave Texas an early lead with a two-run homer in the second inning, his third of the season. The homer also extended an RBI streak to six contests, during which the third baseman is 11-for-24 (.458) with eight extra-base hits and eight RBI. He's turned around a slow start to the season, but maintaining that level of production over longer stretches has been elusive for Jung the last two years.

Carter Jensen C | KC
Royals' Carter Jensen: Drives sixth homer Wednesday
Jensen went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, an additional RBI, an additional run scored and a walk in Wednesday's loss to the Orioles.
Jensen connected on his sixth homer of the season in the sixth inning, extending his team lead in that category. In his first full major-league season, the 22-year-old has lived up to the hype so far, slashing .275/.354/.565 with six homers, two doubles, 14 RBI and 11 runs through 23 appearances.
