Triple-A Durham placed Melton (hamstring) on the 7-day injured list Tuesday.
Melton left Durham's game against Gwinnett on Saturday due to what's since been diagnosed as a right hamstring strain, which will keep him sidelined for at least one week. However, the injury is not expected to be serious, per MLB.com. Melton is slashing .285/.381/.520 with five home runs, 12 doubles, 23 RBI and 23 stolen bases over 148 plate appearances for the Bulls this season.
