Pepiot (5-6) picked up the win Saturday, allowing one run on three hits and two walks in an 8-3 victory over the Tigers. He struck out seven.

The right-hander wasn't particularly efficient, needing 96 pitches (63 strikes) to record 15 outs, but Pepiot generated 31 called or swinging strikes in another strong outing. He's given up three runs or fewer in 12 straight starts, a stretch in which he's delivered a 2.48 ERA and 0.95 WHIP. Pepiot has also found another gear with his strikeouts in June, posting a 35:8 K:BB in 24.2 innings on the month. He will look to keep rolling in his next start, which lines up to come on the road next weekend in Baltimore.

X-rays on Westburg's left hand came back negative after he was removed from Saturday's game against the Yankees, Andy Kostka of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports.

Westburg jammed his left index finger while stealing second base in the first inning, leading to his eventual removal in the third. Although he doesn't have any structural damage, the 26-year-old is dealing with a bit of swelling, so the O's may hold him out for a day or two until his finger calms down.

Isbel isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Padres.

After going 1-for-14 across his last four games, Isbel will take a seat Saturday while Drew Waters starts in center field and bats eighth.

Loftin isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game versus San Diego.

Loftin will retreat to the bench after going 0-for-2 with a walk and a run scored during Friday's win. His absence will allow John Rave to pick up a start in left field while batting ninth.

Gipson-Long worked in bulk relief during Saturday's 8-3 loss to the Rays, allowing four runs on six hits across 6.1 innings while not factoring into the decision. He struck out three.

After opener Brant Hurter failed to complete the first inning, Gipson-Long came in to retire the last batter of the frame and then worked the next six full innings. It's a season high in innings for the righty, who has now made four appearances since getting activated off the injured list earlier this month. Gipson-Long did allow his first three home runs of the year Saturday, though it was otherwise an encouraging outing for the 27-year-old as he continues to round into form following his long layoff after Tommy John and hip surgeries. He'll carry a 4.58 ERA into his next appearance, which is currently scheduled for Friday at home against the Twins.

Hurter (2-3) allowed four runs (no earned) on two hits and two walks while retiring only two batters to take the loss Saturday against the Rays. He also hit a batter.

Hurter served as the opener but struggled with control and couldn't complete the first inning. He was ultimately pulled after tossing 31 pitches (16 for strikes) and hitting his fifth batter of the year while also matching a season high in walks. The lefty has now allowed 11 runs across 10 innings pitched this month, though only four of them have been earned, and he still has a solid 2.29 ERA overall. Hurter should continue to work as a valuable reliever for the Tigers who also opens games on occasion.

Cousins announced on his personal Instagram account that he underwent Tommy John surgery Wednesday.

Cousins had been dealing with injuries to his throwing arm since spring and wasn't able to pitch in any games this season. If all goes well in his recovery from surgery, he could be ready to return to game action sometime during the summer of 2026.

Gray (wrist) threw a bullpen session of roughly 35 pitches Friday, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports.

Gray is targeting a late-July return, and he's been making significant progress recently in his recovery from a right wrist injury. He threw around 35 pitches against ghost hitters, likely meaning he's throwing his full pitch mix. He was limited to throwing fastballs in his June 13 bullpen session.

Eovaldi (triceps) threw around 50 pitches in three simulated innings of live batting practice and could be activated from the 15-day injured list sometime during the upcoming week, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports.

Eovaldi is likely to skip a rehab assignment, as he's instead been able to get stretched out through sim games. A precise date for his return hasn't been set yet, but the Rangers begin a three-game road series against the Orioles on Monday before returning to Texas on Friday for a three-game set versus the Mariners.

Manager Bruce Bochy said Saturday that Duran will see the majority of the reps at first base while Jake Burger (oblique) is on the injured list, Shawn McFarland of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Bochy also gave Duran some praise for his recent work at the plate, which is another positive sign for Duran's fantasy outlook. The 26-year-old has just 51 plate appearances this season and has logged a poor .455 OPS, but he has three doubles in his last nine at-bats and will have an opportunity to prove himself in a larger role. Justin Foscue and Josh Smith could occasionally start at first base while Burger is sidelined.
