Raley is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Cubs.

Raley has gone 4-for-7 with a double, two RBI and a run in his first two games back from an oblique strain, but he'll hit the bench Sunday even though Chicago is starting righty Colin Rea. Donovan Solano will receive another start at first base while Dominic Canzone starts in right.

Rodriguez (hip) began a rehab assignment Saturday in the rookie-level Florida Complex League, going 1-for-3 with a walk, a run and an RBI in his first game.

Rodriguez has been on the shelf at Triple-A St. Paul since early June due to the hip injury, but he could be ready to rejoin the Twins' top affiliate later on during the upcoming week. Prior to being shut down, Rodriguez was hitting .232/.400/.392 with four home runs and six steals over 160 plate appearances at Triple-A.

Scherzer (thumb) confirmed that he'll be activated from the 60-day injured list to start Wednesday's game in Cleveland, Hazel Mae of Sportsnet reports. "My stuff is fine," Scherzer said Sunday. "I'm trying everything I can to manage this [thumb] and make sure I can recover...There's no knowing, just have to get out there."

Even though Scherzer is poised to make his first start since March 29, his right thumb seems like it may be an issue that he'll have to continue to manage. After striking out eight batters in 4.1 shutout innings in his second rehab outing with Triple-A Buffalo this past Wednesday, the 40-year-old was still dealing with some lingering soreness in his thumb afterward. Even so, Scherzer was able to temporarily quell concerns about his health by completing a bullpen session Sunday, prompting the Blue Jays to clear him to rejoin the rotation. He built up to 75 pitches during his last rehab start and shouldn't be under any major restrictions Wednesday, though the Blue Jays will presumably keep a careful watch on his workload and his effectiveness should he last deeper into the game.

Prielipp (blister) returned from the 7-day injured list and gave up two earned runs over 2.1 innings with two strikeouts and no walks Saturday for Double-A Wichita.

He was shut down for two weeks with a blister issue, as the Twins aim to monitor his workload this season. Prielipp has a lengthy injury history that includes a Tommy John surgery in 2021 and an internal brace surgery in 2023. The Twins have him on an innings limit this season, and he's unlikely to go more than five innings in any start.

Springer is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the White Sox.

Springer appears to be getting some routine maintenance after he started each of the Blue Jays' previous five games. His absence from the lineup frees up the designated hitter spot for Vladimir Guerrero.

Clase is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the White Sox.

Clase had mostly been occupying the strong side of a platoon in center field since Daulton Varsho (hamstring) landed on the injured list June 1, but Myles Straw will stick in the lineup for a second straight matchup versus a right-handed pitcher (Adrian Houser). Clase has produced a .464 OPS in June, and though Straw hasn't been any better at the plate over that stretch (.433 OPS), his superior defense may be tipping the scales in his favor.

Roden (knee) will start in left field and bat ninth Sunday against the White Sox.

Roden hasn't appeared in a game since Wednesday due to a swollen right knee, but he's been given the green light to re-enter the starting nine. With Nathan Lukes returning from the 7-day injured list earlier this weekend and Addison Barger (hip) rejoining the lineup Sunday following a one-game absence, Roden's opportunities in the Toronto outfield could be fairly limited.

Noda will start at designated hitter and will bat sixth in Sunday's game against the Blue Jays.

After joining the White Sox last weekend shortly after being claimed off waivers from the Red Sox, Noda has handled a regular role for Chicago. He's started seven of the last eight games, but he's gone just 2-for-17 with a solo home run. Expect Noda's playing time to eventually trend downward if he's unable to get anything going at the dish.

Slater is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Blue Jays.

Slater started each of the White Sox's last three games while the team went up against right-handed pitching, as Mike Tauchman tends to a groin injury. Though he went 4-for-10 with a double, two walks, three runs and one RBI in those contests, Slater still looks as though he'll be limited to a short-side platoon role when the outfield is fully healthy. Michael Taylor will get the nod in right field Sunday over Slater.

Tauchman (groin) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Blue Jays.

He'll miss a third consecutive start while he deals with a sore right groin, which he tweaked while running the bases Thursday. The White Sox haven't used Tauchman off the bench in either of the first two contests in Toronto, and manager Will Venable will likely stay away from the veteran outfielder in the series finale as well. Michael Taylor will cover right field.
