Red Sox manager Alex Cora said Wednesday that it "looks like" Bregman (quadriceps) won't return until after the All-Star break, Tim Healey of The Boston Globe reports.

Bregman has already missed a month with a right quad strain. While he has progressed in a running program, he has not yet resumed baseball activities. Bregman and the Red Sox have expressed hope that he could skip a rehab assignment, but given that his absence is now expected to extend to the second half, some rehab games seem likely.

Crawford began the season on the injured list with a right knee injury that first cropped up over the winter. However, it's Crawford's wrist that's been the bigger issue over the last few weeks, and the decision has been made to have surgery. The specific nature of the operation isn't clear, but the team should have more details on Crawford's status after surgery.

Wade will start in right field and bat seventh in Wednesday's game against the Red Sox, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

After signing with the Angels and getting added to the 26-man active roster June 10, Wade played sparingly over his first week and a half with the team, but he's since moved into a strong-side platoon role in the corner outfield after Jorge Soler (back) landed on the shelf. Wade -- who has gone 4-for-23 with one stolen base, three runs and a 1:10 BB:K since joining the Halos -- will pick up his fifth start in six games Wednesday.

The Orioles optioned Hiraldo to Triple-A Norfolk on Wednesday.

Hiraldo didn't make any appearances out of the bullpen in his latest stint with the Orioles, which lasted just three days. His removal from the 26-man active roster frees up a spot for right-hander Brandon Young, who was recalled from Norfolk to start Wednesday's contest versus the Rangers.

The Orioles recalled Young from Triple-A Norfolk on Wednesday.

Young will start Wednesday's game against the Rangers. The right-hander won't be fully stretched out, as he just recently returned from a shoulder issue at Norfolk and threw 65 pitches in his last outing. Young is likely in line for just one start with the Orioles, so he will likely be optioned to Norfolk within the next couple of days.

O'Hoppe is absent from the lineup for Wednesday's contest against the Red Sox, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

O'Hoppe went 1-for-4 while playing 10 innings behind the plate in Tuesday night's 3-2 win and will now get a breather for Wednesday's matinee. Travis d'Arnaud will start behind the dish and bat sixth for the Angels.

Neto (shoulder) is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game versus the Red Sox, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

Neto jammed his right shoulder on a stolen base attempt in the eighth inning of Tuesday's 3-2 extra-inning win and was removed from the contest in the ninth after making a wild throw. His injury is to the same shoulder that he had surgically repaired last November, and he is scheduled to undergo an MRI, per Sam Blum of The Athletic. The Angels could have more information on Neto's status after Wednesday's contest. Scott Kingery will fill in at shortstop and bat ninth.

Hamilton is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Angels, Rob Bradford of WEEI.com reports.

Hamilton will hit the bench for the third time in four games, with all three absences coming while the Red Sox have gone up against left-handed starting pitchers. The 27-year-old had occupied the keystone in each of the previous six matchups with right-handers, however, and he could retain a regular spot in the lineup after the Red Sox demoted the struggling Kristian Campbell to Triple-A Worcester last week. Campbell may end up getting most of his reps at first base when he returns from the minors, but Hamilton will still be at risk of moving into more of a utility role when Alex Bregman (quadriceps) is activated from the injured list. Marcelo Mayer has been serving as the Red Sox's primary third baseman, but he'll spell Hamilton at second base Wednesday and could end up seeing the bulk of his reps at the keystone once Bregman is back in the fold.

Toro is absent from the lineup for Wednesday's contest against the Angels.

Toro is out of the lineup for a second straight day after starting the previous eight and 21 of the last 22 tilts. The Red Sox are facing a lefty (Yusei Kikuchi) for the second consecutive contest, and the switch-hitting Toro has been much better versus righties (.831 OPS, five home runs) than lefties (.679 OPS, zero home runs) this season. Romy Gonzalez and Nate Eaton will handle first base and third base, respectively.

Anthony is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Angels.

The left-handed-hitting Anthony was in the lineup both of the previous two times the Red Sox faced a southpaw, but he'll get a breather Wednesday as the Angels send lefty Yusei Kikuchi to the hill. Wilyer Abreu will start in right field and Rob Refsnyder will serve as the designated hitter for Boston.
