Perez's success this season can be partially attributed to a tweaked batting stance, Cody Stavenhagen of The Athletic reports.

Perez changed the angle of his front foot hoping to not pull off the ball as much, and so far, the results have been positive. The outfielder has a robust .983 OPS through 25 games, up from .683 across 112 regular-season games during his 2024 rookie campaign. The switch-hitting Perez has made his most noticeable jump from the right side of the plate against lefty pitchers. Last year in those matchups, he had a .594 OPS. So far in 2025, Perez has boosted that figure up to a sizzling 1.424, albeit in only 19 plate appearances. The 25-year-old is firmly establishing himself as Detroit's right fielder, and his numbers warrant fantasy attention.

Eovaldi (triceps) will return from the 15-day injured list to start Friday's game against the Mariners, MLB.com reports.

The Rangers will activate him from the IL a few hours prior to Friday's 8:05 p.m. ET opening pitch. Eovaldi has ben on the shelf since June 1 due to right triceps fatigue, but he's been given the green light to rejoin the Rangers rotation after bypassing a minor-league rehab assignment and instead tossing about 50 pitches over three simulated innings of live batting practice last weekend. He checked out fine after a bullpen session Monday and isn't expected to be operating with any major workload restrictions Friday.

Straw went 2-for-3 with a run scored and a stolen base in Thursday's win over the Guardians.

The veteran outfielder continues to get regular playing time while Daulton Varsho (hamstring) remains sidelined. Straw is batting .292 (7-for-24) over his last seven starts dating back to June 11, and on the season he's slashing .272/.303/.346 with one homer, six steals, 14 RBI and 20 runs in 148 plate appearances.

Harrison allowed four runs on eight hits and one walk while striking out four over four innings for Triple-A Worcester on Thursday.

Ford will join the Mariners in Arlington, Texas, on Friday, though it's not certain that he'll be officially called up to the big-league roster, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.

Ford could end up simply spending some time on the taxi squad rather than getting his first big-league call-up, but he may be needed on the Mariners roster if Mitch Garver, who exited Thursday's game against Minnesota after being hit in the jaw by a foul ball, needs to go on the IL. Ford is one of baseball's top catching prospects and has shined with Triple-A Tacoma this season, posting a .311/.426/.469 slash line with eight homers, 43 RBI and three stolen bases over 60 games. If he does get officially promoted, Ford would probably log just a few starts per week, primarily on days when Cal Raleigh is given a break from catching duties.

Larnach went 2-for-5 with a two-run homer, an additional run scored and three total RBI in Thursday's 10-1 victory over Seattle.

Larnach broke a scoreless tie in the fifth inning with a 421-foot blast off Emerson Hancock, his 12th homer this season. The 28-year-old Larnach has been swinging the bat well, going 7-for-20 with a pair of homers in his last five games. Overall, he's slashing .259/.328/.436 with 43 runs scored and 39 RBI through 315 plate appearances this year.

Hancock (3-4) took the loss Thursday against the Twins, allowing two runs on three hits and three walks over five innings. He struck out two.

Hancock was sharp early, blanking Minnesota through his first four innings, before giving up a two-run homer to Trevor Larnach in the fifth. While Hancock would ultimately take a second straight loss, it was a good bounce-back effort after he gave up nine runs and four homers in his previous outing against the Cubs. Overall, Hancock sports a 5.30 ERA with a 1.42 WHIP and 52:27 K:BB across 14 starts (71.1 innings) this season. He's currently scheduled to face the Royals at home in his next start.

Woods Richardson (3-4) earned the win Thursday over the Mariners, allowing two hits and a walk over five scoreless innings. He struck out six.

It was a strong performance from Woods Richardson, who's allowed just three earned runs on seven hits over his last three starts (16 innings). The right-hander's lowered his season ERA to 4.63 with a 1.39 WHIP and 52:22 K:BB across 58.1 innings. Woods Richardson is currently lined up to face the Marlins on the road in his next outing.

Headrick (undisclosed) was placed on Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre's 7-day injured list Thursday, Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports.

It's not yet clear what type of injury Headrick is nursing, but he'll be out of action for at least the next seven days. The lefty reliever was sent from the big club to Triple-A on June 12 after posting a 4.73 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 16:3 K:BB over 13.1 innings with the Yankees. Headrick has recorded a 4.40 ERA, 1.63 WHIP and 12:5 K:BB across 14.1 frames with Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on the campaign.

Meadows went 2-for-4 with two runs scored in Thursday's 8-0 win over the Athletics.

Meadows is slowly starting to get his bat going, as he now has a hit in six of his last seven games. This was his first multi-hit effort since his season debut back on June 2, and he's still batting just .191 overall, but Meadows should continue to see regular playing time as a plus defender in center field. If the 25-year-old can continue to make consistent contact, he has some power and speed potential that could be appealing to fantasy managers.
