Williamson is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Royals.

The rookie will head to the bench for the second time in three games while Miles Mastrobuoni gets the nod at third base. Though Williamson has produced an adequate .254 batting average since being promoted from Triple-A Tacoma on April 13, he's drawn walks at a weak 4.1 percent rate and isn't hitting for much power (.052 ISO). Mastrobuoni profiles as more of a utility player and might not be a serious threat to unseat Williamson atop the depth chart, but Seattle could look outside the organization for an upgrade at third base prior to the July 31 trade deadline if the team remains in the thick of the playoff picture.

Povich has been pulled off his rehab assignment due to renewed soreness in his left hip, Andy Kostka of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports.

Povich threw 75 pitches in a rehab start with Triple-A Norfolk last Thursday but evidently he came out of the appearance with lingering soreness in his injured hip. The Orioles have not yet determined what the next step for Povich is, but his return to the big-league rotation has been delayed indefinitely.

Raley is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Royals.

The left-handed-hitting Raley has gotten on base at a .364 clip and has provided three extra-base hits in eight games since returning from the injured list, but he'll nonetheless hit the bench for the second time in the Mariners' last five matchups with a right-handed pitcher (Michael Wacha). Raley still looks to be in good position to hold down a strong-side platoon role for the long haul, but he'll give way at first base Monday to Donovan Solano, who has made it difficult on the Mariners to take his bat out of the lineup. Since June 8, Solano has hit safely in 11 of 14 games while slashing .413/.449/.630 overall.

Young will start Tuesday's game versus the Rangers in place of the injured Charlie Morton (elbow), Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

Morton is battling elbow tendinitis but is expected to be ready to start Friday in Atlanta. However, with Cade Povich (hip) experiencing a setback on his rehab assignment, Young could be needed for multiple turns in the Orioles rotation. The rookie right-hander holds a 7.11 ERA and 1.97 WHIP in 12.2 innings over his three starts with the big club this season.

The Angels optioned Kingery to Triple-A Salt Lake City on Monday, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Kingery's contract was selected June 11, but the utility player will return to Triple-A after going 2-for-9 (.222) with a stolen base and four strikeouts during his stint with the Halos. A corresponding move has yet to be announced.

Fermin is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Mariners.

Fermin started in three of the Royals' last four contests, but he'll take a seat Monday while Salvador Perez checks back in behind the plate after he had made two of his previous three starts at first base. Though Fermin will likely play more frequently than most No. 2 backstops around the league, his fantasy upside is fairly limited while he offers little power and speed and often hits near the bottom of the lineup.

The Astros are expected to recall Whitcomb from Triple-A Sugar Land on Tuesday, Ari Alexander of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Whitcomb is slated to fill Jeremy Pena's (rib) spot on the 26-man roster after Pena was placed on the 10-day injured list Monday. Though he's gone hitless in nine at-bats with the Astros this season, Whitcomb owns a .942 OPS with 19 home runs in 264 plate appearances with Sugar Land. He's played every position except catcher, pitcher and center field this season, but Whitcomb's clearest path to playing time will likely come at shortstop, designated hitter or left field.

O'Neill (shoulder) will continue his rehab assignment at Triple-A Norfolk on Monday, and he could be reinstated from the 10-day injured list at some point during the Orioles' current road trip, which ends Sunday, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

O'Neill is making steady progress in his recovery from a lingering left shoulder injury after he sustained a setback in early June. Assuming all goes well with Norfolk, O'Neill should be back with the Orioles sometime this week. Since starting back up his rehab assignment June 22, O'Neill is 4-for-18 (.222) with a home run and nine strikeouts across six games.

The Rangers expect Carter (personal) to rejoin the team Wednesday, Jeff Wilson of AllDLLS.com reports.

Carter left the team in order to attend his grandfather's funeral. He has not been placed on the bereavement list, so the Rangers will play a man short for two games. Michael Helman is in center field for Texas on Monday.

Mateo (elbow) was pulled from a rehab game Sunday with Triple-A Norfolk due to a hamstring issue, Andy Kostka of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports.

Mateo has been working his way back from left elbow inflammation and was participating in his fourth game of a rehab assignment before sustaining the setback. He's expected to undergo further evaluation in the coming days, so be on the lookout for an update on the severity of the injury.
