Wells went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a loss to the Mets on Saturday.

Wells plated New York's second run of the game with a solo shot to right field in the third inning. The long ball snapped a 15-game homerless stretch by the backstop and increased his total to 12 home runs on the season -- tied for fourth among big-league catchers. Wells was also looked at by a trainer early in the game after taking a foul tip off his mask, but he remained in the contest and is in the lineup again Sunday, batting eighth and starting behind the plate.

The Guardians placed Thomas on the 10-day injured list Sunday due to plantar fasciitis in his right foot, Tim Stebbins of MLB.com reports.

Cleveland recalled infielder Will Wilson from Triple-A Columbus in a corresponding move, but Angel Martinez is likely to serve as the Guardians' primary option in center field while Thomas is on the shelf. The 30-year-old outfielder is on the IL for the third time this season and for the second straight time with the same injury. He previously missed about two weeks in late May and early June with the foot issue.

Narvaez is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Nationals.

He'll be receiving a routine day off after starting behind the dish in both of the Red Sox's first two games in Washington. Connor Wong will handle catching duties in the series finale.

Jax threw a scoreless eighth inning with a walk in Saturday's 6-5 win over the Rays. He has a 3.86 ERA with 18 holds in 37.1 innings this season.

It was a rare appearance for Jax without a strikeout, as he has an eye-popping 61:9 K:BB and 39.1 percent strikeout rate. After early struggles (10 earned runs in his first eight innings) that saw him briefly demoted to lower-leverage work, Jax has a 1.84 ERA since April 22 and has been the primary set-up man to closer Jhoan Duran. Unlike previous seasons, manager Rocco Baldelli has mostly kept Duran in the ninth inning instead of deploying him in higher-leverage spots earlier in the game, limiting Jax's save opportunities.

Jeffers went 3-for-4 with one run scored in Saturday's 6-5 victory over the Rays.

Jeffers was hitting just .063 (2-for-32) in his previous 11 games before Saturday. He remains the Twins' top option behind the plate, but Jeffers could fall into more of a timeshare with Christian Vazquez if he's unable to build on the three-hit performance.

Interim manager Tony Mansolino said Dominguez hasn't been available out of the bullpen for the Orioles' last two games due to a sore back, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.

Per Brendan Mortensen of MASNSports.com, Mansolino said Dominguez reported the injury after he "slept funny," but the skipper is hoping the reliever will be available Sunday. Dominguez has been a key bridge to closer Felix Bautista this season, collecting 13 holds, one save and two wins while pitching to a 3.15 ERA over 34.1 innings.

Rafaela exited Saturday's 10-3 win over the Nationals in the bottom of the eighth inning after he slipped and tumbled while trying to stretch a double into a triple in the top of the frame, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports. He went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI before being removed.

Rafaela was ultimately thrown out at third base before Nate Eaton subbed in for him in the bottom of the inning, but Rafaela's early exit was likely just precautionary since the Red Sox had built a seven-run lead. The center fielder has gotten off to a hot start to July with five extra-base hits (one home run, four doubles), four RBI and three runs in four games.

Adams allowed five runs on nine hits and no walks while striking out one over four innings Saturday against Tampa Bay.

Adams was used as a bulk reliever in a bullpen game for the Twins. He gave up plenty of loud contact in his MLB debut as he allowed a 47.4 percent hard-hit rate, according to Baseball Savant. With Bailey Ober (hip) likely to return after the All-Star break, it's not clear if Adams will be used in a similar role again Friday when the Twins have an opening in their rotation.

O'Neill is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against Atlanta.

O'Neill returned from the 10-day injured list Friday and picked up starts at designated hitter and in right field this weekend, going 2-for-8 with a solo home run, a walk and an additional run. The Orioles haven't indicated that O'Neill has had a setback with his left shoulder, so he's likely just getting a breather.

Westburg is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against Atlanta.

After missing five straight starts due to a left index finger sprain, Westburg returned to the lineup this weekend and went 4-for-8 with two home runs, three RBI and an additional run in two games. He doesn't appear to be dealing with a setback, so he's likely just getting a breather. Ramon Urias will cover third base in Westburg's stead.
