Jazz Chisholm Jr. 2B | NYY
Yankees' Jazz Chisholm: Battling shoulder issue
Chisholm, who is out of the lineup Sunday against the Mets, said he's been dealing with a shoulder injury for about three weeks, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.
The 27-year-old indicated that the injury is more bothersome when throwing than hitting, and he'll get a couple days to rest thanks to Monday's team off day. The injury can help explain Chisholm's especially poor defense of late, as he's committed five errors in the past 10 games. Oswald Peraza will fill in at the hot corner Sunday for the Yankees.

Lazaro Estrada RP | TOR
Blue Jays' Lazaro Estrada: Demoted to Triple-A
The Blue Jays optioned Estrada to Triple-A Buffalo on Sunday.
Estrada was sent back to the minors to clear room on the 26-man roster for Ryan Burr (shoulder), who was reinstated from the 60-day injured list. After getting his first big-league call-up Friday, Estrada impressed in Saturday's 11-inning win over the Angels, giving up one earned run on two hits and no walks while striking out four over four frames of long relief.

Joey Loperfido LF | HOU
Blue Jays' Joey Loperfido: Called up Sunday
The Blue Jays recalled Loperfido from Triple-A Buffalo on Sunday. He'll start in right field and bat eighth in the Blue Jays' series finale versus the Angels.
The 26-year-old has spent the first few months of the season at the Triple-A level, and he'll receive his first look in the majors of 2025 with Andres Gimenez (ankle) hitting the injured list in a corresponding move. Loperfido has a .278/.354/.422 slash line with six home runs and 10 steals in 76 games with Buffalo this season.

Will Robertson RF | BAL
Blue Jays' Will Robertson: Cast off 40-man roster
The Blue Jays designated Robertson for assignment Sunday.
Robertson will cede his spot on Toronto's 40-man roster to right-hander Ryan Burr (shoulder), who was reinstated from the 60-day injured list Sunday. Before he was optioned to Triple-A Buffalo on June 20, Robertson saw action in three games for Toronto and went 1-for-10 with a walk and an RBI.

Jorge Soler DH | LAA
Angels' Jorge Soler: Resting Sunday
Soler is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Blue Jays.
Soler will get a breather after struggling at the dish since being activated from the injured list Tuesday, going 2-for-15 with a home run and a 3:9 BB:K in five games. Gustavo Campero will cover right field and bat eighth.

Chad Stevens 2B | COL
Angels' Chad Stevens: Drawing fourth straight start
Stevens will start at third base and bat ninth in Sunday's game against the Blue Jays, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.
Since calling Stevens up from Triple-A Salt Lake on Thursday, the Angels have been giving the 26-year-old regular playing time in the infield while Christian Moore (thumb), Yoan Moncada (knee) and Chris Taylor (hand) are all on the shelf. Stevens will pick up his fourth straight start Sunday after going 1-for-8 with four strikeouts through his first three big-league games. He'll likely see his opportunities dwindle once the Angels' infield gets healthy.

Ryan Burr RP | TOR
Blue Jays' Ryan Burr: Off injured list
The Blue Jays activated Burr (shoulder) from the 60-day injured list Sunday.
The right-hander has been on the shelf all season due to shoulder issues but is now ready for his 2025 MLB debut after a five-outing rehab assignment, during which he had a 6:3 K:BB over 5.1 scoreless frames. Burr made 34 appearances for Toronto last season and had three holds with a 4.13 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 47:12 K:BB across 32.2 innings.

Andres Gimenez SS | TOR
Blue Jays' Andres Gimenez: Out with ankle sprain
The Blue Jays placed Gimenez on the 10-day injured list Sunday due to a left ankle sprain.
The second baseman initially suffered the ankle injury Wednesday and was sent for an MRI after aggravating the injury in Friday's 4-3 win over the Angels. The severity of the sprain has yet to be disclosed, but Gimenez will be sidelined through the All-Star break, at a minimum. Joey Loperfido was called up from Triple-A Buffalo to fill the open spot on the 26-man roster, but Davis Schneider, Will Wagner and/or Leo Jimenez could be the main beneficiaries from a playing-time standpoint while Gimenez sidelined.
