The Athletics recalled Bido from Triple-A Las Vegas on Thursday.

Since being sent down to the minors in mid-June, Bido has given up six earned runs over eight innings while striking out nine batters and walking three with Las Vegas. He hasn't performed well in the majors either, sporting a 6.14 ERA through 48.1 frames, but he'll join the big club regardless as a replacement for Mitch Spence. The A's won't need a fifth starter until late July, so Bido will likely work out of the bullpen heading into the All-Star break.

Williamson isn't in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Yankees.

Williamson will take a seat Thursday after collecting a base hit in each of the first two games of the series. Miles Mastrobuoni will fill in as Seattle's third baseman and bat ninth.

Paddack (3-8) took the loss Thursday against the Cubs, allowing six runs on 11 hits and a walk over five innings. He struck out two.

Paddack's performance Thursday continued a tough stretch on the mound, as he's posted a 7.53 ERA in his last seven outings -- he's failed to log more than five strikeouts in a start during that span. The right-hander will head into the All-Star break with a 4.95 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 70:25 K:BB across 19 starts (100 innings).

O'Neill is not in the lineup for the second game of Thursday's doubleheader against the Mets.

O'Neill started in right field in the first game, going 0-for-3 with a walk. He'll begin the nightcap on the bench, as the Orioles will go with Ramon Laureano in right field and Jackson Holliday at designated hitter.

The Rays optioned Orze to Triple-A Durham on Thursday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

His roster spot will be filled by Bryan Baker, who was acquired via trade earlier Thursday. Orze has been a trusted member of the Rays' bullpen for much of the season, but he's stumbled lately, allowing nine runs (eight earned) over his last 10.2 innings.

Stanton isn't in the lineup for Thursday's game versus Seattle.

Stanton has begun to look like his usual self over the past few days, going 4-for-13 with a homer, four RBI and three runs scored across his last three starts. He'll grab a seat in the dugout Thursday, however, moving Aaron Judge into the DH role while Jasson Dominguez, Trent Grisham and Cody Bellinger start across the outfield.

Peraza isn't in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Mariners.

Peraza will give way to Jorbit Vivas at the hot corner Thursday after going 1-for-8 with an RBI, a run and two strikeouts over the first two games of the series.

Goldschmidt isn't in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Mariners.

Goldschmidt will get a chance to rest his legs Thursday after going 6-for-13 with two RBI and four runs scored across his last three games. His absence will give Ben Rice an opportunity to start at first base while batting sixth in the series finale.

Benintendi is not in the lineup for Thursday's contest against the Guardians.

For the second day in a row, the left-handed-hitting Benintendi is out of the lineup with the opposition sending a lefty pitcher to the mound. Benintendi is 4-for-31 over his last eight games, which could be a bigger factor in him sitting two straight games than the fact that the opposing pitchers have been lefties. Michael Taylor will draw a second straight start in left field.

Montgomery is absent from the lineup for Thursday's game versus the Guardians.

The left-handed-hitting Montgomery started Wednesday against Blue Jays lefty Eric Lauer, but he'll grab a seat as the Guardians send southpaw Logan Allen to the bump. Chase Meidroth will play shortstop and Lenyn Sosa will be at second base for the White Sox.
