Bregman is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Cubs, Christopher of Smith of MassLive.com reports.

As reported earlier in the weekend, the Red Sox are managing Bregman's playing time early on in his return from a quadriceps injury. Marcelo Mayer will start at third base in Sunday's series finale. Bregman is expected to start the first two games of the series against the Phillies on Monday and Tuesday.

Rafaela will start at second base and bat third Sunday against the Cubs, Christopher Smith of MassLive.com reports.

This will be Rafaela's second start at the keystone in the last week. Red Sox manager Alex Cora is following through on a statement from last week, when he said he planned on using Rafaela one of two times per week at second base in order to get as many lefty hitters into the lineup as possible against right-handed pitching.

Perkins collected a hold in Saturday's 8-2 win over the Guardians, striking out three while allowing no hits and one walk over three scoreless innings.

Perkins faced the minimum nine batters during his 31-pitch outing, and he atoned for the walk he issued to Carlos Santana to begin the bottom of the seventh by generating an inning-ending double play. Since being called up from Triple-A Las Vegas on June 22, the 25-year-old righty has looked sharp as a long man out of the bullpen, netting a pair of three-inning saves while accruing a 2.84 ERA, 0.87 WHIP and 14:4 K:BB in 12.2 frames. Manager Mark Kotsay has indicated Perkins will make starts for the Athletics before the end of the season, but his usage out of the bullpen Saturday suggests that he won't immediately fill the vacant spot in the club's rotation Tuesday in Texas.

Aranda is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Orioles, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Aranda has gone 0-for-8 with a walk, an RBI and four strikeouts in the first two games out of the All-Star break, so he'll get a breather in Sunday's series finale versus Baltimore. Yandy Diaz will step in at first base while Junior Caminero rests his legs as the designated hitter.

Lukes is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Giants.

Lukes went 2-for-9 with an RBI while starting the first two games of the series and will head to the bench for Sunday's finale. Myles Straw will receive the start in center field and bat ninth against San Francisco lefty Robbie Ray.

Kim went 2-for-3 with a run scored and a stolen base Saturday against the Orioles.

Kim has dealt with a few minor injuries since making his season debut July 4, but he's been back in the lineup for Tampa Bay's first two games since the All-Star break. He tallied his second multi-hit performance across eight starts on the campaign and also swiped his second bag in three tries. Kim has been productive with one home run, three RBI and three runs scored across 29 plate appearances.

Gray (forearm) allowed one run on three hits and two walks while striking out five over 3.2 innings for Triple-A Round Rock on Saturday.

Gray threw 61 pitches (37 strikes) in what he hopes was his final rehab start. He's made three starts -- two at Round Rock sandwiched around one in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League. The Rangers will evaluate the right-hander to determine if Saturday's pitch count and four up-and-downs are sufficient to activate Gray.

Bieber (elbow) is scheduled for his next rehab start Tuesday, MLB.com reports.

Bieber will take the mound for a yet-to-be-determined minor-league affiliate. He had a dominant outing in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League last Tuesday, throwing 32 pitches (20 strikes) in his first game action since a minor setback in early June. The 30-year-old righty could be ready for his season debut with the Guardians in early August.

Hurter tossed two scoreless innings of relief in Saturday's 4-1 loss to the Rangers. He walked one and struck out three.

Hurter has been struggling recently, as he had a 10.13 ERA and 3.38 WHIP across his last 10 appearances prior to Saturday. The lefty still has a strong 3.13 ERA overall, which reflects his effective performance earlier in the season. Hurter was a bullpen weapon for the Tigers last year, posting a 2.58 ERA and 0.88 WHIP in 45.1 regular-season innings, so he should be able to put his recent slump behind him and string together a few more good outings.

Kwan said Saturday that his wrist is doing much better after receiving a shot Wednesday, Tim Stebbins of MLB.com reports. "I got the shot. It's been recovering well. Happy with the progression of it so far, so I'm cautiously optimistic about it," the outfielder said.

Kwan's missed Cleveland's first two games coming out of the All-Star break, but it looks like he'll avoid a stint on the injured list. "I don't think this is an IL case at all. He's feeling better each day," Cleveland manager Stephen Vogt said Saturday. Kwan took swings and went through outfield drills prior to Saturday's game. While he's been out, Nolan Jones has handled left field.
