Torkelson went 3-for-4 with two doubles and a run scored in Tuesday's 8-5 loss to the Pirates.

While Torkelson has yet to go deep following the All-Star break, he has managed to go 6-for-18 with two walks in five games following the Midsummer Classic. The slugging first baseman is stuck on 21 home runs and 59 RBI, both of which are second on the team behind only All-Star starter Riley Greene. Torkelson figures to get into a power surge at some point, the path through which he delivers most of his fantasy value.

Jones went 1-for-1 with a pinch-hit, two-run home run in Tuesday's 8-5 loss to the Pirates.

Jones went deep in the eighth inning against Pittsburgh lefty reliever Caleb Ferguson, his third home run of the season. While Jones doesn't see much action against righties and has only a .453 OPS in those matchups, he has a scintillating .951 OPS when facing southpaws. This makes the 27-year-old more of a platoon player and limits his fantasy ceiling, but Jones has some value in the right spots.

Rogers went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run in Tuesday's 8-5 loss to the Pirates.

With Dillon Dingler getting a breather, Rogers got the start and managed to pop his second home run of the season. It's been a struggle for Rogers, who is batting just .167 with a .588 OPS in 29 games this year. Dingler has been much more productive with a .267 average and .727 OPS, which has relegated Rogers to a bench role and greatly diminished his fantasy value.

Manager Kevin Cash said McClanahan (triceps) won't make his rehab start as scheduled Thursday due to biceps soreness, Ryan Bass of FanDuel Sports Network Sun reports.

The Rays will be "pulling back" on the left-hander's throwing for a few days, though it's worth noting that the biceps issue isn't believed to be related to the nerve problems in his triceps that landed him on the injured list in late March. McClanahan appeared to be tracking toward making his season debut in early August, but it's unclear how long the setback will delay his return.

Manager Bruce Bochy said Eovaldi (back) will either start Wednesday against the Athletics or Friday versus Atlanta, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports.

The veteran right-hander said Tuesday that he's ready to take the mound Wednesday versus the A's, but the skipper indicated that the organization is still deciding on its pitching plans. Eovaldi was scratched from Sunday's scheduled start due to back tightness, an issue which no longer appears to be a concern.

Interim manager Tony Mansolino said Tuesday that it's a "possibility" that Rutschman (oblique) is activated from the injured list ahead of this weekend's series against the Rockies, Matt Weyrich of The Baltimore Sun reports.

The 27-year-old is beginning a rehab assignment with Triple-A Norfolk on Tuesday, and he may require just a couple games in the minors before rejoining the Orioles. After missing more than a month due to an oblique strain, Rutschman could be eased back into the lineup at designated hitter rather than immediately working as the team's everyday catcher.

Interim manager Tony Mansolino said Eflin (back) will be reinstated from the injured list to start Wednesday against the Guardians, Andy Kostka of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports.

The veteran right-hander has been sidelined nearly a month due to lower-back discomfort but is ready to rejoin the O's after making two rehab starts in the minors. Eflin threw 68 pitches over four innings during the second rehab outing and is likely to face some workload limitations in his first start back with Baltimore.

Caratini is not in the Astros' lineup Tuesday versus the Diamondbacks.

Since Caratini had his last day off July 6, he has gone 15-for-40 with two home runs and thee walks in a 10-game span. With the veteran sitting Tuesday, Yainer Diaz draws the start behind the plate, Jose Altuve is serving as the designated hitter and Cooper Hummel enters the lineup in left field.

The Orioles optioned Vazquez to Triple-A Norfolk on Tuesday, Matt Weyrich of The Baltimore Sun reports.

Vazquez was optioned in a corresponding move with Dylan Carlson's promotion from Triple-A Norfolk prior to Tuesday night's game. Vazquez appeared in three games after his promotion July 10 but didn't reach safely in any of the four plate appearances he logged.

Larnach isn't in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Dodgers.

Larnach will step out of the starting nine Tuesday after beginning the second half 2-for-11 through four games. Ryan Jeffers will replace him as Minnesota's DH, allowing Christian Vazquez to start behind the dish.
