Tauchman went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 6-1 loss to the Cubs.

Tauchman ended the Cubs' shutout effort in the ninth inning, when he belted a solo homer to right-center field off Ryan Pressly. It was the first time Tauchman has gone deep in back-to-back games this season, and the veteran outfielder has performed well at the plate since the All-Star break, going 9-for-29 (.310) with three home runs and 10 RBI over his last seven games.

Buxton exited Saturday's contest against Washington due to left side soreness, Aaron Gleeman of The Athletic reports.

Buxton was replaced defensively in the top of the seventh inning, though his previous at-bat came in the fifth. Per Gleeman, the All-Star outfielder is considered day-to-day for now. Should Buxton need to miss additional time, Harrison Bader could slide over to log more starts in center field.

The Royals placed Caglianone on the 10-day injured list Saturday due to a left hamstring strain.

Caglianone was pulled after two innings in the first game of Saturday's twin bill versus Cleveland after hurting his hamstring while running to first base. He went 0-for-1 in the contest and is batting .190 (4-for-21) since the All-Star break. It's not yet clear how much time Caglianone will need to miss, but while he's out, Randal Grichuk -- whom Kansas City acquired in a trade with Arizona on Saturday -- could take most of the starts in right field.

Baker (undisclosed) was pulled from Saturday's matchup versus Cincinnati due to an apparent injury, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Baker entered in the seventh inning and struggled, allowing two runs on two walks and zero hits while striking out one batter. He flexed his lower right leg after his 22nd pitch and was subsequently visited by a trainer and pulled, though the Rays haven't announced a reason for his departure yet. Baker was acquired from the Orioles in a trade July 10 and picked up a hold in two of his first four appearances with Tampa Bay.

Kirk is undergoing tests to determine if he has a concussion after he took a foul tip off his mask Saturday versus Detroit, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Kirk initially remained behind the plate after being dinged by the foul tip, but he was pulled for a pinch hitter in the following frame. Should Kirk need to miss any games moving forward, Tyler Heineman figures to step in as Toronto's starting backstop.

Arizona traded Grichuk to the Royals on Saturday, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports. Per Jon Heyman of the New York Post, the Diamondbacks are getting minor-league reliever Andrew Hoffmann in return.

Grichuk started in right field for the Diamondbacks against Pittsburgh on Saturday but was pulled after two at-bats and was subsequently seen hugging teammates in the dugout. He posted a modest .742 OPS over 70 contests with the Diamondbacks while collecting seven home runs and 22 RBI. Grichuk has pounded as many as 31 homers in an MLB season and could provide a power boost for the Royals, who rank 29th in MLB with 85 long balls on the campaign. His addition could be especially timely if Jac Caglianone, who suffered a hamstring injury Saturday, needs to miss time.

Kirk (undisclosed) was removed from Saturday's game against Detroit after taking a foul tip off his mask in the third inning, Keegan Matheson of MLB.com reports.

Kirk initially remained in the game on defense after taking the foul tip, but he was removed for a pinch hitter in the following frame. The Blue Jays will presumably provide an update on the reason for Kirk's removal during or shortly after Saturday's contest. Tyler Heineman stepped behind the plate for the Blue Jays and would likely take over as the team's primary backstop if Kirk needs to miss additional time.

Stanton went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run in Saturday's 9-4 loss to the Phillies.

The game was already out of reach for the Yankees when Stanton took Daniel Robert deep in the seventh inning. The 35-year-old slugger has gone yard in three of his last four games, giving him seven homers and 20 RBI through 28 contests since recovering from elbow issues and making his 2025 debut in mid-June. Per Jorge Castillo of ESPN.com, manager Aaron Boone indicated after Saturday's contest that Stanton may see time in the outfield in August, as Aaron Judge (elbow) will need to DH when he returns from the IL. Until Judge gets healthy, however, Stanton is likely to remain New York's primary designated hitter.

Stroman (2-2) took the loss Saturday as the Yankees fell 9-4 to the Phillies, coughing up four runs on five hits and four walks over 3.2 innings. He struck out four.

The right-hander got tagged for runs in three of his four frames while tossing only 50 of 89 pitches for strikes as he issued a season-worst four free passes. It's the first time Stroman has failed to last at least five innings since he came off the IL in late June, and in those five starts he's posted a 4.01 ERA, 1.42 WHIP and 16:9 K:BB over 24.2 innings. He'll try to get back on track in his next outing, which is scheduled to come at home next week against the Rays.

Espada agreed to a minor-league contract with the Orioles on Saturday, Rich Dubroff of BaltimoreBaseball.com reports.

Espada was cut loose by the Padres on Tuesday after posting a 3.38 ERA and 1.21 WHIP across 37.1 total innings between Double-A San Antonio and Triple-A El Paso. The 28-year-old has one career MLB appearance under his belt, but he'll likely need to show some improvement at the Triple-A level before he gets another chance in the majors.
