The Orioles recalled Noda from Triple-A Norfolk on Sunday, Danielle Allentuck of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports.

The 29-year-old was optioned to Norfolk after being claimed off waivers from the White Sox on Saturday, but Baltimore didn't wait long before adding him to the 26-man active roster. Noda appeared in 16 games for the White Sox earlier this season and went 3-for-34 with a 42.2 percent strikeout rate. He's played at the Triple-A level with three different organizations in 2025 and has a .194/.390/.366 slash line in 236 plate appearances.

Narvaez is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Astros.

Narvaez will get a breather after he caught all nine innings of Saturday's 7-3 win over the Astros. Connor Wong will get the nod behind the plate Sunday, and manager Alex Cora said he planned on having the 29-year-old catch again Monday against the Royals in an effort to keep him sharp, according to Tim Healey of The Boston Globe. Despite the impending time off, Narvaez should still viewed as Boston's No. 1 catcher.

Robert went 1-for-4 with a run scored and a stolen base Saturday against the Angels.

Robert extended his hitting streak to five games with a single to lead off the second inning. He then stole second base -- his 29th bag of the year -- and came around to score the only run of the game. During his five-game hitting streak, Robert has gone 7-for-18 with three RBI, five runs scored and three stolen bases.

The Astros optioned Contreras to Triple-A Sugar Land on Sunday.

Contreras was sent out to make room in the bullpen for John Rooney, who was acquired from Miami. During his week-long stay with the Astros, Contreras appeared in two contests and struck out three batters over three scoreless innings.

The Astros acquired Rooney from the Marlins in exchange for cash considerations and added him to the 40-man roster and 26-man active roster ahead of Sunday's series finale in Boston.

Right-hander Luis Contreras was optioned to Triple-A Sugar Land to make room in the bullpen for Rooney, who has spent the last seven-plus seasons in the minors and will be making his MLB debut when he gets into a game. The 28-year-old southpaw posted a 2.45 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 45:23 K:BB in 33 innings over 33 appearances for Triple-A Jacksonville in 2025.

Hendricks (6-8) took the loss against the White Sox on Saturday after allowing one run on four hits and two walks across five innings. He struck out two.

The veteran right-hander surrendered a run on three hits and a walk during the second inning, but that was enough to saddle him with the loss as the Angels got shut out. Hendricks has been pitching well lately with a 3.47 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 31:8 K:BB in 46.2 innings across his past nine starts. A tough road matchup versus Detroit is on deck next weekend.

Civale (3-6) allowed two walks and one hit while striking out eight across 6.1 scoreless innings to earn the win Saturday against the Angels.

Civale retired the first nine batters he faced and was never particularly troubled by the Angels while also racking up 13 swinging strikes on 94 pitches. He has suddenly found his form, as this marked his third consecutive outing without allowing an earned run, a stretch of 17.1 innings. Civale has also maintained a 20:3 K:BB in that span while picking up a pair of wins.

Leasure didn't strike out a batter in a perfect ninth inning to earn the save in Saturday's 1-0 win against the Angels.

Aaron Civale and Brandon Eisert combined to allow just one hit through eight innings, and Leasure finished things off by retiring the side in the ninth on just nine pitches. The White Sox haven't had a consistent closer this season, with Leasure and Grant Taylor tied for the team lead with three apiece. Taylor offers more upside and a classic closer arsenal, but the White Sox seem uncertain whether they want to develop the top prospect exclusively as a high-leverage reliever.

Caminero went 1-for-4 with a solo home run Saturday against the Dodgers.

Caminero went yard in the sixth inning to tally his 28th long ball of the season. He's now gone yard five times in 15 games since the All-Star break, also delivering 12 RBI and six runs scored over that stretch.

Carpenter went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Saturday's 7-5 win over the Phillies.

Carpenter launched his 18th home run of the season in the third inning before eventually getting lifted for a pinch hitter in the seventh. The 27-year-old now has five long balls across his last 10 games, though that span also includes about a month on the injured list due to a strained hamstring. Assuming Carpenter can stay healthy, he appears primed to finish the year on a high note and likely surpass his career high of 20 home runs, which he recorded back in 2023.
