Topa struck out one batter in a perfect ninth inning to earn a save against Detroit on Tuesday.

Topa threw 12 of his 15 pitches for strikes and quickly retired the Tigers' 8-9-1 batters to preserve the 6-3 win. He joined Erasmo Ramirez as the two bullpen arms to record saves for the Twins since the team traded Jhoan Duran at the deadline. Topa owns a 3.86 ERA and a 41:12 K:BB through 46.2 saves this season. It was his first save with Minnesota, and he entered Tuesday's contest with three in his career, all of which came during his final season with Seattle in 2023. Cole Sands allowed two runs in the eighth inning Tuesday, and it appears the Twins are still working out how the bullpen arms will be utilized moving forward.

Wells (elbow) allowed three hits and two walks in 2.1 scoreless innings for Triple-A Norfolk on Tuesday. He struck out four.

Wells made his second rehab start, this time with the Triple-A club after pitching for Double-A Chesapeake his last time out, and he's now up to 4.1 shutout frames on his assignment. The right-hander built up to 49 pitches Tuesday amidst his recovery from UCL surgery, so he still has some work to do if the Orioles want to stretch him out to handle a starter's workload. Fantasy managers should expect Wells to make at least two more rehab appearances.

X-rays on Loperfido's right knee came back negative following Tuesday's victory over the Rockies, Keegan Matheson of MLB.com reports.

Loperfido made an early exit from Tuesday's game after getting hit on the knee by a pitch. The Jays are officially labeling his injury as a contusion, and the team will determine his availability on a day-to-day basis for now. If the 26-year-old ends up needing to miss a start or two, Davis Schneider and Myles Straw could pick up some extra playing time.

Matthews (3-3) allowed one run on five hits and a walk over five innings Tuesday, striking out six and earning a win over Detroit.

The lone blemish on Matthews' line came in the third inning on a Kerry Carpenter RBI double. Outside of that frame, Matthews allowed only one other runner to reach scoring position. It was a nice bounce-back outing after he coughed up five runs against Boston on July 30. He threw 86 pitches (55 strikes) and generated 12 whiffs Tuesday. Matthews has given up at least four runs in four of his eight MLB starts this season, resulting in a 5.17 ERA across 38.1 innings. He's projected to face the Royals at home this weekend.

Paddack (4-10) allowed four runs on six hits over four innings while taking a loss against the Twins on Tuesday. He did not record a walk or a strikeout.

Paddack faced the Twins for the first time since being traded from Minnesota to Detroit in July and struggled right out of the gate. He gave up three runs in the first inning, including Luke Keaschall's two-run homer. Trevor Larnach later belted a solo shot in the fourth. Paddack threw only 57 pitches (44) strikes, his lowest pitch total in any outing this year. He produced two straight quality starts before Tuesday's hiccup, and he's now sporting a 4.91 ERA with an 88:27 K:BB through 121 frames. Paddack is expected to face the White Sox in Chicago next week.

Altuve went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer and a walk in Tuesday's win over Miami.

Altuve ripped a two-run jack in the first inning for his 19th of the year. He later drew a walk and knocked a single in his first multi-hit performance since July 30. Altuve had just one home run in his previous 17 games entering Tuesday's contest. He's now slashing .281/.343/.461 with 37 extra-base hits and 59 RBI through 110 games this season.

Blubaugh (1-1) allowed two runs on three hits and a walk over five innings Tuesday, striking out five and earning a win over Miami.

Blubaugh entered the game in the third inning after Steven Okert and Kaleb Ort combined to allow one run in the first two frames. It was Blubaugh's second career MLB appearance and first since April 30. He coughed up a pair of solo homers to Jakob Marsee and Eric Wagaman but otherwise looked solid. With Spencer Arrighetti (thumb) and Cristian Javier (elbow) both potentially back within the next week, it's unclear if Blubaugh will see more action with the big club or head back to Triple-A Sugar Land. He's produced a 4.00 ERA and an 11:2 K:BB over nine MLB innings.

Tellez went 1-for-4 with two RBI in Tuesday's 2-0 win over the Yankees.

With a go-ahead two-run single in the eighth inning, Tellez recorded his most RBI since July 19 versus the Tigers. The veteran slugger should continue to see a boost in playing time while Jake Burger (quad) remains sidelined, and the former is at least pushing for additional at-bats in his own right. Through 30 at-bats (13 games) since joining Texas, Tellez is hitting .300 with one home run, three doubles and seven RBI.

Maton picked up the save Tuesday against the Yankees, allowing one hit and no walks in a scoreless ninth inning. He struck out one.

Maton notched his third save of the season and his first since joining the Rangers. The veteran right-hander's usage signals that he's already part of Texas' high-leverage mix, but it remains to be seen how many more save opportunities he'll see the rest of the way. Through 41.1 frames, Maton has a 2.18 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 51:16 K:BB. It's also worth noting closer Robert Garcia had been dealing with a back issue recently, so it's possible the Rangers are easing him back into action.

Eovaldi (10-3) earned the win Tuesday against the Yankees, allowing one hit and no walks in eight shutout innings. He struck out six.

Eovaldi was nearly untouchable while setting a season low in hits allowed, as he kept a formidable Yankees lineup at bay Tuesday. The 35-year-old veteran right-hander fired at least seven frames for the third time in his past four starts, and he's been simply magnificent when healthy in 2025. With a 1.38 ERA, 0.84 WHIP and 111:20 K:BB over 111 frames for the year, Eovaldi will be looking to keep the good times rolling next week at home versus the Diamondbacks.
