  • Bo Bichette 3B | NYM

Blue Jays' Bo Bichette: Enjoys huge game in Colorado

Bichette went 3-for-6 with two home runs and six RBI in a 15-1 rout of the Rockies on Monday.

Bichette quietly gave the Blue Jays an early lead with a run-scoring single in the first inning. His remaining two knocks were much louder -- he belted a 413-foot, two run homer in the third inning and added a 434-foot, three-run blast in the seventh. Bichette has been red-hot during the second half of the campaign, batting .385 with 21 RBI through 18 contests. However, Monday's outburst stood out in that it included two home runs; prior to the performance, he had gone deep just once over his previous 23 contests.

  • Jonny DeLuca RF | TB

Rays' Jonny DeLuca: Looks set for short-side role

DeLuca went 1-for-4 with a stolen base Monday against the Angels.

DeLuca started his fifth straight game in the absence of Chandler Simpson (hand) and has gone 4-for-18 with six strikeouts in that span. Despite struggling overall, he has managed two stolen bases across those five contests, bringing his total on the season to six. Assuming Simpson makes his expected return Tuesday, DeLuca is likely to shift back to a small-side platoon role.

  • Ha-seong Kim SS | ATL

Rays' Ha-Seong Kim: Reaches base twice

Kim went 1-for-3 with a walk Monday against the Angels.

Kim returned from the injured list Friday and has started all four games since. He's collected one hit in three of those contests, though none have gone for extra bases, and he's also provided no counting stats in that span.

  • Eric Lauer SP | LAD

Blue Jays' Eric Lauer: Cruises behind generous run support

Lauer (7-2) earned the win over Colorado on Monday, allowing one run on seven hits and one walk while striking out four batters over six innings.

Toronto's offense put up nine runs through three innings, taking the stress off Lauer as he cruised through six one-run frames. The left-hander threw 64 of 97 pitches for strikes and notched 13 whiffs while finishing with his fourth quality start over his past six outings. Lauer hasn't given up more than two runs in any start and has posted a 2.57 ERA with a superb 34:4 K:BB across 35 frames over that six-game span. He's next lined up for a road start against the Dodgers this weekend.

  • Jake Meyers CF | HOU

    Astros' Jake Meyers: Resumes running

The Astros announced Monday that Meyers (calf) has resumed running on flat ground, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

Meyers is conducting his rehab for a right calf strain in Houston and has taken his first steps in his recovery since hitting the injured list July 11. He's expected to return from the IL at some point in August, but until Meyers is back in action, the Astros will likely get by with a platoon of Taylor Trammell and Chas McCormick in center field.

  • Cam Smith RF | HOU

Astros' Cam Smith: Productive in return to lineup

Smith went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored Monday against the Marlins.

Smith has struggled across the last month, hitting just .143 with a 30.4 percent strikeout rate in 23 games. He sat Sunday as a result of the slump, but he returned to the lineup Monday to hit ninth and delivered his first multi-hit performance since July 8.

  • Jose Altuve 2B | HOU

Astros' Jose Altuve: Swipes seventh bag

Altuve went 1-for-5 with a stolen base and a run scored Monday against the Marlins.

The Astros have shifted their lineup since the acquisition of Jesus Sanchez and Carlos Correa, and Altuve hit third behind Jeremy Pena and Sanchez on Monday. Altuve reached base on a bunt in the fourth inning and swiped second base, his seventh of the year and first since June 12. He's also hit well since the All-Star break, going 17-for-57 with five RBI and nine runs scored across 15 games.

  • Aaron Judge RF | NYY

Yankees' Aaron Judge: Set to return from IL on Tuesday

Yankees manager Aaron Boone confirmed after Monday's 8-5 loss to the Rangers that Judge (elbow) will be activated from the 10-day injured list Tuesday, Max Goodman of NJ.com reports.

Judge took swings for a second straight day in Tampa on Sunday and joined the team in Texas prior to Monday's matchup, according to Erik Boland of Newsday. The slugger was placed on the IL on July 26 due to a right flexor strain and will be limited to designated-hitter duties for the next few weeks after receiving a platelet-rich plasma injection in his elbow last Tuesday. Judge hasn't yet been cleared to begin a throwing program.

  • Yankees' Austin Slater: Headed for IL

Yankees manager Aaron Boone said after Monday's 8-5 loss to the Rangers that Slater (hamstring) will require a stint on the injured list, Erik Boland of Newsday reports.

Slater made his second start as a member of the Yankees on Monday and went 0-for-1 before he was lifted from the contest in the second inning due to left hamstring tightness. A timetable for Slater's return has yet to be established, but the Yankees quickly concluded that the veteran outfielder would be out for at least the next week and a half. New York is set to get star slugger Aaron Judge (elbow) back from the IL on Tuesday, so Slater is expected to be deactivated in a corresponding move.

  • Josh Jung 3B | TEX

Rangers' Josh Jung: Blasts walk-off homer in return

Jung went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run, a walk and an additional run scored in Monday's 8-5 extra-inning win over the Yankees.

After missing each of Texas' prior four games with a sore calf, Jung played the role of hero with a walk-off jack in his return Monday. It's been a disappointing campaign for Jung -- he has a .697 OPS in 2025 -- but he's begun to find a groove at the dish since the Rangers recalled him from the minor leagues. The third baseman is riding a 10-game hitting streak since returning from Triple-A Round Rock, during which he's slashing .382/.447/.647 with three homers and eight RBI covering 38 plate appearances.
