Correa went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run in Saturday's 9-8 win over the Orioles.

Correa opened the scoring with a two-run blast in the first inning before adding a single in the fifth. The 30-year-old has now hit safely in eight straight games, batting .338 with six extra-base hits, 12 RBI and 11 runs scored since rejoining the Astros at the trade deadline. • Dean Kremer SP | BAL

Orioles' Dean Kremer: Serves up three homers Saturday

Kremer did not factor into the decision in Saturday's 9-8 loss to the Astros, allowing seven runs (six earned) on seven hits and one walk with four strikeouts over five innings.

Kremer was mostly undone by a nightmare first inning, in which he surrendered five runs on three homers. It continued what has been an up-and-down season for the 29-year-old, who's delivered eight quality starts but also allowed five earned runs or more in eight of his 26 outings. He'll carry a 4.19 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 127:38 K:BB across 152.1 innings into a home matchup with the Red Sox next week.

  • Astros' Cristian Javier: Early hook in no-decision

Javier did not factor into the decision in Saturday's 9-8 win over the Orioles, allowing five runs (three earned) on three hits and four walks with three strikeouts over two innings.

Javier generated 11 whiffs but threw just 39 of 65 pitches for strikes, laboring through only two frames. After a strong five-inning debut Aug. 11, the 28-year-old has managed just five combined frames in his past two outings. He'll carry a 5.40 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 10:6 K:BB across 10 innings into a home matchup with the Angels next weekend.

  • Orioles' Jeremiah Jackson: Hits first career homer in loss

Jackson launched a 439-foot blast in the fourth inning before adding an RBI single in the eighth. The 25-year-old has made an immediate impact with the Orioles, slashing .339/.361/.492 with five extra-base hits, nine RBI and eight runs across 61 plate appearances while starting 15 of 20 games since his debut Aug. 1.

  • Bryan Abreu RP | HOU

Astros' Bryan Abreu: Secures third save

Abreu earned the save in Saturday's 9-8 win over the Orioles, striking out one in a perfect ninth inning.

Abreu was called on to protect a one-run lead in the ninth and needed just nine pitches to notch his second save in as many days. For the season, he owns a 1.52 ERA, 0.99 WHIP and 89:25 K:BB across 59.1 innings while converting all three of his save chances since Josh Hader (shoulder) went on the injured list.

  • Nolan Schanuel 1B | LAA

Angels' Nolan Schanuel: Departs with wrist soreness

Schanuel exited Saturday's game versus the Cubs due to left wrist soreness.

Schanuel flied out to right field in the bottom of the fourth inning and was later removed from the contest in the top of the sixth with the Angels trailing 6-0. He went 0-for-2 at the plate prior to his departure. Consider Schanuel day-to-day ahead of Sunday's series finale with the Cubs.

Lewis is now up to eight home runs on the season, three of which have come over his last six games, during which he's gone 7-for-22 (.318) with one steal, five runs and seven RBI.

  • Mick Abel P | MIN

Twins' Mick Abel: Roughed up in Twins debut

Abel (2-3) took the loss against the White Sox on Saturday, allowing six runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out two across three innings.

Abel was recalled from Triple-A St. Paul ahead Saturday's start, his first in a Twins' uniform since being traded by the Phillies in late July. Abel yielded nine runs in his last two starts with Philadelphia, and that trend continued with his new team as he gave up six runs in the second inning, highlighted by a Colson Montgomery grand slam. Abel now sits at a 6.43 ERA and 1.54 WHIP across 28 major-league innings this season. With Pablo Lopez (shoulder), Simeon Woods Richardson (illness) and David Festa (shoulder) still on the IL, Abel is slated to make at least a couple more turns in the Twins' rotation. Things won't get easier for Abel, as he's lined up to take on the Padres at home next weekend.
