Kolek (5-5) earned the win against the Twins on Saturday, allowing two runs on six hits and one walk with four strikeouts over seven innings.

Kolek was spotted an early lead and ran with it, throwing 64 of 95 pitches for strikes while limiting the Twins to just two extra-base hits in his longest outing since a complete game shutout May 10. The 28-year-old has delivered quality starts in both of his appearances with the Royals and now owns a 3.88 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 63:27 K:BB across 92.2 innings this season. He's slated to face the Guardians on the road next week.

Loftin went 3-for-5 with two doubles, two RBI and one run scored in Saturday's 11-2 win over the Twins.

Loftin made an early impact, driving in runs with doubles in the first and third innings. The 26-year-old notched three hits in a game for the first time this season, breaking out of a 1-for-13 skid over his past 10 contests. On the year, he's slashing .209/.282/.361 with four home runs, 19 RBI, 16 runs scored and a steal across 178 plate appearances in a part-time role for the Royals.

Perez went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run in Saturday's 11-2 win over the Twins.

Perez gave the Royals an early 4-0 lead with a 415-foot blast in the first inning before adding a single in the second. The veteran backstop has now homered in three of his past nine games, though he's gone just 6-for-33 during that stretch. On the season, he's slashing .240/.283/.447 with 25 home runs, 81 RBI and 48 runs scored across 557 plate appearances.

Garcia won't take his turn in the rotation Sunday against the Rangers, as Framber Valdez is slated to make the start instead, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

According to McTaggart , Garcia isn't dealing with an injury, but Houston wants Valdez to start the series finale instead. It's not clear if that means Garcia will pitch in Toronto on Tuesday for what had been expected to be Valdez's next turn on the mound.

Valdez will start Sunday's series finale against Texas, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

Luis Garcia had previously been slated to start for Houston on Sunday, but the team decided to go with Valdez instead. Per McTaggart, Garcia isn't dealing with any sort of injury -- the Astros simply decided to move up Valdez's turn in the rotation. It remains to be seen if Garcia will take the mound Tuesday in Toronto for what had been scheduled to be Valdez's next start.

Giolito (10-3) allowed four runs (two earned) on seven hits and three walks while striking out two over five innings to take the loss versus the Diamondbacks on Saturday.

Giolito threw just 53 of 94 pitches for strikes. He struggled in the second inning after an error allowed the Diamondbacks to put together a three-run rally, and that was enough to sink the Red Sox in what ended up being a 5-1 contest. Prior to Saturday, Giolito had allowed just five runs over his previous four starts, covering 25 innings in that span. While he's had a few shaky outings this season, this was just his third loss and his first since July 18 versus the Cubs. The 31-year-old has maintained a 3.38 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 107:46 K:BB through 130.1 innings over 23 starts. His next start is projected to be at home versus the Yankees.

Rogers did not factor into the decision in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Dodgers, allowing two runs on eight hits and one walk with six strikeouts over 5.1 innings.

Rogers gave up runs in the third and fifth innings but was otherwise sharp, racking up 16 whiffs while landing 71 of 96 pitches for strikes. While the outing snapped the southpaw's run of 10 straight quality starts, he's still allowed three earned runs or fewer in all 15 of his outings this season. He'll take a 1.51 ERA, 0.87 WHIP and 87:20 K:BB across 95.2 innings into a road matchup with the Blue Jays next weekend.

Witt's MRI on his back returned negative results, and he could return to action when his spasms "loosen up enough to play," Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.

Witt exited Friday's game against Minnesota due to back spasms and didn't play Saturday. It sounds like he's not dealing with a significant injury, however, so he should be able to avoid a stint on the IL. Witt's return to the lineup will likely depend upon when the spasms in his back subside.

Suarez went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a walk in Saturday's 10-2 win over Atlanta.

The homer was the 43rd of the season for Suarez and his seventh with the Mariners. The All-Star third baseman is running out of time if he wants to record the first 50-homer campaign of his career, and the move to Seattle has done no favors for his fantasy value. Suarez has been fine with a .751 OPS over 17 games on the road since joining the M's, but his .609 OPS across 16 outings at pitcher-friendly T-Mobile Park is significantly dragging down his appeal for home contests.

Baz did not factor into the decision in Saturday's 3-2 loss to the Guardians, allowing two runs on five hits and one walk with eight strikeouts over five innings.

Baz allowed two runs in the fourth inning but was otherwise sharp, throwing 55 of 82 pitches for strikes while racking up 17 whiffs. The 26-year-old has turned in two quality starts over his past three outings, giving up just five earned runs with a 21:5 K:BB over the entirety of that span. He'll carry a 4.94 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 164:57 K:BB across 155 innings into a road matchup with the Cubs next weekend.
