The Royals announced Tuesday that India underwent season-ending surgery to repair the labrum in his left shoulder.

India hasn't played since April 18 and was placed on the injured list eight days ago due to a shoulder subluxation. After further testing, India required season-ending surgery. The 29-year-old's 2026 campaign ends with a .167/.310/.313 slash line with two home runs, eight RBI, eight runs scored and an 8:13 BB:K across 58 trips to the plate. It's been a disappointing two years for India in Kansas City after posting career-low numbers in 2025. Michael Massey and Nick Loftin should continue to see most of the reps at second base for the Royals.

The Twins selected Garcia's contract from Triple-A St. Paul on Tuesday.

Garcia signed a minor-league deal with Minnesota last Tuesday, and after giving up one earned run over two appearances at St. Paul, he'll join the big club to replace the injured Garrett Acton (shoulder). Garcia has already made six MLB appearances with the Mets this year and gave up five earned runs across 6.1 innings, so he'll likely be limited to low-leverage work with the Twins. Zak Kent was designated for assignment in a corresponding move.

The Twins placed Acton on the 15-day injured list Tuesday with a right shoulder strain, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.

Acton made his last appearance April 25 when he allowed an earned run on two hits and struck out two in an inning of work against the Rays. In corresponding moves, the Twins selected the contract of Luis Garcia and designated Zak Kent for assignment to make room.

Caminero was removed from Tuesday's game against the Guardians in the first inning after fouling a ball off the right side of his face, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Caminero fouled off a pitch that hit the ground and then bounced up and hit him in the right side of the face. He stayed in to finish his at-bat and grounded out before then walking down the tunnel with the training staff. Ben Williamson has entered the game at second base, and Richie Palacios has shifted over to third base for Tampa Bay.

Manager Dan Wilson said Tuesday that Donovan (groin) is expected to return from the injured list during the Mariners' upcoming homestand, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

Donovan is eligible to return from the IL as of Tuesday, but the M's will give him a few extra days to recover before activating him. The 29-year-old infielder has been going through workouts and baseball activities back in Seattle for the past few days, which suggests he could be ready for the start of the team's weekend series against the Royals.

Ginn (shoulder) was deemed healthy by the Athletics' training staff Tuesday following his shortened start Sunday against Texas, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

Ginn exited in the fourth inning against the Rangers with right shoulder soreness, but all tests have come back clean, and the right-hander will throw his normal bullpen Wednesday. Ginn has enjoyed a fine start to his 2026 season, logging a 3.24 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 19:9 K:BB across 25 innings. Assuming he makes it through his bullpen without issue, Ginn should be lined up to make a start during the team's upcoming weekend set with the Guardians.

Jobe (elbow) threw a bullpen session Tuesday, Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press reports.

This marks the first time that Jobe has thrown off a mound since he underwent Tommy John surgery last June. The 23-year-old righty still has a long way to go in his recovery process and isn't expected back until August or September at the earliest, but it's an encouraging sign of progress for one of Detroit's top young arms.

Slaten (oblique) threw a bullpen session Monday, Christopher Smith of MassLive.com reports.

Monday marked the first time that Slaten has done any kind of mound work since he landed on the injured list in early April with a right oblique strain. Interim manager Chad Tracy said the right-hander is due to throw another bullpen within the next several days, after which the team will evaluate his progress and potentially determine when he may come back from the IL.

Massey is not in the lineup Tuesday versus the Athletics.

Massey has slashed .389/.400/.722 with a home run and four RBI over his last five games since April 21. He previously had a four-game hit streak, but he went 0-for-2 April 26 versus the Angels. As he gets a breather Tuesday, Nick Loftin has the start at second base and is batting eighth.

Gray (hamstring) threw a bullpen session Monday, Christopher Smith of MassLive.com reports.

Interim manager Chad Tracy said Tuesday that everything went well during Gray's first round of mound work since his placement on the IL and added that the plan is for the 36-year-old to build up volume during his next bullpen session. Gray will be eligible to return from the injured list May 6 and seems to be on track to return on or shortly after that date.
