Martin didn't factor into the decision Friday against the Astros, allowing four runs on six hits across five innings. He struck out three and walked none but hit two batters.

Martin cruised through the first five innings Friday, and he left the game having allowed one run and with the bases loaded -- all three runners came around to score on a Christian Walker three-run double later in the frame. Martin was one of the most surprising pitchers in the majors during the first three months of the regular season, but he's been trending in the wrong direction. Factoring in a nine-run implosion against the Yankees on June 16, Martin owns a 6.06 ERA and 1.68 WHIP across 32.2 innings in his last seven starts. He'll aim to bounce back in his next start against the Yankees at home.

Bubic (elbow/shoulder) began a throwing progression Friday with 30 throws from 45-to-60 feet, MLB.com reports.

Bubic had been shut down from throwing since the beginning of July due to shoulder soreness, which cropped up while he was rehabbing from left elbow soreness that landed him on the injured list May 18. Resuming a throwing program is a positive sign, though the southpaw still has many hurdles to clear before returning to game action at the big-league level. Before hitting the shelf, Bubic posted a 3-2 record with a 4.11 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 51:26 K:BB across 50.1 innings (nine starts).

Weng (5-6) earned the win in relief Friday against the White Sox after allowing two runs on two hits and a walk across two innings. He struck out one.

Teng pitched the fourth and fifth innings, as the Astros had to come up with a plan on the spot after Spencer Arrighetti (foot) was taken out of the game following the first inning. Teng has made 10 starts and 15 relief appearances this season, and he could be a candidate to rejoin the rotation if Arrighetti is forced to miss time.

Gray (5-0) earned the win Friday against the Mariners after pitching a scoreless sixth inning, allowing one hit and striking out two. He did not issue a walk.

Gray entered the game in the sixth inning, and while he gave up a single to Cole Young, he closed out the inning by striking out Luke Raley and Colt Emerson. Gray needed just 14 pitches (12 strikes) to complete the frame, and the 31-year-old right-hander has been pitching well of late. He's held the opposition scoreless in six of his nine relief appearances this month, including each of the last three.

Gore didn't factor into the decision Friday against Seattle, allowing three runs on seven hits and two walks across five innings. He struck out five.

Gore avoided what would've been his third loss since the beginning of July, but the fact remains the veteran has been trending in the wrong direction lately. This marks the fourth time across five outings this month in which he gave up at least three earned runs, and he has failed to pitch more than five innings in all but one of those contests, too. Gore owns an inflated 7.66 ERA with a 1.50 WHIP across 24.2 innings in five starts in July. His next outing is scheduled to come against the Rays on the road.

Miller (4-5) was tagged with the loss Friday against the Rangers after allowing five runs on six hits and a walk across 5.1 innings. He didn't record a strikeout.

Miller has dropped his last three decisions and five of the last six. The most surprising aspect of this outing is the fact that he didn't record a single strikeout for the first time in 2026. Miller is trending in the wrong direction and has gone 1-5 with a 4.01 ERA and 1.13 WHIP across 33.2 innings over his last six starts, allowing seven homers. His next start won't be any easier, as he's scheduled to face the Dodgers on the road.

Latz earned his 20th save of the season Friday against the Mariners. He allowed one run on one hit and struck out one without a walk over one inning.

Latz needed 21 pitches (16 strikes) to close out the game Friday. Even though he allowed a double to Colt Emerson, who later scored on a wild pitch with two outs, Latz got the job done by retiring Julio Rodriguez on a groundout. Latz has converted each of his last 15 save opportunities, posting a 1.48 ERA and 0.70 WHIP across 24.1 innings in 19 appearances over that stretch.

Rogers didn't factor into the decision Friday against Atlanta after allowing two runs on six hits while striking out six across seven innings. He did not issue a walk.

Rogers has been tagged with the loss just once in his last nine starts since the beginning of June, a stretch in which he's gone 4-1 with an 1.80 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 45:14 K:BB across 55 innings. He's also allowed two earned runs or fewer in seven straight outings while notching six quality starts over that stretch. Rogers has been mentioned as a possible trade candidate ahead of the Aug. 3 deadline, but he remains in Baltimore for now, and his next start is scheduled to come against the Tigers on the road.

Schanuel went 2-for-5 with one RBI and one stolen base in Friday's 7-6 extra-inning loss to the Giants.

Schanuel rarely taps into any speed -- his steal Friday was his first of the season. Perhaps he has some confidence going, as he's hitting .375 (21-for-56) with an 8:8 BB:K across 15 games in July. Overall, the first baseman is batting .282 with a .748 OPS, six home runs, 36 RBI, 32 runs scored and 17 doubles across 84 games this season.

Grissom went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run in Friday's 7-6 extra-inning loss to the Giants.

Grissom tied the contest with his blast in the eighth inning. Over 13 games in July, Grissom has gone 17-for-52 (.327) with five extra-base hits and 10 RBI. He has seen fairly consistent playing time since the All-Star break, splitting time between second and third. On the year, he's batting .255 with a .720 OPS, a career-high six homers, 40 RBI, 25 runs scored and 13 doubles over 63 contests.
